We did the whiskey tour with the high end whiskey tasting. The host was very nice and informed. It was a gorgeous drive in and stunning establishment

This distillery is both fun to visit as a date or in a larger group. Fascinating history and production facility combined with great ambiance and dinning opportunity. Make reservations and have a blast. Service great. Food is enjoyable.

Views: 5/5 High West Distillery has incredible scenery all around. This distillery is a dream for anyone who loves gazing out into nature and enjoying a peaceful getaway Service: 5/5 Our server was so kind and accommodating. They even arranged a custom made plate from the chef for our gluten-free friend Food: 4/5 The food was good! We especially loved the freshly carved meat, along with the salad bar, main bar, and dessert bar. The brunch buffet offered a great variety of options. Drinks: 5/5 High West Distillery had SO many fun drink options. Everyone's drink looked so good. I can't wait to come back and try more! These drinks are perfect for the summer. Cost: 4/5 A bit pricier than your average meal, but well worth it for the beautiful views, friendly service, and buffet style dining experience that's more rare in Utah Dogs: Plus they allow dogs in the outdoor seating area, which makes for an even more convenient and fun visit

The service was very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is incredible. A beautiful view of the mountains through all of the windows. Nice gift shop. You park and then take a shuttle up to the distillery/restaurant so allow 10 minutes before your reservation. We did not tour the distillery but had a wonderful, relaxed lunch. Don't skip the baked pimento dip! Everything was great! Loved the cocktails too! The gin cocktail is really good and welcome for those of us that are not bourbon fans! Everyone else enjoyed bourbon cocktails and I understand the 2025 dram is fabulous!

Drove up from Park City. Parked and took the shuttle from the Lounge to the Distillery. The shuttle driver with the cowboy hat and big beard was a hoot. Beautiful grounds! Went to the bar for a whiskey flight. I enjoyed the flight and talking with the bartender Bryan who also gave us some tips about the area and turned us on to a cider bottle shop in Kamas. Five star bar experience. After the bar we headed to the gift shop. Tried to engage the clerk there who seemed pissed off about something. Tried to ask about shipping whiskey but she didn't give a darn. Ok I guess I won't buy the $150 bottle then. 1 star for the gift shop and the angry lady. We will try the tour next time and avoid the gift shop.

Enterence to buffet. Sun was 65$ ea

Had Cal as our tour guide for the Whiskey tastings. He was so inviting and explained a ton. The grounds are beautiful the staff is wonderful. Such pretty views!

What a beautiful location, pretty high up and remote. I came here for a wedding and the views were stunning. They even gave us a small tour of the distillery which was dope. Bartenders actually knew how to make good drinks!

We were a party of seven so we had our own private room. We were celebrating an anniversary so it was so perfect. The space it self is very spacious and lively. Lots of fun to be had. The cocktails are endless. The bartenders have a nightly special that they do every evening. They made a espresso martini using their whiskey. It was so good. My favorite part about it was they put some flaked sea salt on top of the almost whipped cream topping. delicious. We had smoked chicken wings which everyone enjoyed. Very well done. The Brussels sprouts were so tender and they cooked them with some of the stem greens which were awesome. A nice spice with the chili oil made it so satisfying. The elf meatballs were on one of the best polenta I ever had. So creamy and satisfying. I had oyster mushroom tacos so yummy and satisfying. They had a pork schnitzel that was tender and delicious. Good place to go wonderful desserts lots of wonderful cocktails fun had by all. Our server was so awesome. He made sure everyone was taken care of.

Beautiful drive up to the distillery and restaurant. The highlight was actually our bus driver from the parking lot to the distillery where he gave us a quick background on the distillery and the ranch . Unfortunately we did not plan ahead enough and book a tour, that's ok. Got to check out the giftshop and the restaurant. We already ate so didn't need the brunch buffet. A dram and cocktail worked great and enjoyed rhe nice weather and rustling of the leaves in the wind. Very relaxing.

Our drinks. I forget exactly what we had but they were not standard drinks.

Review: 4.2/5 Stars Ambiance and Atmosphere: 4/5 High West Distillery has a cool old west, rustic, cowboy bar vibe with unique decor like mason jar lighting, a giant paella pan, and interesting signage. The dim lighting adds to the atmosphere. I imagine the mason jar accent wall looks amazing at night. There was little noise during our visit as there wasn't too many there, but thanks to high ceilings and decorated walls, I cannot imagine it getting overly loud even when full capacity. However, the bar stools were tight and heavy, making bar seating less comfortable, especially for larger individuals. Table seating was OK, but not overly comfortable. Service: 5/5 The hosts were welcoming, and our server was really friendly and knowledgeable about the specialty cocktails. She was timely and gave great recommendations on drinks without being pushy. Food and Drinks: 4/5 We only stopped in for drinks, but the prices were pretty reasonable considering the touristy area. Cleanliness: 3/5 The place was clean, but don't expect it to be spotless--it's got a rustic feel. The glasses, tables, and chairs were all clean and well-maintained. Accessibility and Location: 4/5 Parking seemed mostly street-based, though we walked from nearby. It's not on main street but easy to spot with its matching old west exterior. Overall Experience: If you're in Park City, UT, this spot is a must-visit for that rustic, mountain town vibe. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially if you prefer more modern places, but we enjoyed it enough to want to come back and maybe try some food next time.

Great tour of distillery to learn how it's all made and blended. Great facility and staff.

When you arrive at the distillery you are greeted at the bottom gate. They have a very nice waiting area for the shuttle that will take you up to the distillery. The tour with Dan, was amazing! So knowledgeable about their process. A great story. I learned so much about the history of Utah. At the end of the tour your are in the tasting room with several different whiskeys. I loved the entire day spending it on the amazing property. Beautiful views of the valley.

