Ana's typical afternoon cooking

Ana has been making delicious and healthy meals for our family for nearly a year. She is easy to work with and everything she cooks has amazing flavor! She works with us to create meals everyone in the family will enjoy. Each time she cooks, she leaves a spotless kitchen and a table full of food we can enjoy for days. Highly recommend!!

seasonal cara cara and blood orange salad with red onions, watercress, olive oil, freshly ground black pepper and good quality olives.

Ana review Ana cooked a vegetarian meal for 15 people for my birthday party. Ana was flexible in working with me on recipes I liked and making them come to life. She was able to create a spread in 4-5 hours of delicious vegetarian dishes. From the plating to the taste, all the guests could not stop talking about how excellent the meal was! On top of that, Ana is so warm, easy and wonderful to work. I would hire Ana again to cook for any future event, big or small!

Ana made a delicious meal for my friends and I during our girl's getaway weekend. She was easy to communicate with, had great suggestions for our menu, and everything she made was delicious. Everyone was raving about each dish that came out and she prepared enough for us to have leftovers for the rest of our weekend. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again and suggest anyone in need of a chef for a private event to do the same.

Ana made a beautiful and delicious dinner for my cousin's bachelorette party at our Airbnb and every was perfect. She was so good communicating with me, providing me with many options and ideas. She was completely flexible with anything we needed whether it was having enough cooking supplies at the Airbnb or providing us with simple supplies we would need afterwards for leftovers. There was great variety in the dishes, we opted for a tapas style dinner. We had more than enough food, that's for sure. Her attention to detail and the presentation of it all was so special and it was a pleasure working with her. Don't think twice about hiring her!

Ana prepared a meal for about 20 of us including toddlers and did an amazing job incorporating only fresh, healthy ingredients in a way that was spectacular. We really enjoyed her energy as she worked her way around the kitchen and loved how conscientious she was with her ingredients and flavor combinations. Ana made everything easy, from discussing menu options, creating specialty foods to accommodate diets and allergies, and to make sure there are plenty of leftovers for us to feast on the next day. We were all really impressed with not only how nutritious everything was but also delicious! Excited to have her over again soon!

The spread - baked chicken, sweet potato/quinoa/lentil patties, miso glazed salmon, roasted beets, apple, pomegranate salad, farro etc!

TBD Foods - Guests mistakenly chomp the birthday cake! Chef Terrence saves us as we sing Happy Birthday along side his delightful 'reconstruction!'

A seafood boil, with added clams & lobster, was the chosen hit for the birthday guy! Holly & Chef Terrence were very accommodating with special requests. (NOTE: adding lobsters -- may want to request TBD to pre-cut tails and mallet-crush claws for easier eating.) Guests mistakenly ate a special brownie-stacked birthday cake before the presentation, but Chef Terrence jumped in, salvaged, and created a 'deconstructed' cake with candles that served and entertained us well! Big thanks to Holly & Chef Terrence, owners of TBD, and event staff. You're wonderful small business purveyors who work hard and deliver a memorable culinary experience. Continued success!

TLDR: Unprofessional, not very gracious with mistakes and disorganized in the proposal process…read more I reached out to TBD Foods in the last week of September 2025 for a wedding in Denver in August 2026 after working with him in 2018. I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

First of all, the menu is exceptional because these are authentic Italian dishes with fresh ingredients. You can cook as much as you like or you can stand back and watch; it's all very hands-on or hands-free depending on your preference. Meantime you mix and mingle and drink wine and sample all the different bottles that everyone has brought, or sip on the wines that Valerio has chosen for the specific event. Meeting everyone and talking about a common shared passion is a beautiful way to spend the evening! On the most recent event that I attended we brought a bottle of wine and our own glasses and sampled from about four different wines. It was a great way to try a lot of different wines that I wouldn't normally buy, to see how all of them taste paired with that evening's menu. Seem to be a very lively crew of regulars at these events who are very happy to bring you into their world of fine food, wine and Bon Italia! ...Highly encourage everyone to try one of these events and I'm sure you'll come back for more!

