Walked in here on a Friday night right when the upstairs bar opened (around 5PM) and was able to grab a seat at the bar. It's tiki-inspired with a fairly large list of signature cocktails. - I Wanna Be Adored (4.5/5) - A great cocktail. Fruity, but not too sweet, and well-balanced. - La Bailadora (4/5) - Also delicious, with a nice tequila/mezcal kick. The bartenders were friendly and skilled. Great music. Tiki themed bar but not tacky or gimmicky. It is more trendy and subtle about the theme. The vibe is buzzing on 6ish on a weekday. The whole staff is straight from heaven. Everyone showed us the highest level of hospitality. A bit of a wait to get ordered but it was definitely because it was super busy as summer winds down. My coworkers ate so I cant speak too much on the food but it all looked good. The jello shots were creative and potent. Had a spicy margarita that almost took me out in the best way possible. Fries were crispy and thin. - scallion pancake Caesar wrap: this was easily the best thing we all ate that day!! We were obsessed. This is not on the early bird menu - pork belly bao buns: these weren't that big and could easily be eaten in 2 bites. I would pass on it - shrimp skewers: you can't really mess up grilled shrimp - chicken satay: pretty solid. It came with a peanut sauce that I couldn't eat - cucumber salad: my friends loved this. Jungle bird was great! Great food and good drinks! The vibe and atmosphere is chill but very New York. Jungle bird is a dimly lit, aesthetically pleasing establishment with all walks of life dining. My friend and I got different cocktails twice and each of our drinks we enjoyed very much. The drinks are well made and balanced. JB serves itself to a tapas style type of dining to those who choose to do so with a nice variety of options to choose while you sip on a crafted cocktail. Our highlights were the pork bao buns, chicken and lemongrass dumplings, charred broccoli, chicken satay, and the ribs were yummy (loved the star anise flavoring) however, they were a little on the dry and overcooked side. Still very good flavor. The service was good. Our waiter was very attentive but also a bit pretentious when we sat down. We ordered close to 10 items and he didn't write anything down. He remembered 9 out of the 10 (kudos to him) but forgot our fries. We never received it and luckily weren't charged for it. He probably should write everything down next time so that he doesn't forget anything. We took our time and didn't feel rushed out on a busy Friday night which was nice. I would definitely come back here to try their other drinks and different food items on their menu. The Jungle Bird drink is their signature drink and I recommend trying for sure! read more

I came here on a Sunday night and it was pretty lively. (We had just come from a different bar that was slowly winding down.) They play pop music (think Ariana Grande) and the area between the bar and tables becomes a little dance floor. I thought the decor was well done, definitely gave classier bar vibes rather than a club. However, because the music was pretty loud, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place for an intimate date. I was surprised upon arrival that the group was to be seated in 2 tables that were not adjacent, on both sides of a door. Went here Friday evening with two friends, just after happy hour had ended (7:30.) Inside, it was not busy at all, with a lot of open seats at the bar. Intended to go for a cocktail but ended up staying for two drinks, apps, and the Lychee Jell-O shots. Ambiance is trendy, with low lights and a lot of candlelight. Bathrooms were clean! I recommend the Bailadora cocktail and the shrimp skewers. The Jell-O shots were good, but not sure if they actually contained any alcohol, but I had to do it. Looking at the bar, they had a pretty good selection of Mezcals, Whiskey and Gin. My only gripe is that the bar started getting really crowded to the point where our seats were almost stolen when I got up to use the bathroom at the same time as one of my friends. There were many tables that said Reserved but no one ever sat at them for the 2 plus hours we were there, which was a bit perplexing. We had some appetizers Jungle Bird French Fries Pork Belly Bao Buns Chicken & Lemongrass Dumplings Everything was really good. The presentation of the food was very nice. The spicy barbecue skewers were cooked perfectly and the sauce is a nice balance between spicy and sweet. The fries are drenched with lemon and it's a pleasant taste. If a bar is going to be called Jungle Bird, I'm going to stop by. I love me some jungle birds and when I walked in I expected to have some. This place was not a tiki bar as its name might suggest but was still a cool bar with good vibes. My first drink was the ungodly hour ($16) which was slightly sweet and easy to drink. It used Asian flavors and spirits like Japanese whiskey, shochu, and sake. The seaweed smell from the garnish when you take a sip was a perfect segway into the drink. My second drink was the jungle bird ($16) which was apparently their strongest drink on the menu. They made the drink using the tap shaped like a bird. It was slightly bitter from the campari but was still slightly sweet. The service was friendly and prompt even for how busy it was. It was a good place to stop by for a couple drinks. read more
