So when the weekend took us to Granby, we decided to kick off the weekend at Granby Ranch. STAR #1 - While we chose to only play 9 holes, it is an 18 hole course. So go ahead a book what you're feeling! STAR #2 - The mountain views were wonderful! STAR #3 - The course was well maintained. STAR #4 - They do offer up a driving range to get a little warm-up in before you hit the course. Even better, the range was included in the greens fee. The only drawback was that it was a little on the pricey side at $120 for my husband and I for just 9 holes, While I'm not the strongest golfer, I still had a blast! We make our way up to Granby a few times a year, and I'll gladly make my way back to Granby Ranch when we do.

What really made this trip stand out was staying in a condo in Basecamp One. The ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient and added such an extra layer of ease and enjoyment to the whole experience. Being able to step right out and onto the mountain (and back again) made everything feel that much more relaxed and enjoyable. The resort itself has such a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere, making it perfect for families, beginners, or anyone who just wants to enjoy skiing without the pressure of more intense terrain. The slopes are wide, well-groomed, and especially friendly for first-time or casual skiers--you can really take your time and enjoy yourself. The bistro was another highlight once again--the food is excellent and far better than what you might expect from a typical ski resort. It's the perfect place to warm up and recharge. The vibe across the mountain is always a good time. There's great music playing, and you can hear the sounds of wintertime fun all around--laughter, skis carving through snow, and that lively energy that makes a day on the mountain so special. If you're not a regular skier or just want to avoid risking bodily injury on more challenging runs, Granby Ranch is absolutely the place to go. It's close to all the places to do things in the area including eating,shopping along with all of the outdoor activities. It's large,easy to navigate,has a great pool,hot tub,sauna,arcade,barbershop... you name it and there's a good chance they've got it. I wasn't a fan of the stove in the room and the large amount of dogs on the premises. I love dogs but the amount of dog poop on property as I'm trying to enjoy my coffee wasn't good. Which is sad because there are poop bags provided by the property.

However when renting clubs for $50 and paying $100 for a round of golf on a random Tuesday, especially on a very windy day, not to mention the fact that we rented three clubs and paid for 8 tee times, you would think the course would be lenient on a wind blown, lost head cover. However the course was still going to charge us an addition $40 for a standard driver head cover for one of their rented clubs. Very disappointed in the their reaction and how they handled the situation. We had to actually drive the course after to find the head cover. I would not recommend going to this course, especially since it really isn't worth $100 per round because the greens have some disease, weren't well mowed, and it hasn't rebounded from the forest fires and yet there was no appreciation towards a group spending over $1000 with them , including food, beverage and balls. You would think they would increase their Service to counteract the deficiencies with the course. Besides, none of their rentals included a sleeve of cheap balls or even a towel to wipe down clubs. I am still completely waiting for the course to charge us for returning the clubs dirty. I find the course management untrustworthy and entitled towards anyone who plays.

As a kid, I used to sell golf balls here and Mitch (the GM) would always chase me off the course in his golf cart. Mitch was relentless in his pursuit and would pocket any cash he could get off you. They had batting cages which were fun, a train that goes around the batting cages, water bumper boats that squirts water out and the water is very clean. They also had go carts that actually had pretty good speed and the track isn't too bad either. That was probably my favorite. We ride the bumper cars, and did the arcade. The only thing that wasn't working was the jumping trampoline. Other than that EVERYTHING was open. Which most places you go to almost half of the rides are down. That's not the case here. They also have a small snack shack that has some food and beverages for purchase. We will definitely be back. Had so much fun. Also the grounds were super clean and so were the restrooms. Very nice place to go with kids or adults!
