New place at uri. Decent pizza, albeit a little pricey. Friendly people. For uri students this will probably be a good bet. Fir the rest of us, there are better and worse options. Everything about it, is good, sauce, cheese, crust, but nothing to distinguish it.

Slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza. - Two pizza slices, one cheese and one pepperoni, are placed on paper plates on a metal table.

Fantastic cheesy pizza - perfectly gooey crust! Their dessert selection is impressive too. Don't miss the tiramisu!

Took over an hour for two slices of pizza and mozzarella sticks. Horrible customer service and over priced.

Escorted into the bar area, we chose a Counter style booth right next to the wood-burning stove. I found the additional warmth & cozy surroundings to be just terrific. That night, there was a jazz trio playing, and it added a real sense of flare to the place. My guest and I shared eggplant fries that were lightly coated & crisp absolutely delicious! For dinner he ordered a Caesar salad and lasagna and devoured every bit. I enjoyed the braised beef short ribs, which were tender, served with a rich velvety sauce & mashed potatoes. We added a side of roasted Brussel sprouts that were yummy! (though a bit over salted) Crispy cannolis with homemade ricotta filling were taken home to spoil our kiddos! Our waitress SUE was an attentive and thoughtful, lovely person!

I think I'm going to add it to my calamari now! The kids chicken cutlet meal with fresh cut fries were amazing! The three of us ate the fries and still took the rest to go. Chicken cutlet was thin, crispy and moist inside. We always get the same pizzas wherever we go. Naturally, it makes comparing different restaurants on a good baseline. We got a large NY style (thin crust) pepperoni with half sausage. I'm not a huge sausage fan but my boys are. However, this crumbled sausage was delicious. The pizza is put into a wood fire pizza oven, crust was perfect; thin and cooked well but not burnt. The undercarriage held its shape with a nice bite and crunch! I had to finish off the meal with a Nutella pizza and I have zero regrets. A thin pizza crust with decadent Nutella spread all over it and sprinkled with crushed hazelnuts ended the meal perfectly. Ambiance and decor is modern and beautiful, family friendly and the staff is fantastic! I can't wait to go back and try other types of pizza. They offer Neapolitan, Grandma's and NY; not to mention other foods as well. Ciao!

Love that they have several choices for pizza by the slice as we weren't looking for a whole pie and didn't need the leftovers. We took it to-go so no pictures. I had the meat lovers and it was easy to tell that they use good quality meats. It was not very greasy considering the amount of fat laden meat it had on it, which I greatly appreciated. I particularly liked the little sausages. My kid had a few slices of NY style roni and it was truly reminiscent of NY pizza. He really liked it and although just a kid, he's had many different pizzas over the years. I would 100% go back if I was ever in the area again.

The girl misheard my order, and there wasn't a problem until she could not fathom she made a mistake. Everyone who works in the industry knows, to avoid these silly mistakes you repeat the order back to the customer, something she will hopefully learn soon. Entitled attitude, front and back of house. The food belongs on a college campus, not right in town. Unseasoned frozen broccoli, frozen fried chicken. The crust is barely passable as "thin". This is insulting to NY style anything. What a waste. Better off going anywhere else, where you won't get a sesame bagel as the crust. My local supermarket, Dave's, uses superior ingredients for their pizza.

