The original baked mac
Marie S.

4.5 stars Came here during their closing weekend, as I had always wanted to try this place for the "best mac n'cheese" in town. The location is in an interesting spot and parking was a little tight. I liked the ambiance of the place and open kitchen concept. Staff was helpful and I had placed an order to go that night (which took a little while). I got the regular mac n'cheese ($8.95 and figuring I could save a little bit and add extra toppings of my own later). I also got the pumpkin cobble cake ($14.95), which wasn't quite like I had seen with last year's (with the biscochito crust and the red chile whipped cream). Everything came out hot and delicious. The cake came with a side of ice cream with granola on top. The mac n'cheese while creamy and gooey (and enough for about 3 lunches), I would say it was good, but probably not my #1 choice in town. I'm glad that they are able to reopen under different terms soon.

Wings and Mac

I came in to check out the newly revamped menu and was initially seated toward the back of the restaurant. The area was pretty dark and mostly empty, so since I was dining alone, I moved to the bar instead. The waitress suggested starting with an appetizer, and I went with the Pesto Burrata ($13). After that, my eyes immediately landed on the wings and the mac & cheese, so I ordered the Game Day Combo -- 1 lb of wings with the original mac & cheese, plus fries, veggie sticks, and ranch. I asked the chef which sauce he recommended, and he suggested the honey sriracha. At $26, I was expecting excellence. Overall, the portions felt excessive. I'd much rather see smaller portions at a lower price -- less food with a stronger focus on quality and value. That said, the burrata dish was on point: quality ingredients, simply executed. There was a bit too much flatbread, but otherwise the portion was spot-on. As for the wings, everything tasted good, but the plate felt overloaded. When you already have a large serving of mac & cheese with wings, the fries feel unnecessary. The dish would have been stronger with no fries, less mac & cheese, and a lower price point -- something closer to $18. At $26, it just feels a bit high for what it is. I may come back to try other menu items and I have to say overall the quality and service were exceptional.

The green chile Mac and cheese here is really good. I placed an order finally after hearing all the hype. I'd love to come back and try some other Items soon!

Burger with jalapeno and grilled onions

Stopped in for lunch after a little walk. We were seated quickly and got waited pretty fast. My wife had the regular burger with garlic fries and I had the burger that comes with jalapeños. They were both delicious and the fries were very tasty. This will definitely be my go to spot for burgers.

Some of the best burgers in Albuquerque. Queso is okay. I feel like it's good for Albuquerque, but still has room for improvement. Service has always been really good when I've gone. They forget one thing maybe every other visit. Environment is a little dark for my taste but still nice. I also like that the ability to draw on the table.

Fantastic grilled burgers, great staff, very helpful and kind, this is a great spot for family and friends to hang out and enjoy each other's company. Small menus done right! This place has what everyone wants, drinks, pizza, tacos and burgers, along with some other great options! We were impressed with the quality of the food, I would personally consider the burgers gourmet, grilled perfection!

High Point Mac & Cheese

High point is so bomb it's incredible. I've gone too many times to count and it has never faltered. The Mac is top tier, but I gotta say they have the best Philly cheese ever. If you are a simpleton who enjoys cheese whiz, this isn't for you. This is elevated- garlicky and toasted. The other standout is the garlic fries, top notch fr. The staff is excellent, and another perk is their water/ soda cups are huge so you don't have to keep asking for refills. Mr. White you are a visionary.

Carne asada tacos with chips

In Albuquerque and I was encouaged by friends to try High Point Grill for lunch. The reviews stated it was good Italian, Cajun / Creole and sandwiches. We ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich and carne asada tacos with chips and salsa. The restaurant was fairly busy for the lunch crowd. The shrimp po-boys was packed with little room for all the ingredients and five jumbo shrimp. I would have to say it resembled more of a de- constructed sandwich than a traditional sandwich that was "dressed". It definitely could of used more sauce as it was very dry. The carne asada tacos were good but the stale chips were disappointing. The wait staff was missing in action after the meals were delivered and took 20 minutes to get us the check after she was given the credit card. I will not be returning as I found no effort to make the meal memorable. The food was adequate andservice was poor. High Point needs to focus on their food, service and taking care of the patrons that frequent their establishment.

The food was delicious with great flavor and shareable portions. The staff was friendly, though service could be a bit quicker. The family-friendly ambience was nice, but the space felt a little dark. A helpful tip: ask for condiments with your meal, otherwise you may be waiting a while

Our reservations needed at this place say like on a Thursday night or is it just wide-open? Also is…

Reservations aren't needed, but making them doesn't hurt, especially around holidays. The place isn't usually noisy or rowdy, and I think it would be a nice place for date.

Hamburgers are a once-in-a-while for me but hubby was actually craving a burger but not fast food type but also not gourmet type of burger. Something more casual. We remember this spot and our son's friend had mentioned that it was good. We didn't know what we're getting into but we decided to just try a new place. We ordered a Green Chile Jack Burger and a Bacon Cheddar Burger with fries and sweet potato fries as our sides. We were not disappointed. I was immediately impressed by the staff. you couldn't ask for better care and warmth. we participated in any activities that were offered and made new and lasting friendships along the way. thru those years there were difficult times. I guess the most difficult was the pandemic when we were limited to movement within the building but you would be amazed attn lengths the staff went to to keep us happy. delicious meals were delivered to our door ( we ordered from our menu's ). Games were played at each door if you wanted to participate and there were fun prizes. The weekly wine socials were brought to your door. Meanwhile, all the necessary health precautions were taken. The apartments were thoroughly cleaned weekly. When necessary, immunization clinics were brought to each resident and if you wanted to participate, they made it easy. Eventually that passed and life got back to normal but it's hard not to recognize the professional handling of that difficult time. The building was renovated and mad lovely for us. If anything needed to be updated, it was life moved along smoothly and I must admit, to my surprise. There were many staff changes but amazingly, the staff remained warm and caring. Deep down, I can forget that they are dealing with many different personalities and sometimes elderly people can be a tad grumpy. The loving staff simply overlooks the bad days. Food is always an issue but the menu is large with choices for everyone. If that isn't enough, there's a really great Bistro you don't want to mis. The activities are numerous and year round. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and outings take place twice a week. All you have to do is signup. I can't close this without mentioning that my husband passed away in 2022. it was a difficult time made easier by the Fairwinds staff and especially the management. Being100% deaf and disabled, my family wanted me to move to assisted living despite my reluctance. Doralei warmly helped me make that decision to move and very graciously helped me find a comfortable apartment. The move was smooth and the golden treatment given by the health and Wellness staff has been perfect so I have to admit that it was the proper move. When I need appointments, the transportation service is wonderful and I can't forget to mention the wonderful drivers. Do you see how fortunate I furl that all those years ago, we made the decision to move here it was the perfect one. You can't go wrong.

Extremely disappointing experience at Sixty Six Acres…read more We walked in and were seated immediately on the patio. I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.
