Horribly inconvenient hours! They open after I have to leave for work and close before I get home from work AND they have no weekend hours. WTF? I called to make arrangements for some simple engine work, an alternator replacement, and they were incredibly unhelpful. I couldn't drop my vehicle off before hours and they refused to accommodate my vehicle being picked up after hours..... even if I paid in advance. So please tell me how are gainfully employed persons supposed to get maintenance performed on their vehicles at this location? Am I'm supposed to use vacation days to get my car worked on now? One Star just for the complete lack of customer service. These people are rude and unaccommodating. I would make my rating lower if I could. Edit for Response: I reposted this from an experience I had over a year ago since you were somehow able to recently have this review removed from Yelp. The services you may or not have available for customers is immaterial when the person on the phone fails to inform you of those options. Worse yet, denies those options even exist when specifically asked about drop off and pick up. Also I am glad you read ALL of my reviews. So it should be obvious to you that I don't comment when minimum expectations are met. I post reviews for outstanding service (4 or 5 stars) and for completely failed service (1 star). I recently went to High Tec for service, I strongly recommend going there actually I've been going there on and off for at least 20 years never a problem. Took my Jaguar F-pace in for brake service. Skyler the CSR told me we should do the oil change as well and I agreed. Took 8 hours to complete and they call me to say the cylinders are not compressing. 60k miles on my vehicle and never had a problem before they worked on it Friday. I bring it back on Monday morning, Skyler tells me they will find out what's going on. I call 3 hours later and the owner Jonathan answers and BTW the worst customer service I have ever had. Didn't care that his shop ruined my car and takes no responsibility for their error, his response is "I don't have time to call every client and give them an update". I said I need answers and that this is his responsibility to fix my car, he calls me back 15 minutes after lying about contacting Jaguar and says he recommends I take it to the dealer. How is that for great service! My car has over $5k in engine damages. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THEY DONT DESERVE ANYONE'S BUSINESS. read more

After taking our Ford F-150 in for an oil change last Monday 5/3/2022, the truck has been leaking oil ever sense. IT HAS NEVER LEAKED OIL. Our driveway has numerous oil stains as a result (all pavers). They made an attempt to fix the oil leak but that failed. Then they attempted to powerwash the pavers and that did not work. Once again, I asked the owner to fix the oil leak and get a professional out here to clean the oil off my pavers (if that is possible)? It has been nearly a week and we're still waiting to hear from the owner (Johnathan) and get the necessary repairs done. I gave them one star for effort. read more

Jonathan and the crew at High Tech are the most honest people you could ask for. I recently took my Tundra to the dealership, and was told I needed a brake job that would run about $850. I was skeptical. Instead, I took the truck to High Tech and got a call immediately that my brakes were just fine. I took another vehicle of mine in to have a headlight bulb changed and they did it in five minutes free of charge. High Tech has performed maintenance on all my vehicles now, including my RV, and they get it done fast, and at the price they quoted. They have made me a customer for life! read more

Ive been meaning to write a review for this place but just didnt have the time. I brought my 01 4runner to get smogged here a couple months back. They had a coupon from a magazine for a discount for a smog check and I showed it to them without any fuss. The guy who worked at the counter even told me to hang onto the coupon for any other vehicles I had, sweet! The entire process took less than 20mins and I was in and out of there in no time. I brought my dads old early 90's mercedes to get smogged a couple months later and the same guy at the counter looked at my paperwork and told me there was no need for smog since the DMV didnt request it. I failed to notice that before I brought the car in and just assumed that because it was time to pay registration again the DMV would probably be asking me to do a smog check for this old car. They've got honest staff here who will give you the facts and not try to take advantage of any unsuspecting customers. I would recommend this place to anyone asking me where to go for smog. Wow twice in a row EXCELLENT service. First time I needed a smog check but with my schedule and work it was so hard to find a place open and didn't cost an arm and a leg. They were so fast 20 min tops at the close of their day. Second time I was in a rush for an oil change, mind you they were super busy on a Saturday afternoon and the wait was an hour before my car could even get in but they hustled and moved things around and I was out of there in 30 min. I came here for Smog Check noticing the car's Check Engine light was on. These guys did smog check, reported FAIL, charge $, tell me to bring the car back and leave it there for another $99 (for diagnosing) + fixing charges that "could be any amount". Don't they know it won't pass smog check if the Check Engine light is on, and advice me to diagnose first? I recommend to stay away from these bad guys. read more

Not recommended for smog as they do NOT offer free retest. My car was in the bay for less than 10 minutes, but failed as the car computer has not yet reset from a new battery. Many competing smog places in Simi offer at least 1 free retest with a fail. That was an expensive 10 minutes. read more

Needed someone to take a look at my battery because my car was struggling to turn over. Had a rude and condescending experience at Simi Chevy so I drove a few blocks down to High Tech Car Care. I believe Jonathan was the name of he guy who helped me. He was very friendly and helpful, he checked my battery for free when Chevy wanted to charge me $150 just to look at it. Ended up only costing me $160 to replace my battery including labor and they had me out in less than a half hour! I would highly recommend coming here for service. read more

This is my experience for a oil change/tire rotation. I called 3 places in the area to try to find the best deal, and this place definitely sold me. 10 dollars for the tire rotation, all the other places charged 30+. And about 55 dollars for the full synthetic oil change! All the other places charge typically 70-80. My total came to about 65 bucks after taxes for the oil change and tire rotation, and also a 10% first timer discount. They were nice, took only about 20 minutes and no issues. Definitely a great spot. The only thing is i wish it came with a car wash, that would be perfect. But can't complain. read more