We walked in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. I love the interior of the space. The pizza oven built of pizza stones is an eyecatcher but if you look around, you'll catch all kinds of fun decor choices throughout the space Our bartender was a gem. She was busy working on side work but she always kept an ear towards us so when we were ready, so was she. A sign of a real professional. We ordered some margaritas, the calamari and a small Powerslide pizza. Before long, she was setting everything down in front of us and we dug right in I was able to sample this pizza before at our National Pizza Day event last month so I was eager to snag a slice the moment it appeared before us. Sausage, caramelized onions, garlic and goat cheese. Yes, please. The combination of toppings with their dough as a base, with the bit of char from the wood fired oven? Divine. The calamari was excellent as well, fried perfectly (and if you know anything about me, I'm a bit particular about seafood). The peppers and olives were classic, well-prepared additions to the dish. And with the drizzle of balsamic, provided the extra acidity that I love on my seafood. And WHEN (not if) you swing by, if you drink make sure you order a cocktail. I've had an espresso martini before and now this time a margarita and every time they knock it out of the park! Loads of flavor options as well so you will find something you love, guaranteed. I got there around 11am but they still had a wide selection of calzones, pastries and pizza available. The ladies working the counter were very nice and quick as well. Before long I had my pizza strip and zeppole, and was on my way. The pizza strip at first was sweet. Almost too sweet for me, but as I continued, the sweetness faded into balance with the crust and became quite enjoyable. It wasn't long before I polished it off. It is a softer strip, with a good amount of sauce on top. The zeppole was wonderful. The whipped cream was soft and pillowy inside delicate pastry. All of it was light as air and it was a struggle to stop at the hallway mark! But I had to save room for the lunch meeting so I forced myself to quit... For now! We went on a Thursday evening and street parking was easy to find. Service was great! Here is what we had: 1. Drinks: EASY TIGER- coconut rum, overproof rum, horchata, amontillado, sherry, lime, aromatic bitters. BLOOD, SWEAT, & ROSEMARY (mocktail)- blood orange, lemon, rosemary, soda water. My boyfriend had the easy tiger and found it more tropical tasting than horchata but still liked it. I had the mocktail, which was great! Refreshing drink. Just nice they offer mocktails and tasty ones too! 2. Raw bar: gotta have oysters while in the east coast right? They were from Jamestown and of course yummy. They had a mignonette which was good but since the oysters were so good not needed but a yummy addition option 3. Shared plates/appetizers: CHARRED OCTOPUS- Castlevetrano olive & cannellini bean, frisee, shaved red onion, piri piri, EVOO. This was one of my favorite appetizers. We try octopus everywhere and have had lots of overcooked ones. This was not that! It was soft, buttery and easy to cut and not rubbery. The tail was crispy and yummy. The char was perfect and flavor was on point. PAN ROASTED SUNCHOKES- herbed ricotta, hazelnut, chervil, Calabrian compound butter. What a tasty spin on the sunchokes. I love sunchokes and appreciate a great presentation and different ways to have it. 3. Entrees/Mains: BRANDT FARM 14 OZ RIBEYE- crispy potatoes, onion jam, bravas sauce, haricot vert. My least favorite dish of the night but doesn't mean I have love everything. I still appreciate a really good restaurant and concept. I know this is not a streak house so I understand not being the best steak. It was a bit of a tough steak, but the cooking temp (medium rare) was made to perfection and flavor was simple but perfect (I love love a simple steak without all the extras). The sauce was my least favorite of the dish and could definitely do without. The potatoes and veggies were good except it was somewhat less tasty with the sauce. We made our own surf and turf and had their special for the day. HALIBUT- not sure what was all in for the specifics but this was a winner. The fish was charred yet the moisture was preserved and tasty! Loved the flavoring and sauce. All mixed harmoniously. Dessert: BASQUE CHEESECAKE-fresh whipped cream, brown butter salted caramel, strawberry. We had a hard time deciding between the pistachio tiramisu and the cheesecake. I'm sure both are tasty. I like my cheesecakes more simple and asked for this without whipped cream and strawberry. The consistency of the cheesecake was great! Taste was point on. Although I don't care for caramel with it I tried the caramel and mmmmmm. Cheesecake was a great way to end. Overall fantastic experience. Our waitress was lovely. Staff was wonderful. Food was delicious. The ambiance was cozy and cute. If you are in the area recommend coming here for a nice dinner.

I am sold ... while the atmosphere wasn't my favourite, the food here is as good as any restaurant…read morein Rhode Island I've eaten in. The menu here seems very Spain and Italy centered ... maybe more so Spanish. I was thrilled to find Potatoes Bravas on the menu ... as a frequent traveler to Spain, this is one of my favourite simple dishes. This might be among my favourite versions that I've tasted, which is saying a lot! We also had the Bouilliabase ... quite a heavy dish loaded with octopus, muscles, clams, shrimp and a small piece of cod. The only complaint I've have about this is that it was an absolute salt beast ... both in taste and the fact I could not drink enough water after having this. Overall, I am not sure I'd order it again but am glad I tried it and two people could easily share this. The salad with salmon was fantastic ... a nice, thick piece of salmon cooked perfectly and the salad was also fantastic ... dressed well and very flavourful. We would order this again for sure. We also had the pizza, which was alright but we'd probably stick more towards the entrees and less towards the pizza when we come back. The basque cheesecake for dessert was tasty but way too small a piece for $12. When in San Sebastian, traditional basque cheesecake was much different tasting and a bigger portion. The wait staff and front of house was amazing. I don't think I've had a better waitress anywhere. Great with suggestions and not overbearing while being helpful. The only knock about this place is the lighting is way too bright. There isn't much atmosphere for romance ... the lights would be perfect if they were 25 - 30% dimmer. Other than that, it's very clean and fresh feeling. There is a gas fireplace, a big bar and two rooms ... one of which faces an open concept kitchen. Both are too bright ... but the room in the front with the booths would be my choice if I had to pick. Overall, this is our favourite of the Newport Restaurant Group restaurants from a food perspective. They can be hit or miss but this place is worth coming back to. Sure, Coast Guard House is right next door with water views ... but it can't come close to matching the food quality and menu variety here. I can see why it's so highly rated.
