Wow! We are happy to have High Tide in Goodyear and definitely is one of our new favorites locally. We went tonight with friends and all four of us were totally satisfied with everything! Loved the ambiance, decor feels like you should have an ocean view, stunning! The service was excellent, from the hostess, to the wait staff and even the manager stopping by to check in on us, all of them were welcoming and attentive. Our food was truly delicious, we started with the crab cheese bread, yummy. Our dishes were the seafood enchiladas, sea bass, halibut and chips, the portions were generous, all of us were sharing bites and loving all the selections. Thank you High Tide for opening in Goodyear, a great location and is now our favorite seafood restaurant in Arizona! read more

I had high expectations but this place disappointed me. The food was just bland, not well seasoned, despite it looking good. The mussels needed salt and seasoning, and the cioppino had a strange unpleasant flavor. The yellowtail roll was pretty good. We ordered 2 cocktails that took over 20 minutes to come out, and they were both not what we ordered, so we returned them. We also got the wrong sushi roll and had to let the server know the one we got was not yellowtail but ahi tuna. He did not know the difference between them. Overall, the service was pretty good and the restaurant was clean, but food and drinks were disappointing. read more

The wife and I decided to stop in here after seeing a movie NextDoor at the Harkins on a Saturday afternoon. This is in the new city of Goodyear city center. Very nice little restaurant area. Limited parking went busy, but there is a parking ramp nearby. Nice atmosphere and interior when you walk in. Huge bar area. TV is mostly only visible from the bar area directly. When we sat down, they gave us like four menus. I have to say that the menu situation is overbearing and kind of ridiculous. If we're there at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, then give us the menu that applies to 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Or give us a lunch menu and a happy hour menu that's based on the lunch menu not the dinner menu. Because the happy hour menu makes no sense based on the lunch menu. You basically have to go back-and-forth between the four menus to figure out everything and what makes sense. They need a lot of work on reducing this and making it logical. You shouldn't have to think this much to figure out what menu you wanna order from. And then to top it off, there was two items listed on the happy hour menu that are not to be found on any menu and have no idea what's included in those items. We had to ask for that and he brought out yet another menu that was written in a six point font that you could barely read. WTF are you doing? All right, so now let's get to the service and the food and what really matters, although they need to fix that whole menu situation it is just brutally poorly done. Service was really good, although, even with the five menus nowhere is there a beer list. How is that possible when you have an entire drinking wine menu, which I did not count in the food menus. Why are the beers not listed? They have numerous beer options BTW. After all the consternation with the menus, we decided to go with the lunch menu. We both got a different bowl of soup, one of us went for the New England clam chowder, and the other for the lobster bisque, and then we did the crabcakes and the lobster Mac and cheese. Both of the soups were very good. Full of clams and lobster respectively. Good tasting. Clearly made in house. Although both of our preference lean towards the New England clam chowder is our favorite. We did do the bowl and they were decently sized bowls of soup. The crabcake was very good and came with a lemon aïoli and a chard corn relish. Had excellent flavor. It also included a fried avocado which I personally felt needed some type of sauce. Probably like an eel sauce or something along that line would be my first thought, but it definitely needs a sauce. By itself it's just a fried avocado and it was just OK. The lobster mac & cheese was a huge surprise. First, the serving is huge. I truly expected about half the size bowl that we got. The flavor was fantastic and there was a lot of lobster chunks. Maybe the best lobster mac & cheese I've ever had and the item I would recommend the most by far out of what we tried. We do intend to go back and try some other things. I do hope that they work out their menu situation because it just shouldn't be this confusing or this much work to figure out what to order from. Make a decision based on the time. It's really quite simple. And make a beer list. Don't make a server run through 20 beers for me. Overall good experience and it is definitely more of a seafood oriented place that it is a sushi place. Very limited sushi menu. Which we were fine with because we expected a seafood bar. We did not try the oysters, but I do wish they offered charbroiled oysters, which they do not. read more

The food here was amazing. I got the Chilean sea bass and it was remarkable. We also ordered drinks and they were great and strong. Our server was great too! read more

Real good food but fix your service. Very slow service on a Friday yet some tables were empty and did have a line going out the door. Lots of servers walking by somehow delayed. We'll return. Structure your staff. read more

The bar is beautiful, and I like how the restaurant opened in the early summer. It gave the employees time to rehearse and proactive their service. Food is just OK, we have been there four times. The seafood enchiladas are wonderful. The lobster bisque and clam chowder are terrible: too much flour. The oysters are mostly breading, and only three. It is great to have a seafood restaurant in Goodyear, and a nicely esthetic restaurant, but the food needs to improve before we return. read more

High Tide was outstanding! It was our first visit, and this place did not disappoint. Outstanding staff, knowledgeable and perfectly attentive. Well-made cocktails. Appetizers were amazing, Ceviche, Sushi, Sourdough loaf = must haves. I have to say, the Seafood Enchiladas were so delightful. Not what I was expecting at all, and I was apprehensive to order. What you may expect, is not what you are going to get. These are how they should also be prepared, baked to perfection with just the proper amount of cheese and sauce, a pure delight. Well done team and compliments to the Chef on this one! read more