Ask the Community - High West Distillery

Are dogs allowed for dining?

They are pet friendly at the Park City location in the outdoor seating, however, it's limited and tends to fill up quick at busy times.

Do they take reservations or walk in only?

For the tours, reservation only. For brunch both but its best if you get a reservation (and they close at 2:30pm)

I know the tour is free but how much does it cost to do the tasting room after?

Yes, we tased the 5-flight and it was $23. You can choose to only taste 1, 2, 3, etc or all them or none.

If visiting on a Sunday, do you have to do the brunch buffet or can you order from the regular menu?

It's only brunch for $40/adult and $20/child

How much does the tour cost?

There was no fee for the tour. We tipped our guide. There is a fee for the tasting.

How long is the tour?

Less than 20 minutes

Chris & Ashley, co-owners of New World Distillery, have perfected the ideal distillery tour. It was a seamless blend of technical distilling knowledge, equipment explanations, liquor industry lore, & of course, taste-testing. We tasted 7 of their products, straight & neat, & learned a bit about each one. The vodka was amazingly drinkable. Distilled from agave, it has a pleasant sweetness to it that differentiates it from other vodkas. It also, unsurprisingly, smells a bit like tequila. At the tail end of the tour, Chris made the smooooothest transition to a lil speech on supporting small distilling. The war against big booze rages on, but Chris definitely gained some small booze warriors that day. It's clear they love motorcycles at this distillery. Half of the spots out front are reserved for bikes. I hope to come back on my hog someday. Thank you Chris & Ashley for inviting us into your world for a little bit. We could only take one bottle with us (we got on a plane to Rhode Island the next day) but we'll definitely be back for more someday.

We got seated and to start the chairs were dirty (first people of the day sitting here), my water had something in it, and the silverware was dirty. We ordered the bread appetizer, but no plates to put the bread and oil on. We ordered the shrimp and grits, which was very bland it needed salt. Ham and cheese omelet, which my mom also thought was bland, French toast, my son enjoyed. The Benedict, my step dad enjoyed as well. Finally chicken and waffles, which was as expected. On the plus side the service was great and the price was reasonable for the portions. Overall I was not impressed and more than likely would not recommend, at least not for brunch.

He told me about the company, and I HAD to get a few bottles. I made the drive to go to the distillery, rather than just getting everything at the State Liquor Store. I ended up getting the Peanut Butter, Peach, and Huckleberry whiskeys, as well as their award-winning gin. Not only can you buy the bottles, there's a fabulous bar inside that really showcases the quality of their drinks. All the employees are kind and helpful. They gave me advice for making cocktails, and were overall a pleasure to chat up. I'll be coming back again! Worth the drive 100% if you're not from around the area.

Once we arrived there was a nice, masked friendly gentleman who was very knowledgeable about the store at first we were probably not going to buy anything however after talking for a little while we both walked out with something I got a moscule mule: It was okay for 3.00 a can, is it my favorite no but refreshing. My buddy got PB whiskey it was pretty good, a splash of Pepsi in it is what I recommend however you could do it straight. Another note: Is they are in the process of building a bar in addition to the store so that is pretty cool it's not up yet however you can go through the " tour" see the plans on the wall and space. Overall experience - friendly safe staff. - followed covid 19 processes. - soon will have a bar which will be a nice feature. Would I go again? Probably however I learned a lot of the items carried are local so I was hoping for that " gem " whiskey, however, the drive was nice.

Their grand opening was this weekend, and they supplied some great food. It was a joy to meet Alan and Julia Scott. Julia was finishing up some bottling and answer some questions about the stills and distilling process.Alan was doing the tastings. His website does a better job than I saying what he's doing. "We've discovered a rich vein of pre-Prohibition herbal spirits, bitters and LONG LOST liqueurs. We intend to mine these recipes for flavor gold." That's really true. I don't love all of them, but I can appreciate how well done they are. That said, I love the special release high molasses Rum. I bought all they would sell me. It tastes right to me. There's a lot of rum around town, but they are made with either all cane sugar, or mostly cane sugar. That makes a really clean tasting rum, but removes a lot of character. I'm in love with a place that's making alcohol with a twist. I also like that they use two labels. Anything with Waterpocket on it is 100% distilled and created in their facility. We have some pretty big names around town that do not do that. They purchase already distilled base and blend/complete/modify it to meet their needs. Alan is completely up front. If he's completing a product, no matter how good it is, and he didn't do 100% of it, he labels it with Robbers Roost. I left with bottles of both labels because the Robbers Roost light whiskey was excellent.

Waterpocket is hands down the most innovative, creative distillery in Utah. Alan and Ana are changing the landscape of craft cocktails in Utah by introducing new flavors, ingredients, and twists to familiar liquors that will spice up any cocktail. It is apparent that both Alan and Ana are beyond passionate about what they are doing and it shows in the quality of their work. My personal favorites are their Robber's Roost Light Whiskey and their Long Lost Eau de Melisse. I am not a gin fan, but their Eau de Melisse is a great substitute and is great with tonic. I would highly recommend a trip to their distillery to learn about their process and ingredients from Alan himself and to taste the variety of liquors, bitters, and spirits they have available. You'll likely discover tastes you've never encountered before. You can purchase all of their spirits directly from the distillery and can find a smaller variety of them at your local State liquor store. Their liquors and spirits are also making their way into local bars, restaurants, and they have even been at local events such as Made in Utah lately. Highly, highly recommend checking them out!
