I ended up purchasing the 9060 Mushroom with Arid Stone. They're a little bulky but comfy and look great with my cozy sweatsuit set. I paid $160 plus tax. Not a bad price point at all imo. I've already gotten my money's worth. Brian even checked the warehouse for the other pair I wanted (sold out too), which I appreciated. I have been a fan of New Balance Shoes for years. I have wanted to stop in to this fine-looking store every time I pass by. Finally stopped. From the minute I walked in until the second I left, I was never greeted, nodded to, or asked if I might wait a few minutes until someone was free. I had the money burning a hole in my pocket, but after 15 minutes of feeling invisible, I left. I will never return. They had more attire and shoes for men than for women. read more

I purchased my latest pair of New Balance shoes at this store in Toco Hills, Decatur. This is a relatively new New Balance store. It opened in 2018 at the busy intersection of Clairmont and North Druid Hills Road. If you spend any time in this area, you've more than likely seen this store and driven past it. When the soles on my previous pair of New Balance shoes started cracking, I knew it was time to buy a new pair. Having passed by this store numerous times over the years, it was this location in Toco Hills that instantly came to mind. This is the only New Balance store in Atlanta ITP (inside the perimeter). There used to be stores in Buckhead (https://www.yelp.com/biz/new-balance-atlanta-2) which is where I purchased my previous pairs of New Balances, but those stores have since permanently closed. I didn't realize this until visiting this store, but New Balance stores are franchised out. Currently, I believe all four of the New Balance stores in metro Atlanta are owned by the same person/group. The other locations are OTP: Marietta (East Cobb), Alpharetta (North Point), and Buford (Mall of Georgia). Of the four locations, I was told by a staff member here that this is the busiest location. Good for them. For my everyday sneakers, New Balance is the only brand I've worn since the early 2000s. I've also only worn the 990 series in gray. I'm a boring creature of habit. First, I had the 991. Then, I had the 990v3. Now, I have the 990v5. If I recall correctly, the 991s lasted roughly eight years before the soles literally started disintegrating. The 990v3s have lasted about 8.5 years and, while the soles are cracked, they still have life left in them so I've kept them as backup/secondary shoes. Kaelon, the sales associate who helped me at this store, said my 990v3s still looked good. I told Kaelon I wanted the same thing as my 990v3s and he pointed me to the newest version, the 990v5s. I purchased the same size, same color as my previous pairs. Curious about other models since I've stuck with the 990s for so long, I asked Kaelon and my wife (who came along with me) if they had any other recommendations, just to see what else was out there. The Fresh Foam 880v11s and 860v11s looked and felt great. I loved how they felt; super light, comfortable, and bouncy. However, I stuck with the tried and true - and more durable - 990v5s. The Fresh Foams retailed at $129.99 while the 990v5s were $184.99. The 990 series are among New Balance's top-of-the-line shoes. I noticed on my receipt that I got a $5 discount. Not sure what that was about. After state sales tax, my purchase totaled $194.39. I'm all about investing in an excellent pair of tennis shoes like the New Balance 990 series because, simply put, they are great for my overall health and comfort (feet, knees, back, etc.). A few nights after our visit, my wife realized that I could have saved more money on the shoes had I purchased them off New Balance's website using Rakuten. Oh well, not a big deal. I was happy to support Kaelon and this local store. Kaelon was very nice, honest, and straightforward. He didn't try to push anything on me. My kind of salesman. Note: There are some discrepancies between what you see online for this store and what they actually have in-stock when you go in person. Before my visit, I tried to scout out what they had and the inventory I saw online was different in many instances. Also, there were three different websites for this store when I looked. Finally, as a San Antonio Spurs fan, I thought it was cool to see the giant photos of former Spur Kawhi Leonard as well as his basketball shoe on display in person. Ever have a nearby store you drive past hundreds of time but never pay it much attention? I must have driven past this New Balance store a zillion times without giving it much notice. But when I needed a new pair of running shoes, this place came through in a big way. The employees rock! Jason got me the perfect shoe in no time flat. After doing a quick assessment of my foot, he was able to get me a super comfortable shoe for walking, running, and high intensity interval training. In addition, the insoles he recommended were right on the money and provided tremendous support and comfort. The shoe was so wonderful that I went back and purchased another pair to keep at work since we have some gym equipment right in the building. When I had a problem with the shoe feeling different, Jason took care of it and even offered a complimentary pair of insoles. So far, the shoes have held up great and I'm thrilled to have found a great athletic shoe store. Parking is a breeze with plenty of parking