I dropped it off and came back later, and the first thing I noticed was the inside. There was dog hair and random crumbs everywhere before, so seeing the seats and floors cleaned up was nice. Armen responded fairly quickly with the price for the smog, no games or special hoops to just through, thank you very much. Price seemed right for a smog check and cert. and I liked how he was straight forward and helpful. Decided to go the following day, no appointment necessary, Armen said it would take maybe 30-45 minutes. I was ok with the time, planned on working while waiting. When I arrived, Greg was there and helped me, very friendly and took me right away. No wait. I started working on my computer and before I really got much done, he came back and my car was ready passed and cert. transmitted to the DMV, all less than 10 minutes. Out the door price with a $10 discount was $53. (As of Sept. 2025). Excellent service, fast service, straight forward reasonable pricing is a recipe for success. I would recommend them highly and will be back again when I need a smog. Thank you. Enjoy!

The service was extraordinarily fast and everybody had the most polished manners I've ever seen at a service location. Everyone was extremely respectful. Terrifying and intimidating experience. This was my first time going to Valvoline for an oil…read morechange, and it will definitely be my last. The employees working with me all appeared to be teenagers. When I arrived, one of the teenage employees told me to stay in my car because the oil change would only take about 15 minutes and would be more convenient for me. Then the teenager by my window asked me to open the window. He had a large screen and showed me the price: about $178 for the oil change and filter, or $78 for labor only. I had never paid this much for an oil change, but I thought maybe the convenience of staying in my car made it worthwhile. I closed the window, but shortly afterward the teenager asked me to open it again and started trying to sell me additional services. In short, he offered me three other lubrication-related services costing roughly $150 to $270 each. Meanwhile, it was getting very hot inside my car. I wanted to close the window, but he kept knocking on it and telling me about different steps of the oil change and trying to sell me more services. I couldn't comfortably run the A/C while the car was being serviced. Instead of the quick 15-minute oil change I had been told to expect, I sat in my car for about 35 minutes, sweating, smelling oil, and listening to repeated sales pitches. At one point, I wanted to get out of the car. I was about to scream. The teenager told me, "No, you stay in the car." That was the moment I became extremely upset. I felt trapped. I did not want to yell at the kid, it was not his fault, so I stayed calm, waited until they were finished, and left. For me, this was not convenient at all. It felt like a trap designed to keep me sitting there while they repeatedly tried to sell me additional services. Even if Valvoline offered me a free oil change, I would never go back.

With the way gas prices are that could almost be possible but my tank wasn't completely empty so i figured I would get the difference back like when you pre pay for gasoline. When asked if I needed a receipt I said no, big mistake. After the clerk filled the tank I put my gage on and it read as maybe 2/3 full but i've never tested the gauge at full so maybe it just reads a little off. I looked at the pump and it read 1.17 gal pumped and said ok i'll meet you inside for my change and the clerk said that propane was a $25 flat fee. I have been to this gas station before and paid per gallon not a flat fee and of course since I didn't get a receipt I cant really prove anything. Please be wary of this. I called around and propane is just under $4 a gallon and all the places I called in Simi charge you per gallon. So if the meter was right I should have only paid about $6. ***MANAGERS OF THIS STORE PLEASE REACH OUT IF I AM WRONG AND I WILL REMOVE THIS REVIEW BUT AT THE MOMENT I FEEL COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF***