The place was good I enjoyed the location I went with friends as I was visiting out of the area our server was so nice however he kept forgetting stuff. The bartender messes up my friends father in laws lemon drop by putting salt instead of sugar on the rim and it wasn't a great drink. Service was decent but definitely overheard others having issues and when we needed our server he was no where to be found... I enjoyed the sashimi as it was very fresh and I tried the crab garlic breadstick o would rate it a 5 out of 10. The place was beautiful just needed better service although he was nice I think they may have been short staffed read more

Excellent food. So good to have seafood in the West Valley. Prices are great, especially for seafood. We sat at the bar and one bartender was fantastic, the other was a little inattentive. Overall great though and we will definitely be back. read more

We had a delicious lunch with excellent service. The calamari was really tasty as well as the pasta lunch dish. Highly recommend!

I read the reviews before going and thought I would check it out for myself. Took some friends with me to get their opinions as well. Was promptly greeted by a wonderful hostess and are waiter was well informed and answered all our questions and even provided us with tasting of their gumbo. The both soups were very good. Plenty of lobster in the bisque and plenty of clams in the chowder. The sushi, calamari, edamame and the enchilada plate was very good Oh and the ice tea is really good. No complaints here. read more

I've been here multiple times for happy hour. The 2 bar tenders this visit must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Snotty, shaking heads as if annoyed when all I did was walk up to the bar to order a drink as ai waited for my party. Hostess came to set up table next to me and as a courtesy I let her know there was a sticky spot on the table (she was setting menus down for a reservation). I was POLITE....and as she walked away she made eye rolls at another young staff member who reacted in kind. What the actual hell is wrong with these people?? no wonder they only have 3 1/2 stars. read more

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this for a while and we are SO glad we did. The rating on Yelp is wild because we absolutely loved everything. The calamari was so well seasoned and crispy and both my sea bass and his salmon were so tasty. The pistachio risotto and seared bass were delicious! So happy with our experience! And our waitress and the hostesses were all lovely! Great service and great food! read more

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at High Tide. The cocktails and wine selection was great and our drinks were yummy. I would highly recommend the cucumber gin martini! We ordered the crab cake and calamari as appetizers and they were both delicious. Then we tried the salmon BLT and the cioppino which were both scrumptious. Our server was super professional and attentive and they offered us a free dessert for our anniversary. We can't wait to go back to High Tide! read more

Two times I've come on Friday's and waitstaff has not been great. Hard to understand if it's the waiters themselves or the structure of the restaurant. Long wait for refill, waitstaff seems to have tables spread across vs sections causing issues. During my meal this past Friday, I heard the table behind us speaking to our waitress about how long the wait times were the previous Friday and how they were seated at 6 PM and didn't receive their food until 8 PM. I'm sorry but no restaurant especially this one is worth a 2hr wait. Another issue I encountered during my meal was that I ordered sushi rolls. The sushi never arrived and at the end of my meal when I let our waitress know, she gave a confused response and asked if I was sure until she ultimately removed the sushi from my bill. Bottom line; tried 2x will not be making a 3rd trip to this place. Much better place in the West Valley. read more

An OUTSTANDING bar/restaurant, A-Z. We ate there Saturday night, food was a 10 out of 10 as was our server Shelby. She was sharp, knowledgeable, engaging and fun. We met the owners, Kim and Chris...great people. We enjoyed it so much we're going back Monday night! read more

The atmosphere of eating seafood in "Land-locked Arizona" was great; clean tables and seating and bathrooms, with the midcentury decor and blue and white tile matchy matchy seat backs. The service started slow but after ordering drinks and food it was consistent checking up on our drinks and food quality. Maine Lobster, diverse selection of oysters, mussels and jumbo shrimp...its worth the price, remember Arizonans, we dont live near the ocean. I can handle the extra price because of shipping fresh seafood! I definitely recommend High Tide if you're a seafood lover on the WestSide! read more

