Came for the vibe and waterfront view, which were definitely beautiful, and the bartender was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food and drinks didn't match the prices. The oysters were served with barely any ice on top and it's like they were almost dry by the time they hit the table, which was disappointing for a seafood spot. The quality and size were very disappointing. I would have rather ate oysters from the gulf vs the quality we were given. My martini also tasted watered down. Overall, the experience felt overpriced for the quality. If you're deciding between the two, their sister restaurant Grand Banks is easily 100 times better in both food and drinks.

Start with the obvious -- beautiful views. The service was exemplary. I loved my beverage (while I can't recall the name - it was gin with watermelon and lime- ever-so-refreshing).

Really chill bar facing the water and Brooklyn bridge. There's a nice view of the skyline as well. Service was friendly and quick. We got the Outer Banks, Victory Chimes, and Fleur de Lychee cocktails, which were all good but definitely on the sweeter side.

Gorgeous location. Came mainly for the oysters. The drinks are very overpriced and not worth the cost. The oysters were delicious.

Nice idea but not great execution. Great view and location but slow service, limited menu, and loud music will prob mean we don't come back.

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

I mean, I've had bad pina coladas at dive bars, but I expected more from this place. I would say it was very strong, though, so you know what? That's a good thing to be very strong for that price I'm paying. The spam musubi was also a rip-off. You see two here, but each one costs its own $10, so save your money. Eat somewhere else. Eat a pizza across the street.

We went on a Friday night with a party of 3 and did a walk in. That was a risky move and to our luck, the hostess was so sweet and squeezed us in as the last party of the night! This is a must visit when in downtown Brooklyn. We couldn't try the food since the kitchen closed and we were the last to enter but we were able to try 3 drinks and I recommend them all! 1. Donkey Conga ($22) Bourbon and aged cachaça centrifuged with Banana. Followed by Cynar & sweet vermouth. 2. Manta Ray ($22) Coconut cocktail of apricot, ginger, and mint. The stars finally aligned this winter and I had the opportunity to try it out. The vibes are perfect. Fog and bubbles, sea noises and all of the art go together seemlessly. Drinks were great. We had three and left suitably sloshed for the night with no aftereffects. We didn't have too many bites but the food was very good for a bar. I'm excited to go back and I hope we have just as much luck getting in next time.

We each got their "Happy Meal," which is their version of happy hour: on certain days in the early evening hours, you can get a drink, meal, and 80s themed toy. We also got the Jell-O shot special (fun!) and some other fried goodies (more fries, mozzarella sticks). Everything was tasty and freshly made. What really stood out was the fantastic service. The host was warm, enthusiastic, and had great energy to welcome us in. She made our first visit to this spot feel special. Our waitress was friendly, efficient, and checked in with us throughout the evening. There's also a cute photobooth to partake in (paid) if you'd like. Overall, a fun spot to have in your back pocket for post-show drinks or if you're visiting NYC on a bachelorette trip type of thing. (Would not recommend coming with coworkers)
