I was working in Tucker today and decided to look for the nearest DSW. I was pleasantly surprised to find this was only a few miles away. Not having been to the Tucker area in a long time, I did not even notice the new shopping center, The Meridian at Tucker. It is less than a mile away from Northlake Mall, but on the other side of the 285 bridge. I didn't realize my (GPS) turn was coming up, so I actually missed the entrance from Lavista Road. I tried to enter through the IHOP parking lot, but there's no access. Fortunately, there's another entrance through Northlake Parkway, just across the street from the Old Hickory House. The shopping center, despite being open since May 2017, looks brand spankin' new. It is occupied by DICK's, Ross, Hobby Lobby, Newk's Eatery, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and a joint Caribou Coffee/Einstein Brothers to name a few. Plenty of parking. I don't see that ever being an issue even during busy holiday shopping months. I arrived just before 3:30 pm and parked close to the front of the store. I was immediately greeted by staff members upon entering. I saw just handful or less people shopping. My first impression- it's huge. Compared to the DSW by the Forum and Shoppes at Webb Ginn, this is much bigger. This also has 2 gender neutral bathrooms, as opposed to one at the other stores. Although bigger, I think the selection might be similar to the said DSW stores. Just has more room to wander around. They had top brands like: Nike, Michael Kors, Sperry Top-Sider, Steve Madden, Adidas, etc. I came by just to look and try on shoes I saw on their site. The ones I tried on had all the sizes available. I did not buy anything, but came close to buying a few pairs of shoes. Had to talk myself out of it. I spent almost an hour at the store and by the time I left, the number of customers had doubled in size. Overall pleasant experience. Will definitely return in the future!

This location is just so-so. I prefer the Stonecrest or Buckhead location a lot more. They both are bigger and more selection. The weather is getting cooler and I needed shoes as I have been wearing flip flops all summer. Anyhow I found what I needed and left. No one greeted me when I entered and the prices arr not all that lower than regular stores, anyhow I had a coupon so that helped. They do have super cute accessories and handbags if you need a gift or something!

Love the selection but they never seem to have my size. I find myself browsing here and then just ordering what I find in my size online. Employees are nice and they have a great selection of athletic shoes.

Larry is great at what he does!…read more I brought 4 pair of shoes for repair and/or polishing, and they were ready as promised. More importantly, they are beautiful! I'm specifically impressed with my boots and my Cole Haan oxfords. They look as great as they did when I got them, and I will absolutely be bringing more shoes here. Some reviews have expressed varying levels of frustration. While I can't speak for anyone else's experience, I can offer a few tidbits to manage your expectations: -Bring your shoes in the off-season. My shoes took about 3 weeks from the time I dropped them off. This did include polishing, new heels, and custom insoles. You'll likely be less irritated if you don't need the repairs in a hurry, especially because to my knowledge this is a solo act. -Larry was very nice and professional, but not over-the-top. Some might read this as rudeness. To me, it comes off more as straight to the point. You'll be greeted, asked what you'd like done, given recommendations, and a timeline. Pretty no frills. Also important to note is that I didn't feel pressured into services I didn't need. - Services aren't cheap, but I found the cost to be well worth the investment for what I paid full price for my shoes.

I thought I'd be very happy with this shoe repair store because I like the old town feeling of…read morehaving a store I can walk into and get my shoes repaired. But when I walked in and discussed the repair of my shoes, the guy at the desk seemed overwhelmed and was stating how much work he had to do, which is inappropriate! You shouldn't present to your customers that you have too much work. I felt like I was being a burden to him by wanting him to repair my shoes. I said to him you should be happy for the business. The inside of my boots needed some cleaning but my main issue was my heel. He said the cost to replace the heel and polish up. The boots would be $70 . I said OK but then I asked about cleaning the inside of the boots. He said that would be another $50. I said absolutely not. I could buy another pair of boots at that price. The boots only cost me $110. I was having them because I like them. When I picked up the boots a few weeks later the heels were replaced, which I was happy about. But the rest of the boot looked basically the same. No " spit polish. " the boots look the same as when I brought them to the store. They just had new heels. Anyway, I won't be returning. I tried to support a local business. But they need to really watch how they speak to customers. Suggestion: do not complain to new customers that you have too much work. Always go above and beyond. I'm gonna give you one star rating. I won't say I don't recommend your business. I don't have an option to be "neutral" so I'll choose "maybe".. Because it is my wish for the highest good for everyone always. And we all have bad days from time to time. Blessings

Parking: Plenty…read more There are not many stores open at this mall. It is a rather dark, dreary, desolate & deserted mall. The food court had about 2 - 3 restaurants open, and it was freezing cold. It looks like they have doors open with these large airvac type accordion piping blowing cold air inside. Hopefully, they will get other business & restaurants to return & make the mall more vibrant. 1 is my rating.

Lots of empty spaces and quiet hallways. About 5 retail stores and 2 food court options. A mall's food court always tells the tale when it comes to business and Northlake's court speaks of dismal awareness. This mall has quite nice planters, fountains, and glass roof. None of the stores I came to shop at were currently operational. I ended up purchasing a pretzel, a cookie, and some Oriental food. Couple of Watch repair and Jewelry stores can be considerable. Construction is on going near the back entrance of the building, so I am hopeful that this is a sign of better things to come. Northlake Mall is a shopping mall northeast of Atlanta in the Northlake community of northern DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. The mall was once owned and managed by Simon Property Group - but since February 2016 has been owned by Texas-based ATR Corinth Partners. Anchor store is Macy's. This mall is spacious, clean and well maintained. They have few shops like Macy's, JC Penney in this mall. This mall has other stores including few eateries. Marta bus to Chamblee transit station is available at walkable distance from this mall. They have a spacious parking area.
