The meat, seafood, and cheeses were of the highest quality and so fresh tasting. Cooking it as a group is such a fun and unique experience; each person can cook it exactly how they like it. All the mouthwatering sauces were the cherry on top. Speaking of cherries, the s'mores dessert was a perfectly sweet ending to the night. Alex and Lindsey were professionals and extra warm and friendly, it felt like your closest friends were preparing the food for you. And they do the dishes too! We will without a doubt be repeat customers in the future. You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not try this out!

While the service and staff was courteous and professional, the quantity of the food was very far below our expectations. We had agreed upon a menu consisting of three appetizers and two stations, yet on the day of the event we were served five appetizers instead. This created an extremely embarrassing situation for us as hosts, as the food ran out far too quickly and guests left unsatisfied. Given the cost, the reputation of the company, and the careful planning that went into our event, this outcome was deeply disappointing. We definitely do not recommend this caterer based on our experience.

All of our guests were from out of town, and many were arriving the day of the welcome reception. Therefore, we carefully planned the reception to assure that our guests were well taken care of and more importantly well fed. Despite careful planning over several conversations/meetings with Red Maple Catering, we were left very dissatisfied with this caterer's end product. The quantity of food provided by Red Maple given the rather high cost of the catering was nowhere near our expectations. As one of the event hosts, I was only able to try 2 different appetizers (1 piece of each) the entire evening. Many of our guests subsequently told us they had to leave the reception early "to eat" and we ended up having to order multiple boxes of pizza for those guests that were able to stay at the reception. Needless to say, this was extremely embarrassing for us and the other reception event hosts. Again, given the rather high cost of the catered event (even for Beaver Creek) we definitely did not get our money's worth at all. Overall, our experience was extremely disappointing, and we would not recommend this caterer to anyone looking to host an event.

As a foodservice consultant, I have to admit being a little concerned about what to expect from this dad-hired catering company -- especially when I knew nothing about them. Catering experiences can vary greatly. What we experienced, from Adam Weinberger and his Double Diamond crew, were three great nights of well-prepared foods, served at the right termperature, plated thoughtfully, timed perfectly for the pace of each evening - and then cleaned up even to the extent of sanitizing our counters. Owner/Chef Adam's passion for what they do comes through in the variety of foods they prepared -- and in his and his fiance's (darn, I forgot her name) ability to work in the background of our family gathering, preparing menu items that demonstrated a real foodie focus. From the appetizers to the desserts -- wow...simply well done. High marks to the Double Diamond team. Three excellent dinners. Variety and service. Everything good. Would be completely comfortable working with this group, again.

We looked forward to their mouth watering breakfast spreads which covered home made breads, made to order eggs/ omelettes, roasted potatoes, quiches, fresh fruit, and sausage. For lunch they prepared fresh chicken salad and vegetarian wraps daily which were tasty, hearty, and packed a punch of energy to help us through the Colorado altitude. Their appetizers were outstanding, we loved their raspberry baked Brie bites, chicken satay, and vegetarian spring rolls. At the wedding they prepared a delectable filet mignon with fig glaze. Despite the daily mouthwatering food, the staff went above and beyond to make sure every guest was satisfied and well fed. The staff was friendly, engaging, and happy to share their recipes with us. Visiting from out of state, we are disappointed that we cannot use Vail Catering Concepts for our functions out east. We cannot recommend Vail Catering Concepts enough... anyone out in the Vail area would be mistaken not to hire them for their event.
