Not a bad price point at all imo. I've already gotten my money's worth. Brian even checked the warehouse for the other pair I wanted (sold out too), which I appreciated. Customer service alone makes this location worth visiting and let me add, the old-school music vibe int he store was perfect to start my morning.

The staff here are just so unfriendly unprofessional and unhelpful. Very short and uninterested. I get it, it's retail, but like you don't have to be there. I've never once had a positive customer service experience from this location and today takes the cake. I sincerely doubt I'll e er shop at American Eagle or Aerie ever again after this experience and I have reached out to corporate to get a resolve because it was THAT bad. I had an online order. that I had shipped to store for pick up to avoid paying for shipping. You are supposed to have 7 days from the arrival. 3 days later I got an automated text saying it was going to be canceled if I didn't pick it up by the next day. I called was like hat is going on? They "extended it" to Monday (5 days after arrival) The gorl I spoke to was very short with me and very rude. The next day I got he same text. I call back and go trhough it again. The next day (Monday) I get it again and call to say hi this should be her till Wednesday, I was coming in today but I don't feel well so I'll be there tomorrow (Tuesday) fine we'll "extend it" (again should be fine until Wednesday) 10 am rolls around which is when they open on Tuesday and I get a text saying my order was canceled. So I call again, (This is the 4th call about one order), to ask what is going on, also to say don't cancel it as you just opened so it should be in your stock room. I'm on the phone for 47 min, speak with 4 people, including the manager and an assistant manager, only to be told first "sorry they shouldn't have canceled it and sent that text, not sure why that happened" then, 47 min later "we never canceled your order and we don't send the texts corporate does..." so lots of different information, lots of wasted time. No one gave me a name while on the phone, at any point in any of the calls. When I got here to pick it up they couldn't initially find it (seriously?) but they found it. I asked for the manager and assistant manager's names (as they did't give them to me o the phone) and the girl at the dest DIDN'T KNOW EITHER OF HER MANAGERS NAMES. She had to ask someone else. What? How? Customer service matters. They don't get that here.

This week, I made it my mission to find myself my first authentic one as an adult! Immediately, I remembered Laredo. I work as a Costumer in the Film & Television Industry, and years back, I used to assist a beloved Costume Designer on shopping trips to Plaza Fiesta. Since I had the day off, I decided to come in with my boyfriend. The shop is just as I remembered--filled with lots of great pieces. They have an assortment of price ranges, which is great, and everything is good to excellent quality! Jose, the lovely salesman who assisted us, was fantastic! He was so kind, personable, and helpful. He even measured my head so I would know what my size was (surprisingly, I had never done it myself), and used a hook to bring down the options I was looking at. Some I found to be a little out of my desired price range, so when I humbly informed him of this, he politely guided us over to other options that were more in my budget. I ended up leaving with the perfect first hat for me. Jose told me that if I come back with my receipt, on weekends, they have a man who comes in to shape the hats to your desired shape based on the chart provided, and do a cleaning too, complimentary for first(?) purchases. I look forward to coming back and buying more things! I've already got an ongoing list!

He pulls out the schedule of activities and reads off "Semi-formal or Indian." Hmmmm...we called up a couple of our Indian friends to make sure we wouldn't be offending anyone if we showed up decked out in traditional garb and, once we got the thumbs up, ventured out to see what we could come up with! My mother actually recommended this shop - she loves the colors and sparkles of Indian clothing - that is found next to Chat Patti near the N. Druid Hills and Briarcliff Target. I had initially planned to get a sari, but the saleswoman steered me toward a salwaar kameez (dress with matching pants) after warning me that attempting to wrap the sari on my own could prove to be more challenging than understanding the Lost finale. Clothing sizes vary from US clothes, so be sure to grab a wide range to try on and get the feel for the sizing before you get your heart set on any specific outfit. With some assistance, I started out with a few that made me look like a dowdy mother of the bride, followed by a few that were cut so skimpily in the front that they were practically obscene. Eventually I found the perfect fit in a gorgeous purple/fuschia number with elaborate beading on the bust. Inspired by my clear affinity for wearing Indian clothing (or perhaps the realization that wider range of options = greater potential for sales), my saleslady relented on the sari issue, picked out a gorgeous burgundy and gold number, and showed me twice (I assisted the second time) how to wrap it. I almost remembered how to do it myself (many thanks to Youtube for thre refresher course!) later! The people in the store assured me that if I was really in a bind, anyone at the wedding would be happy to assist me, although I imagine it would have caused an interesting stir if I had marched into the reception with my sari half-wrapped... I ended up getting both outfits - salwar kameez for the morning ceremony and lunch and the sari for the evening reception, and travelin' man got a traditional outfit for the morning as well. We even got a discount, although I am sure our price was still twice as much as what would have been offered to Desi customers. Although I felt somewhat self-conscious when I first arrived and started poking around, being the only non-Indian in the store, by the time I left I felt like part of the family. So don't be afraid to ask for help! And give yourself time to really dig around - there are so many colors, patterns, beading, etc. that every outfit in the store is truly unique. You'll want to be able to take your time as you sort through all of the different options.
