Unfortunately, Ana is one of the worst people I've ever worked with professionally. She has a…read moreterrible attitude and will lash out at you whenever things don't go perfectly her way. Working with Ana is like walking on egg shells. You never know what's going to set her off. If you send her a text and she interprets it the wrong way, she likely to immediately quit on you. This is what happened to me. Ana is a very selfish person that expects everything to go her way and on her terms. If she even perceives that things aren't going her way, she can't handle it and will overreact and make irrational decisions. The main reason Ana quit without any notice for me after using her for over two years is because I paid her $275 for not working one week for me and she didn't like me doing that. It is the craziest reason I've ever heard for quitting. I was always very nice to hear, but it is never enough with Ana. You can compliment her every week for her services, and she still isn't happy. This is because she never feels adequate enough inside. Ana has personal and mental health issues that also affect her work and get in the way of her communication and how she handles situations. It's pretty much impossible to please Ana, as she always finds a way to turn things against you, including good deeds. I wish I would have stopped using Ana sooner so I didn't have to deal with all her drama and have her quit on me without any warning. She has tried doing this to me before, but I tried appeasing her against my better judgment. In hindsight, I should have stopped working with her when she blew up on me over how she interpreted a text message in the past and threatened to quit on me. Ana is a good cook, but her personal and mental health issues, as well as her short-temper and selfish tendencies are not worth the hassle. I highly recommend never taking a chance with Ana. There are much better cooks and people to deal with than Ana.

I hired him almost immediately by way of a $250 deposit and a signed contract. We spoke multiple times prior to the party as we made a few adjustments to the menu due to additional guests. He sent me a text message the NIGHT before my party to cancel on me. He claimed that his wife was having "emergency surgery" and that he was sending his "partner" to take his place. He assured me that he had been in my city doing all of the prep work and was just now boarding a plane to go home to be with his wife. When his "partner" arrived, she informed me that no, Tim's wife was not having emergency surgery and that he had never even been in my city. Hence, he did not do the prep work he claimed to do. His "partner", obviously left in a jam by Tim skimped SO heavily on my original menu, it was appalling. My "homemade spinach fettuccine" was dried chive pasta from Trader Joe's. My "smoked gouda" and prosciutto toppings on my sliders were tiny slices of cheddar cheese, no prosciutto. My "double chocolate torte with crème fraiche" was literally a box of Trader Joe's brownies that she baked while here. All to the tune of $1056.00. He has not replied to my email detailing my concerns, so I have officially filed a complaint with Thumbtack. Stay away from this guy unless you appreciate flakiness.

The food was excellent - crowd favorites included the risotto cake appetizers, the brisket carving station (so tender!), the herb roasted potatoes, beautiful ribbon salad, and a tasty wedding cake. Savory's full service experience took a huge load off the planning! They have great relationships with other key vendors - including coordinating with the rental company on our behalf. With her copious notes from our venue walkthrough, Melissa oversaw the setup of the majority of our layout and decor and executed things beautifully.
