I hired Six Star Chef to surprise my parents with a 40th anniversary dinner, and I could not have been happier with the experience. From start to finish, Chef Pukar was incredible. He arrived right on time, brought beautiful tableware and decor to make the evening feel extra special, and even offered me a sample of the food beforehand. Let me tell you, it was like finding Jesus. Absolutely mind-blowing. Every dish looked stunning and tasted even better. Chef Pukar is wildly talented and has a true gift for creating food that feels both elevated and heartfelt. If you're celebrating a milestone or just want to treat yourself and your loved ones, don't hesitate for a second. This is the chef you want.

Pukar was a diamond in the rough that I found through the Denver Foodies FB group. I was that crazy person who needed catering for the weekend and he was able to squeeze me in! With only a few short days notice he was able to accommodate my request for a Nepal themed meal, did the drop off and set up at my house, a huge burden off my back since I was hosting a large party. His prices are reasonable, and the food was amazing! I cannot recommend him enough. Whether you're looking for an easy buffet style drop off, or a fully catered event with service, Pukar is an honest and creative chef who can cater to whatever needs or flavors you're looking for for your next party. He came up with an amazing creative menu, even when I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. If you're looking to support a local entrepreneur, I would highly recommend you check out Six Star Chef and what he's capable of!

We were in Denver for a birthday celebration. 1 week beforehand, I saw his Tik Tok post & was impressed. Very professional from my reaching out to him, planning a menu in our budget, showing up on time & the food did not disappoint. I highly recommend if you are in the Denver, CO area.

Chef Pukar went above and beyond to create a delicious elevated menu for my daughter's graduation dinner. The flavors and presentation were amazing. Our guests loved every dish and most importantly our celebrated daughter. I wish he lived near us so I could hire him to cater every one of our special events. Locals need to take advantage of having such a talented private chef in their area.

This whole set up and food was absolutely amazing hands down. This was a wedding dinner at home for my daughter and son in law. I was already full but the food was all so good kept eating. I had the chicken omg so good. They even made my grandson his own pizza and fries. He loved it! Would totally recommend.

Unfortunately, Ana is one of the worst people I've ever worked with professionally. She has a…read moreterrible attitude and will lash out at you whenever things don't go perfectly her way. Working with Ana is like walking on egg shells. You never know what's going to set her off. If you send her a text and she interprets it the wrong way, she likely to immediately quit on you. This is what happened to me. Ana is a very selfish person that expects everything to go her way and on her terms. If she even perceives that things aren't going her way, she can't handle it and will overreact and make irrational decisions. The main reason Ana quit without any notice for me after using her for over two years is because I paid her $275 for not working one week for me and she didn't like me doing that. It is the craziest reason I've ever heard for quitting. I was always very nice to hear, but it is never enough with Ana. You can compliment her every week for her services, and she still isn't happy. This is because she never feels adequate enough inside. Ana has personal and mental health issues that also affect her work and get in the way of her communication and how she handles situations. It's pretty much impossible to please Ana, as she always finds a way to turn things against you, including good deeds. I wish I would have stopped using Ana sooner so I didn't have to deal with all her drama and have her quit on me without any warning. She has tried doing this to me before, but I tried appeasing her against my better judgment. In hindsight, I should have stopped working with her when she blew up on me over how she interpreted a text message in the past and threatened to quit on me. Ana is a good cook, but her personal and mental health issues, as well as her short-temper and selfish tendencies are not worth the hassle. I highly recommend never taking a chance with Ana. There are much better cooks and people to deal with than Ana.

I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

She remained flexible as the attendance list continued to grow. We decided to do the event at my home instead of a venue and she was willing to move the plan. On the day of the event she showed up on time, set up quickly, and continued to monitor the table throughout the event so I could attend to guests. She and her assistant even cut and circulated the crowd with the cake after the book launch program ended. The food received rave reviews, everything was beautifully laid out, my kitchen was left spotless, and she even gave leftovers to guests, while carefully packaging some for me, since I'd had no time to eat. She is reasonably priced, transparent in her charges, and truly loves what she does. The day she did the shopping and prep she called me, excited at little "finds" that she likes to include in her menu. She has a true passion for catering, as I do for writing. If you're planning a special occasion whether it be a birthday, anniversary, business conference or…read morejust a special get together with friends from out of town an often overlooked option for the age old question of "what's for dinner?" Is to hire a personal chef. Most Restaurants are nice but their menus are generalized and shaped to be high profit tearing and appease the most palettes. Fine dining establishments offer a more refined menu but often times you're eating (and paying) for what the talented chef in back wants to cook for you and what he/she wants to prepare for you, which sometimes can be food on a dare. The beauty of hiring a personal chef though is if you find one with the right outlook on food, passion for excellence, and most importantly an open mindfulness/approachability to suggestion and preference. You can essentially sit down with him and depending on how thorough you want to get, effectively contour and plan out an entire dinner service with care and attention to dislikes of ingredients and customization of dishes to best fit your needs. Always research your potential personal chefs as well because it will help you to chart where their flavor profile stems from. We research Chef Shedlin and found he spent several years southeast working under world renown and celebrity chef Tom Colicchio and more local as head chef at 240 Union and Randolph's in the Warwick Hotel in downtown Denver. I had previously eaten at both establishments numerous times before and decided to have him cater a special get together of our of town friends and family. Jay was efficient and professional, I met with him and discussed our preferences briefly on types of dishes we liked enjoyed and the flavor profile I was trying for the evening then turned over all creative control to him and let him go roll with it. I couldn't be happier with the results and how things unfolded that night. His prices were fair and service were top notch.
