October, 2020: Scott came to our rescue when our plans at Devil's Thumb changed due to the fires and everything shut down. He drove to my home in Golden, CO, and made us an amazing meal complete with appetizers, main course, and dessert! He brought everything needed to prepare the meal, including his own cooking knives, pans, bowls, etc. He even has dinnerware if needed. He finished the evening by cleaning everything up and I was able to enjoy the entire evening with 12 guests without having to worry about a thing. He was on time, professional, and the food was to die for! As for the budget, he works with you on a price per plate dollar amount, so you can do this many different ways to get it in your price range. Very reasonable. We had perfectly Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with toasted pumpkin seeds that everyone raved about, Spinach and Brie stuffed mushrooms that melted in your mouth, Waygu Beef Carpaccio Crostini with capers (just right), Salad with apples and fennel, and blue cheese with a pomegranate molasses dressing, sauteed Patagonian shrimp with fall vegetables that was out of this world, grilled bison steaks with red onion marmalade accompanied with fingerling potatoes that he made crispy on the outside, and everything was perfectly prepared! He timed it well so everyone could enjoy each course without feeling rushed, but not too much time in between, then finished with a dessert of homemade toasted marshmallow ice cream with pecan caramel over brown butter blondie brownies. We had arranged for Scott to prepare the dinner for our daughter's wedding in Sept. 2021, then were devastated when sadly, the venue was lost in last year's wildfires. When he agreed to hold the date for us, cook for a smaller group, and travel much further for the new location, we were beyond grateful. Gratitude turned into culinary euphoria with the meal that he prepared for the happy couple and guests. The presentation of the appetizers was beautiful as well as delicious. What an amazing dining experience! I highly recommend Hidden Fork Chef Services --Scott was the chef with the mostest!! I am following a keto diet, so he made some modifications for me. The amuse-bouche was superb--fresh, garden-grown radish with cauliflower hummus. Yum! The salad was mixed greens with a smoked blackberry and vinegar/olive oil-infused dressing with pumpkin seeds. Divine! This was followed by bison steak, steamed green beans with fresh dill and Kerrey Gold butter and smoked cherry tomatoes--sublime! We came to Colorado to watch a beautiful couple get engaged. To top off this wonderful event, we hired Hidden Fork Chef Services to make the celebration even more special. From the Black Berry Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad, to the Grilled Local Mushrooms with Corn Purée and Smoked Tomatoes, to the Grilled Bison Sirloin, and finally to top it all off a Brown Butter Blondie with Toasted Marshmallow Homemade Ice cream. We had Chef Scott come and cook for our family while visiting the Fraser/Winterpark area. Party of 10. Everything was perfect. Starting with our initial conversation about menu all the way to the end of the meal where he cleaned up!! He prepared a five course dinner in our kitchen and it was all timed perfectly according to the timeline we discussed. He uses organic ingredients, brings his own freshly grown herbs and lettuces. Chef Scott is very personable and fit in with our crew so easily. When we visit again we are definitely inviting Chef to come cook for us again!! Chef Scott came to the home that we rented in Grand Lake to cook for 13 of us celebrating my wife's 50th birthday and he was amazing! He picked out a menu for us after reaching out and asking a few questions and we were able to work with him to come up with an amazing meal! INCREDIBLE!! We asked Scott to cook for us for my sisters engagement celebration and we were beyond satisfied. His personality along with his food was more than impressive. Ok so here's the deal, Scott's food was enjoyed by five couples. Every single course was completely devoured. His food tastes like Dale Earnhardt driving his #3 lead by a flock of bald eagles. His food would best be described as the last meal for Jesus and the disciples. The desert was enough to almost satisfy my wife more than our intimate moments.