The experience from start to finish was excellent, and I cannot recommend them enough. Our group was a bit complicated with dietary restrictions, including shellfish allergy, gluten-free, vegan, no red meat, and no pork. Chef Rich worked with my husband and me on the menu over a few phone calls to make sure we could accommodate all our guests. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt included in the experience with thoughtful substitutions based on each person's dietary need! At his creative suggestion, Chef Rich brought an additional assistant/bartender to create a "cocktail hour" for us. The bartender crafted a signature drink that all could enjoy and made a selection of cocktails based on our group's preference. The team was friendly, professional, and clearly cared about providing an outstanding experience. We are so thankful for them and we were all so impressed. Hire them, you will not regret it. Every outside door had to be opened for 2-hours to clear out the smell of burnt fat, and the smell remained into the evening. The meat in the meals was charred on the outside and had to be thrown out. The FULL dishwasher was NOT started and a memento was left in the sink (pic attached) to remember all the charred meat that was packaged into our meals. My number one tip for others, NEVER accept a meal without checking it first. If we were served this food at a restaurant, I would have sent it back instantly. Also, if your whole house fills with thick smoke, the food is probably going in the trash can. Honestly, the meat should have been thrown out or repurchased and remade rather than trying to pass it off as "seared".

However, what a treat it was. Chef Alex was very friendly, and he adapted well to our kitchen area. We started with making a bolognese. Once that was in the oven, we made ricotta! It tasted amazing. I will be making it again. We roasted tomatoes and pancetta and enjoyed a delicious bruschetta with an arugula salad and a homemade vinaigrette. This was followed by making our own pasta, cooking it, and smothering it with the bolognese. For dessert, we enjoyed a caramel custard that tasted like werther's caramels. The whole menu is Chef Alex's own creation. This was a meal we would order at a nice restaurant. Very delicious and now we can make it at home for ourselves. I also want to add that my 9 year old granddaughter joined in on the fun. Chef Alex was very patient with her and took extra time to explain the process with her. I didn't expect her to eat much of the meal, but she ate some of all of it, including the arugula salad. Overall, we were very pleased and would do it again thanks to Chef Alex.

I also appreciate that he gave me a full credit for what I had spent on the class to be able to try them again with another class. I am very pleased with this solution, and can only add that I suggest they prioritize training their customer service team to be more solutions oriented in the future, and to avoid simply not responding to their customers. This solution is what I was hoping for the whole time, just had to wait two months to get it. ------------------------- This service is a joke. You are better off booking with the venue hosting the cooking classes directly. I had purchased this class as a Christmas present for my partner and I. I chose an "Exciting Spanish Meal" after reviewing all of the options available. CozyMeal confirmed details numerous times before the class. When we arrived, we weren't cooking the meal that I had booked, it was actually a French meal (all of the components I had already cooked myself numerous times so this wasn't much of a class for me). I let the chef know we had signed up for a different class and he said it must be a glitch with the CozyMeal system, as that venue had the French class booked that night for months prior. I contacted CozyMeal customer service the next day and they said they were escalating my issue, whatever that means. I was shuffled around between three different customer service members, all saying they were waiting for an update. I didn't hear back for two weeks so I inquired again if there were any updates, they said they were still waiting. I contacted twice more for follow up after that, one a week after, one three weeks after, and still to this day have not received another email or any communication or "updates" from CozyMeal. My class was January 12th and it is now March 27th and I have not received any further communication from them. These classes are not cheap, I spent $89 per person for a class I did not sign up for, that was of no value to me at all. That is why I said book with the venue directly instead of CozyMeal, at least you will have peace of mind of where your money is getting spent, and won't get ignored by customer service after spending $180 on a class you have no idea if you will actually get to take.
