This has become one of my favorite ice cream places in Denver. It's a little cheaper than other ice cream places (2 scoops for $6 compared to $8-9 elsewhere). They have some unique and some classic flavors. My favorites are the earl grey and the salty dog chocolate, but you can always get their flight option if you're indecisive. There is a maximum of 3 samples but they may be lenient with it as long as you don't abuse the free samples. There is plenty of seating and free parking (street and lot). After getting brunch next door at Call Your Mother, we had dessert at High Point Creamery. This place reminds me a lot of Salt and Straw in Portland because of their flavors. Our daughter has an egg allergy so it's great that none of their ice creams have egg, although we are also still looking out for nuts and peanuts. Mexican Hot Chocolate ice cream tasted exactly what I thought it would with notes of cinnamon. Strawberry ice cream - I'm really not into fruit-flavored ice creams, but this was good. Definitely way better than getting strawberry ice cream from a carton at a grocery store. Great service, not too busy upon opening on a weekend. The ice cream at high point creamery was great. I was looking forward to bringing my in-laws here since they keep kosher and all the ice cream is kosher. That was until the staff member working tonight screamed at the top of their lungs to everyone inside "we are close you need to get out now!" There was about 8 of us customers inside and we were all a bit shocked and then he screamed again "you all need to leave we are closed" at the top of his lungs. We were all getting our stuff together at this point and throwing away our garbage when a patron said thank you and sorry for being there after close he responded "if you weren't in here I'd have locked the door already!" Unfortunately despite the ice cream being great, I have no desire to contribute to this individual's paycheck after their rude and aggressive nature towards their customers. When I decided to try this place, they were not in the past shape, with a dysfunctional cooler leaking water out the door, and apparently a reduced flavor selection from the remaining cooler as a result. Moreover, the flavors they had were not the ones I wanted off the menu. But I didn't have time to go roaming around looking for an ice cream shop in a better state of repair, so I gave them a shot. The upside was that I did get to try a vegan coconut-based flavor, which delivered the slightly burned taste of creme brûlée that it promised. I'm not a huge coconut person, but this one was better than most coconut creams I've had. The basil blackberry swirl delivered some intrigue from the clash. The other real thing I had against them was the no samples policy, which makes things a bit tough given their unconventional flavors. I ordered the 4 pack for my daughter's birthday (Dec 24). We live in CA and watching the owner on TAMRON HALL show and the enthusiasm, I thought she would be thrilled to have this extravagantly priced ice cream. The ice cream came in a styrofoam box and upon opening there was an empty bag marked dry ice. None in the bag. Ice cream was so squishy. It wasnt even as thick as a poorly made milkshake. I quickly put it in freezer and contacted the owner advising no dry ice to keep cold and really melted. Got nothing but "that happens" in shipping. I'm in CA they're in CO. If that is true WHY OFFER SHIPPING? I told him I have it in my freezer and hope it doesn't get ice crystals. He said ok if not to your satisfaction give us an email back. We will try and work something out. Well I didn't bother emailing back even though it was definitely affected by ice crystals. Gets that weird icey consistency. No longer creamy. Plus, We just did not like the taste of any of our four flavors choices. Maybe because of the thick ice crystals. I love getting ice cream everywhere I visit. When I saw that they have flights at high point creamery, I was sold in coming here. This one is inside Denver central market. There are plenty of other shops and restaurants in here. The line was a bit long on this Sunday afternoon, but it moved rather quickly. My friend and I split a flight (which comes with 5 flavors and a sauce). We got basil with blackberry swirl, brown sugar cinnamon,earl grey with shortbread cookies, chocolate coconut (v) and the fudge. It also came with a few piece of wafer. All the flavors were delicious. They are creamy and decadent. My least favorite is the basil blackberry swirl. It tastes like a pizza because the basil was too over powering. My favorite is the earl grey with cookies. I love the subtle of ear grey and the crunch of the cookies with each bite. The chocolate coconut was nice despite being vegan. And the fudge was gooey and warm. All in all, I love craft ice cream places like this. The person who I bought five pints from seemed annoyed that I didn't make my choices quickly (a little of sighs and curt responses when I asked questions about the flavors) and then when I asked for a bag (because I cannot grip the cup carrier she originally smashed the pints into) she threw the pints into the bag hitting the ones in the bag with the next ones. She did it so hard the lids split and I had a leaky melty mess by the time I got home. We tried the Salted caramel Tin cup whiskey with pistachio brittle Salty dog chocolate , Earl grey shortbread And Coconut creme brûlée. I wish they had their Basil and blackberry swirl, but I guess that'll have to wait for the next trip! The flight set us back about $10 but it was the best deal for the $!
