    Bourbon Pecan Pie

This is the coziest little spot. It's a little hard to find so just look out for the signs that lead you downstairs. Pie comes from a local baker and each slice is warmed up and served with a piece of cheese. Cocktails were very tasty! A little pricey so more of a treat yourself let's celebrate place!

We were excited to try this little bar, it looked cute and cozy and had good reviews. We were a little disappointed. The service was just okay; the bartender was not very friendly at all, maybe she was having a bad day. But it was a Friday night, and the place was pretty busy with just the one bartender. Overall, the drinks were pretty good. I got one with hot sauce in it, and it was pretty spicy, with a kick at the end. The other drinks were tasty and not too sweet. We did not try the pie though, so we will have to next time we visit.

Espresso martini and pecan pie. Sooo good!

I am STILL thinking about their Espresso Martini and Pecan pie!!! Try them, you will not be disappointed! My husband and I got pulled by their super friendly door person, last Saturday night 6/18. I so wish I could remember his name, he was awesome. He suggested the espresso martini, pecan pie and cherry sour. My husband had the cherry sour, which was also delicious. The decor was fun and inviting, and lounge chairs were so comfortable. The service was all around outstanding. We live out of state, but can't wait to return some day!

What an amazing job this place has done. Not only is their alcohol top notch but they also have created an area where you can buy their special batches that aren't in liquor stores, their swag and see if they are giving tours. I highly recommend checking out this place.

What an amazing place! I just walked in during the afternoon and Katie was more than prepared to help. I told her I wanted to come back later in the evening to celebrate with family and she went above and beyond and arranged for a cake to be delivered along with our tasting. She then did an incredible job explaining the liquors and answering our questions and then made some great cocktails! Such a good experience in literally every regard!

    Tasting lineup!

We loved the vibe and drinks. The lounge like seating for our groups was great. Love the bourbon and gin.

What a fantastic experience. They have to be the best spirits in Utah by far! The alpine preserve is one of my favorites.

Our group took an Uber over for a tour and some tasting on a Saturday. It was a fun trip, very informative, good tasting whiskey.

The gin and tonic was also really good- and that's coming from a non gin drinker.

I'm usually someone who only has one drink when I'm out, but I thought it was so good that I ended up having multiple. I also got the Exotic Burger, which has meat from 4 different sources. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time too. Filling, tender, overall great burger. The fries were awesome too, I love that style with the batter. Ask for fry sauce from the back! Definitely would recommend and return here. Had a great experience. A little on the pricey side but worth it.

We got seated and to start the chairs were dirty (first people of the day sitting here), my water had something in it, and the silverware was dirty. We ordered the bread appetizer, but no plates to put the bread and oil on. We ordered the shrimp and grits, which was very bland it needed salt. Ham and cheese omelet, which my mom also thought was bland, French toast, my son enjoyed. The Benedict, my step dad enjoyed as well. Finally chicken and waffles, which was as expected. On the plus side the service was great and the price was reasonable for the portions. Overall I was not impressed and more than likely would not recommend, at least not for brunch.

The drinks were delicious and we were also so impressed by the food! I ordered the gimlet with gin, lime juice, pear syrup, and sage. It was really delicious. My partner got their old fashioned, which we didn't realize was made with gin until after we ordered it and it was delicious - I'd never had a gin old fashioned before. The food menu here was small but mighty. We got the French fries which were in fun shaped spirals and they were fluffy and also crispy and so delicious. We also got the smacked cucumber salad that was really refreshing and a hint of spice. I also got a tofu burger - with fried tofu, hot honey and a pickled veggie mix. It was really unique and yummy - I've never had something like this before out at a bar. The bun was soooo good, and all of the flavors were delicious. I'm excited to come back here!

Their grand opening was this weekend, and they supplied some great food. It was a joy to meet Alan and Julia Scott. Julia was finishing up some bottling and answer some questions about the stills and distilling process.Alan was doing the tastings. His website does a better job than I saying what he's doing. "We've discovered a rich vein of pre-Prohibition herbal spirits, bitters and LONG LOST liqueurs. We intend to mine these recipes for flavor gold." That's really true. I don't love all of them, but I can appreciate how well done they are. That said, I love the special release high molasses Rum. I bought all they would sell me. It tastes right to me. There's a lot of rum around town, but they are made with either all cane sugar, or mostly cane sugar. That makes a really clean tasting rum, but removes a lot of character. I'm in love with a place that's making alcohol with a twist. I also like that they use two labels. Anything with Waterpocket on it is 100% distilled and created in their facility. We have some pretty big names around town that do not do that. They purchase already distilled base and blend/complete/modify it to meet their needs. Alan is completely up front. If he's completing a product, no matter how good it is, and he didn't do 100% of it, he labels it with Robbers Roost. I left with bottles of both labels because the Robbers Roost light whiskey was excellent.

Waterpocket is hands down the most innovative, creative distillery in Utah. Alan and Ana are changing the landscape of craft cocktails in Utah by introducing new flavors, ingredients, and twists to familiar liquors that will spice up any cocktail. It is apparent that both Alan and Ana are beyond passionate about what they are doing and it shows in the quality of their work. My personal favorites are their Robber's Roost Light Whiskey and their Long Lost Eau de Melisse. I am not a gin fan, but their Eau de Melisse is a great substitute and is great with tonic. I would highly recommend a trip to their distillery to learn about their process and ingredients from Alan himself and to taste the variety of liquors, bitters, and spirits they have available. You'll likely discover tastes you've never encountered before. You can purchase all of their spirits directly from the distillery and can find a smaller variety of them at your local State liquor store. Their liquors and spirits are also making their way into local bars, restaurants, and they have even been at local events such as Made in Utah lately. Highly, highly recommend checking them out!
