Chef Ellory! Where do I even begin?!…read more I have been blessed to know Ellory for several years and have had her food over and over again - I can't say enough about how amazing she is! Ellory's food is innovative and fresh, focusing on seasonal ingredients and inspired by her travel. I personally love the range of crostini she'll prepare for dinner party apps, and her pappardelle pasta with braised chicken or kale salad w/ greek yogurt sauce is heaven. Her food is healthy and makes you feel good, but if you're looking for something comforting or decadent, she can whip that up too. Versatility and creativity are definitely her strong suits. From a personal perspective, Chef Ellory's warmth and passion for food (and life!) radiates. She's magnetic, caring and a pleasure to work with. I love hosting dinner parties with Ellory in the kitchen (and by my side!) and would hire her as my personal chef in an instant if I lived in CO! She never disappoints.

She just traveled around the world for over a year and I got to try her newly inspired cuisine and I could taste how her breadth of flavors and recipes have developed. I recommend Ellory if you want her to be your personal chef, wow your coworkers for lunch or inspire your guests at a dinner party. And plus you'll enjoy her wonderful easy going while get it done attitude. San Francisco loves Ellory!

She arrived with a smile on her face, the food, and the setup. Being 9 women cousins meant a lot of talking and laughing. Jennifer jumped right in. She served us downstairs with the appetizers while we played a game and then called us up to the dining room when the dinner was ready to eat. We ordered our meal as a buffet. She had the table set and we just helped ourselves. The salmon was like none other.... out of the 9 of us, I am the only one who does not eat salmon. I ate the whole salmon fillet. I do not know what she did but every time I order salmon I will be comparing it to Jennifers'. The dinner was spectacular but the dessert was one I am still thinking about. Crepes with mascarpone cheese, poached pear with caramel drizzle. It was truly a wonderful experience and a dinner we will never forget. This was my first experience with a personal chef. Jennifer helped me through the whole process, from making up the menu, payment, no worry set up, and leaving the kitchen spotless. I can't imagine another chef doing anything more than Jennifer. Thank you for a vacation to remember. Carol Glab

Ana started cooking in our home in May of 2021. It felt so much safer to have a vaccinated chef in…read moreour kitchen rather than go out to dinner. Her food was so good, we didn't even miss eating out. Ana cooked for our family of four for about 6 weeks, and the only reason she stopped was because she had to leave town. We would have kept her coming every week if we could! Anna is just amazing. The food she makes is DELICIOUS. She cooks with fresh ingredients, tries to keep grocery costs down by shopping sales, cooks for a variety of palates, deconstructs meals to appease young kids, and leaves the kitchen cleaner than when she arrived. She's personable, reliable, communicative, and trustworthy. When we entertained, we served meals Ana made to our family and friends. Every single time people were blown away. Also, I recommended her to families in our area and without an exception, everyone was satisfied. Coming home to a fantastic cooked meal after a long day really can't be beat. Just call her today. Your future-self will thank you!

Unfortunately, Ana is one of the worst people I've ever worked with professionally. She has a…read moreterrible attitude and will lash out at you whenever things don't go perfectly her way. Working with Ana is like walking on egg shells. You never know what's going to set her off. If you send her a text and she interprets it the wrong way, she likely to immediately quit on you. This is what happened to me. Ana is a very selfish person that expects everything to go her way and on her terms. If she even perceives that things aren't going her way, she can't handle it and will overreact and make irrational decisions. The main reason Ana quit without any notice for me after using her for over two years is because I paid her $275 for not working one week for me and she didn't like me doing that. It is the craziest reason I've ever heard for quitting. I was always very nice to hear, but it is never enough with Ana. You can compliment her every week for her services, and she still isn't happy. This is because she never feels adequate enough inside. Ana has personal and mental health issues that also affect her work and get in the way of her communication and how she handles situations. It's pretty much impossible to please Ana, as she always finds a way to turn things against you, including good deeds. I wish I would have stopped using Ana sooner so I didn't have to deal with all her drama and have her quit on me without any warning. She has tried doing this to me before, but I tried appeasing her against my better judgment. In hindsight, I should have stopped working with her when she blew up on me over how she interpreted a text message in the past and threatened to quit on me. Ana is a good cook, but her personal and mental health issues, as well as her short-temper and selfish tendencies are not worth the hassle. I highly recommend never taking a chance with Ana. There are much better cooks and people to deal with than Ana.

I hired Tim 3 months prior to a 7-Deadly Sins party that I was throwing. He seemed so together and…read morethe sample menu he sent me was amazing! I hired him almost immediately by way of a $250 deposit and a signed contract. We spoke multiple times prior to the party as we made a few adjustments to the menu due to additional guests. He sent me a text message the NIGHT before my party to cancel on me. He claimed that his wife was having "emergency surgery" and that he was sending his "partner" to take his place. He assured me that he had been in my city doing all of the prep work and was just now boarding a plane to go home to be with his wife. When his "partner" arrived, she informed me that no, Tim's wife was not having emergency surgery and that he had never even been in my city. Hence, he did not do the prep work he claimed to do. His "partner", obviously left in a jam by Tim skimped SO heavily on my original menu, it was appalling. My "homemade spinach fettuccine" was dried chive pasta from Trader Joe's. My "smoked gouda" and prosciutto toppings on my sliders were tiny slices of cheddar cheese, no prosciutto. My "double chocolate torte with crème fraiche" was literally a box of Trader Joe's brownies that she baked while here. All to the tune of $1056.00. He has not replied to my email detailing my concerns, so I have officially filed a complaint with Thumbtack. Stay away from this guy unless you appreciate flakiness.
