I loved this place! First of all, April went out of her way to get me in. My Covid hair was out of…read morecontrol. It was a pretty late appointment after a long work day. April did not judge, but encouraged me to have that evening cocktail I so wanted. She also put on an old school playlist that brought back so many great memories. Her husband even brought us BOTH food later that evening as neither of us had eaten. I mean what stylist does that? Oh! And least I forget. She noticed my nails were um, less than presentable (they were awful), so she invited the nail tech from the next suite over. I was getting tagged teamed in the best possible way!! I will edit this review when I find the nail techs name she was freaking BOMB! Now let me continue! I didnt really know April prior to coming in. Less than an hour into my apt, I'm sipping a coktail, we're singing, and cutting up, like two old freinds. It was the break I needed in that crazy week. Not only did I just have a good freaking time, she did her dang thang on my hair. I don't know the fancy terms for what she did, but it came out beautiful!! She also educated me about the crap I had been putting into my hair. Her process, aided by great products, has kept my hair from feeling or appearing damaged like it normally would after any lightening process I've been through before. Highly, highly recommend y'all!

STOP, turn around & go elsewhere. These people will RUIN your hair. And after they give you the…read moreexact hair color that you told them in the beginning you DID NOT WANT, and warned them that your hair will turn auburn if they don't mix it right, YOU WILL HAVE AUBURN HAIR. As soon as she rinsed off the color, I said, "Oh no! it's red! I told you, I am a blonde& if you don't mix the color right it will turn red." "That's not red, it's your scalp that's pink." Then, they won't style your hair, but have you leave with it wet. "If we style it, it will frizz." Then use product! "No, I can't style it, it's frizzing." Of course, it's frizzy, you didn't use any product & you just barely dried it!! Then when you go to check out, thoroughly disgusted, they will charge you DOUBLE what they quoted when you came in. I am a blonde, not a red head. After she rinsed it, I could see that it was RED. She said, "No, it's just your scalp is red." Come on woman, I can see it with my own eyes!! Afterward I went to another salon & asked them, is this auburn? They all agreed it was. If you look at a horse, but tell everyone it's a butterfly, it's still going to be a horse. Then I go to pay & it's bait & switch. Instead of the $65 color quoted, suddenly it's $110. Then when you talk to the owner Angela and ask her to fix it, she will make it obvious that she DOES NOT CARE!!! "You didn't make clear what you wanted.". Lies, deception, rip off !!!! Now I have to go to my mother's funeral with dark auburn hair Level 5 when I am a blonde Level 8!!! I will have to have color correction & that is another $200. I intend to warn all of Temple about this incompetent, crooked hair salon so other women's hair hopefully won't RUINED for a big event. E'lan Salon equals HORROR STORY!!

I'm experienced in getting my brows threaded. This particular place was an interesting (?)…read moreexperience. While waiting to get my brows done, it sounded like another worker in the back was mad shit talking. I assumed she was on the phone as she'd pause once in a while after ranting. It was extremely loud and echoed out the door. The woman doing my brows was quiet but very good at what she does. Now saying that. I don't think what happened was her fault as my brows did look good afterwards. The string she used was... waxy? Like floss almost. The area around my brows STUNG like a bitch. They were red and angry, and no aloe vera was offered. I don't believe they had any. The stinging lasted two days. I couldnt do my makeup and had trouble with the shower as it hurt. There was no cuts but tiny welts did appear. I've never had this happen before, but it might be a one off incident.

I moved from Hollywood, CA to Temple, TX- to be closer to my only sibling and his family; because i…read moreknew it'd be easier being a 'Better Aunty' if I'm actively in my Nieces and Nephews lives. Being the 'Aunty' i am- i require maintenance- which there's absolutely nothing wrong with. This all includes care my hair, skin, and nails. If you're like me- when I live in a city- I'd like to have 'my team' as close as possible- because a nearby commute is always lovely. HOWEVER- I'm also known for driving up to 95-minutes (one-way) for a service/treatment that's going to have me walking away SATISFIED & feeling better about myself. Well after moving to Temple, TX- i found myself driving to Austin, TX (monthly)- in search of a Skincare Specialist whom i *TRUSTED to perform facials & treatments on my skin; because I couldn't find anyone nearby I personally felt was consistent with giving me more than I expect- at a good price (considering my commute and all)... And thats why- after I find a skincare place- I join their 'membership' (hoping they offer one) to save on services & products. I stumbled across Royal Love Beauty Spa in Temple, TX; But the lack of reviews had me nervous to give them a try... I didn't want to pay for a service that'll have me walking away from, feeling like they only washed my face! Lol!.. Anyways- I'm THANKFUL that I gathered enough courage to go there- because you just can't trust ANYONE with your skin!.. And after a few months of going there- i can honestly say, I've received the BEST care for my skin than I've ever had in Austin, Harker Heights, Dallas, Beverly Hills (CA), ETCccc! My Specialist is Samantha. And she'll have your skin in the healthiest state it's ever been. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her & her amazing staff. Their professionalism is phenomenal. You'll walk away not feeling like 'a client'- but also, 'a family member'. They offer Tanning (which i don't use because of my natural color); Lash & Brow services; Facials; Detoxification services; Weight-loss treatments; Wraps; Waxing; Permanent Cosmetics; Gift/Product shop; Etc... I can't tell you whether or not- if they offer a membership. But at the affordable price list (cheaper than most)- i never thought to even inquire about it. LADIES... I promise you will eventually tell your man/woman/person to give 'gift cards' from here for future presents... Or- maybe you could surprise a friend or Loved-one with one yourself... They offer professional services to men as well. (Photos attached are: Level 2 TCA peel (5-7 days of peeling). Noninvasive skin treatment used to treat skin discolorations, scarring, & wrinkles. Removes dead skin cells & stimulating new skin cell growth.)
