Tiki themed bar but not tacky or gimmicky. It is more trendy and subtle about the theme. The vibe is buzzing on 6ish on a weekday. The whole staff is straight from heaven. Everyone showed us the highest level of hospitality. A bit of a wait to get ordered but it was definitely because it was super busy as summer winds down. My coworkers ate so I cant speak too much on the food but it all looked good. The jello shots were creative and potent. Had a spicy margarita that almost took me out in the best way possible. Overall great spot and great for happy hour vibes.

Nice chill bar. Came here with some friends right before a concert at Madison Square Garden. The hamburger was good, friendly staff, and drinks are well made and strong. Definitely would come back.

I came here for happy hour or as Jungle Bird calls it "early bird specials" with some friends. We chose to sit outside and it was great for people watching. There's a decent amount of space and tables inside and it didn't feel crowded. We got: - spicy mezcal margarita - pinke pinke rosé - Moscow Mule Overall early bird food is just for munching so don't expect big portions. - fries: I like the sauce it came with. Fries were crispy and thin. - scallion pancake Caesar wrap: this was easily the best thing we all ate that day!! We were obsessed. This is not on the early bird menu - pork belly bao buns: these weren't that big and could easily be eaten in 2 bites. I would pass on it - shrimp skewers: you can't really mess up grilled shrimp - chicken satay: pretty solid. It came with a peanut sauce that I couldn't eat - cucumber salad: my friends loved this. I couldn't eat it bechase it has peanuts Our server was great and let us order another round of drinks at 6:59 pm right before happy hour ended at 7 pm. We would definitely come back!

The food at this restaurant was really good as well as the drinks. It's a really great first date spot with the perfect level of noise and dim lighting. However, the service was rather slow.

Fun place for happy hour! We didn't try any food however the service was outstanding and the drinks were really good. Super cute inside. Bathrooms are kind of dark so take your phone if you need to see what you're doing.

Love love love! Jungle bird was the cutest spot for a cocktail and late night snack! The dumplings were surprisingly delicious and the drinks were one of our favorites from the entire NYC trip! Decor and vibes were fun. You can tell it's a spot for both locals and tourists. Service was okay but it was packed. We were seated immediately and loved not having to fight over a space at the bar.

Jungle Bird is a vibe! Loved this place's vibe- modern and sleek- good food and drinks. I cannot wait to bring more of my girlfriends here. The signature cocktails are superb. They have lots of appetizers, including oysters (not pictured here) but were delicious. The jungle fries were also a hit. My friend made reservations for a Friday evening. We spent almost 2 hrs and they asked us to move to the bar after that time. The waiter was extremely nice but beware. All in all a great experience!

Fun spot in Chelsea with great drinks, good happy hour and and a banging playlist. Recommend for date night or with friends.

Spacious cocktail bar with great music and bartenders. Lots of unique cocktail options and lots of well made traditional cocktails. The food looked and smelled amazing too, although we went primarily for cocktails. Really enjoyed the lychee Jell-O shots. Super delicious with bits of lychee and gold glitter ($10 per shot).

Decent food and drinks, weird / snippy service. We were in a large group last month and had a reservation for dinner with a hostess assigned to us. I was surprised upon arrival that the group was to be seated in 2 tables that were not adjacent, on both sides of a door. When we requested for the adjacent table to be set up for us once it was freed up, the server gave us an intense response saying they would not move the tables. Later we got more cold reception when we asked about bread options for the vegetarian at the table. Other than that , the food was not bad, in particular the spicy calamari which we got 2 orders of. Some of the gyoza were a little burnt.

Went here Friday evening with two friends, just after happy hour had ended (7:30.) Inside, it was not busy at all, with a lot of open seats at the bar. Intended to go for a cocktail but ended up staying for two drinks, apps, and the Lychee Jell-O shots. Ambiance is trendy, with low lights and a lot of candlelight. Bathrooms were clean! I recommend the Bailadora cocktail and the shrimp skewers. The Jell-O shots were good, but not sure if they actually contained any alcohol, but I had to do it. Looking at the bar, they had a pretty good selection of Mezcals, Whiskey and Gin. My only gripe is that the bar started getting really crowded to the point where our seats were almost stolen when I got up to use the bathroom at the same time as one of my friends. There were many tables that said Reserved but no one ever sat at them for the 2 plus hours we were there, which was a bit perplexing. By the time we left at around 9:30, the bar was jumping.

Attended a luncheon party. There's a parking lot down the street on 8th Ave.. Jungle Bird party room occupies the 2nd floor. Its well ventilated. Staffers were very good clearing and cleaning the tables constantly. Bartenders were on a roll making all Jungle Bird specialty cocktails. For a few years now all my friends has agree their cocktails are very good. However, the food lacks quality, taste and luster as you can see from my pics below. Music vibes was great but a bit too loud for a small venue. Their first floor is for their daily customers who wants to come and chill out for a drink. It's okay venue but nothing stands out as different or a place that says it's a cool place. It needs updating but they got their cocktails down.

Lively atmosphere, tiki vibes, chic decor, good music, great cocktails and food options - nice place to hangout with friends. We walked in on Saturday evening 6ishand it was packed. There were few tables available but we opted to hangout at the bar - They allow standing which is great. We ordered tequila and mezcal cocktails and ordered couple of appetizers once we got bar seating. Everything was amazing , really liked the place. Will definitely go again with friends.

Decent cocktail bar in Chelsea. The first floor tends to be a bit loud, FYI. Plan ahead with a reservation, particularly on the weekends.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

They're experimental, whimsical, delicious, and worth every penny. My absolute favorite is Child of Light, and my BF's was High Frequency Device. We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. We chatted up a storm and he was able to create some drinks off the menu just for fun (on request). He also made my BF and me a couple of drinks to celebrate our anniversary too. Wonderful people and wonderful service. Needless to say, we will be back as frequently as we can!

Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. Tusk Bar inside The Evelyn Hotel feels like stepping into a well-kept secret from another century…read more The space leans fully into that Prohibition-era Art Deco elegance, low lighting, polished brass, velvet everything. It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm in the mood for a refined, slightly cinematic night out in Flatiron.