spaces and entrances on both North Druid Hills Road and Clairmont Road. Bought a pair of new balance tennis shoes on February 1, this year. , 6 months later the shoes are torn around the toe area and worn out and hurt my feet. I walk one mile on a treadmill 4 days weekly so not a lot of wear. I called new balance customer service and was told there is nothing they can do . I asked for a return call from a manager but that call never happened . I went online and found there customer service email. I sent an email , a few days later the offer was a $10 voucher and an apology for any inconvenience . Seriously I paid $130 and got 6 months of use. I needed some serious work shoes, and here I was not disappointed. Upon entering the store we were cheerfully greeted by Bryan, who diligently listened to every issue I had. He immediately told me to remove my shoes and placed my feet in their amazing 3D scanner, analyzing every inch of my feet. He then informed me of foot issues I wasn't even aware of. I stopped by to get help with my plantar fasciitis. I don't really care for new balance shoes, but I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. Jason Aiken helped me and was the best sales person I've had in quite some time. He was very polite, very knowledgeable about the product, made me feel very comfortable, and did not pressure me. I am definitely a fan of this product now. He even taught me some exercises to help with my foot. When I think of a popular sneaker the sneaker that comes to mind is definitely not New Balance. Of all the stores that they could have opened this would be my least favorite sneaker. But I decided to give it a whirl anyway since it was a closest store to me and I was looking for a new pair of kicks. The staff was surprisingly helpful although they had no other choice but to be seeing I was the only one there to help. Who would have thought that this store have more to offer than I ever expected. I haven't worn New Balance in years so going back to the store I had no idea what to expect. For the past several years I had been experiencing extreme pain in my feet, specifically the heel. The doctor said that it was due to tight calf muscles and I should stretch them 3 times a day but I still wasn't satisfied with doing just that as I was still in pain. I remembered New Balance was the standard for shoes that support all kinds of feet and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Jason the salesman was attentive, he placed me on the machine which was able to exactly diagnose the pressure I was feeling and my exact size. We went over the different options which if you have wide feet like me are usually one or two hideous pairs. Not here! All the shoes were available for wide feet which was incredible. He suggested an insole that would redistribute the weight away from my heels. He was not pushy at all and placed them in so I could feel the shoe with and without them. Honestly, the shoe was so great most people won't need it but I have been in so much pain I literally could barely walk after I ran the last few years so I purchased the insoles. I have ran everyday this week with no pain, I can walk for hours and actually live a healthy lifestyle again. They even had a simple machine that helps stretch tight calves and hamstrings. I purchased that as well and it has done wonders for my calves and feet. DO NOT spend your money on nikes and adidas, they are narrow and offer no support. Even without the extras the shoes I tried at New Balance were superior. Ask for Jason if you go but all the sales people I saw helping customers were great as well. Do yourself and your feet a favor and invest in a better shoe here at New Balance. read more

I had an incredible experience at the New Balance Tocoa Hills location off Clairmont Road. I'm a nurse and I love wearing NB because they provide the best support for my long work hours. Bailey (sales associate) had me stand on a device that scanned my foot to determine what type shoe would fit my foot best. He then took me over to the shoe selection and pointed out the styles that he recommended. Bailey was so thorough and patient with me. After I selected the shoe I wanted to purchase, I asked Bailey if I would be able to use my friend's credit that she wanted to transfer over to me. Bailey explained that I wouldn't be able to use the credit because it was purchased at the Buckhead location. At this point, he attempted to call the Buckhead location and they were "too busy to assist him." I went out to my car to call them and they told me they had the shoe and my size. I went back inside the Tocoa Hills location to tell Bailey I was going to head to Buckhead. I called back to find out the cost of the shoe at the Buckhead location. The Buckhead location then told me they didn't have my size. The Buckhead location was so nonchalant about it and didn't apologize for giving me inaccurate information the first time I call. Bailey could see my frustration and he asked if I would mind waiting a few minutes while he talked to his manager. Within a minute or so Bailey came back out and told me they (Toccoa Hills NB) would allow me to use the credit. First of all, they didn't have to do this for me and I recognize that. I was so appreciative of their hard work and efforts to take care of me. The NB at Tocoa Hills location went above and beyond to satisfy my need. Their customer service is excellent!