This is a new location, and I know they need to work out the kinks, and obviously it's noticed. We had a reservation. We got there on time, they said about 5 minutes. Then it lasted longer, we did like the ambiance and the look of the restaurant. When I went back about 10 minutes later to check the the wait the excuse was, we have a big group, so we don't want the kitchen to get behind so you have to wait another 10 minutes or so. So about 25-30 minutes after our reservation we finally get seated. Mind you the restaurant was not crowded. The server comes to us and asks us if we want any drinks. We ordered some drinks and ask for water and also asked, do you serve any bread? Yes, we have sourdough bread. So after about 10 minutes or so the drinks come, still no waters and no bread yet. We ask, can we get some water, please. Had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes for the waters to finally come. So by now we have drinks in waters and we're about 45 minutes after our reservation. Had to ask for bread again. Here is the funny thing I get called on my cell phone as I'm sitting in a restaurant at the table from the restaurant saying "we have a reservation for you are you coming?" Really?? I'm like, I'm already seated at your restaurant. Oh, sorry. We ordered some appetizers and the server didn't seem like she knew what the oysters named so should I keep on looking at the menu on how to spell them. I know it's new, so we're giving everybody a break. Once we have all the appetizers and we're almost done eating she finally takes our dinner order. We ordered the chilean sea bass with parmesan risotto, cioppino, fish and ships and short ribs. The Short Ribs we're good, the Chilean Seabass was good with the parmesan risotto, now here where it goes bad. The Cioppino has so salty couldn't even eat it, same with the Fish so salty. We explained how salty the dish was to the server and this was her excuse, couldn't believe it. That's how the recipe is so. No apology, no trying to fix the issue. Just says, that's the way it is sorry basically. I told her, no, you really need to explain this to your kitchen or to a manager. This is not acceptable, and she said, okay and walked away. Never came back with a manager or anybody else to resolve this issue, disappointing. The next time we saw her, it was giving us the check Obviously they don't know how to handle issues. It's only been a week since they were open. But but you should get a manager or so the Chef to come over to the table. Also, when you hire people, they're supposed to be experienced in some degree, right? This sounds like they're not. More training is definitely needed. So I gave this restaurant 3 stars, really should be 2.5 max. This is based on the drinks being okay, the appetizers were okay and 2 out of the 4 meals were okay. There is a lot of potential here but you need to clean up your service at the entrance and table side and food quality on all dishes. We might come back one more time to see if anything is better, but not anytime soon. read more

omg you guys! Anyone who is lucky enough to live by one of these restaurants, I'm so jealous! I live in E Mesa. My daughter lives in Phoenix so this one isn't too far a drive but it is so....worth it! My daughter and I came for a girls night and it did not disappoint! The food, every single morsel, was so good! We just sat at the bar and grazed for hours. lol. We started with the scallops rockefeller, so creamy and delicious and rich. I love the bread crumbs. yum. Then we moved on to the sushi (dragon roll), just perfect. Then we had some gumbo and some red beans and rice and okra. I was bummed we were full because I wanted to try more! The wait staff were so friendly and we loved chatting them up. We had a great time. Can't wait to come back! read more

This place is located in the complex with City Hall. It looks like a newer development, very clean and safe area. The restaurant is modern and sleek, and the service was excellent. Food was good (especially for the west valley) though a little expensive on their entrees. They could work on their plating presentation but the flavor was there. Wine Wednesday was a fantastic deal with half off bottles and glasses which we loved! The thing that stood out though was the service. My family and I went for my mom's birthday and had Lena as our server who was so knowledgeable, kind, and funny. Going back, I'd even ask to be in her section which I've never done before at a restaurant. read more

We are so pleased to have High Tide in Goodyear. It's nice to finally have other options other than unhealthy fast food joints that are littered throughout our neighborhoods. We have visited this location now five times and each time is better. Larry, who works the bar, along with two other gentlemen always takes care of our orders promptly and efficiently. Everyone works well together and it's noticeable. The portions are great, fresh and delicious. Makes my mouth water. The space is quite cozy and open, well designed for group gatherings or a fun date with a loved one. read more

5/5 -- Exceptional Service & Outstanding Dining Experience at High Tide Seafood (Goodyear) I went to High Tide in Goodyear to celebrate a special occasion with my friends and we wanted to try something new. From the moment we were seated, our server Leena delivered one of the most impressive dining experiences we've had. As first time guests, I appreciated how she gave us a quick rundown of the menu telling us what the guest favorites are and offering thoughtful recommendations across all categories. She also explained High Tide's happy hour and upcoming deals like Wine Wednesday and Oyster Tuesday, which we definitely might check out if the experience is always this nice. One thing I especially liked about the service was that Leena offered us samples of the gumbo and soups before we ordered. That level of thoughtfulness and consideration is rare, and it immediately set her apart. Throughout the meal, our server was fast, attentive, and completely on top of everything. Our water and sodas were always full, and she was warm, personable, and incredibly professional. The food itself was fantastic. We shared the calamari appetizer, and it was honestly the best calamari we've ever had being perfectly crisp and flavorful. For our entrées, we enjoyed the gumbo with dirty rice and the Chilean sea bass, both cooked beautifully. Overall, High Tide is a wonderful seafood restaurant, and thanks to Leena, our first visit was very nice. Highly recommend coming here and we'll be bringing a larger party next time we come. Will definitely be requesting Leena as our server again! read more

We made a last minute decision for dinner on a Friday evening and were able to get in with a party of four with a very short wait time. We were greeted at the door by a cheerful hostess, and then again at our table within a few minutes by our server, Celeste. She was knowledgable regarding the menu options, offered two of our guests GF menus when she realized the kind of food they were requesting and the questions they were asking. She made great recommendations and had just the right amount of upselling (which were great suggestions as it turned out!) - Every one of us loved our dinners (Cioppino, poke chips, Spinach salad with salmon as protein, and a Salmon dinner dish) - everything was prepared as ordered. They had a good selection of beer and unique cocktails. I will definitely return! Great to see some good restaurants coming to Goodyear!!! read more
