My first ever poke bowl, did not disappoint. A lot to eat in one sitting and I think you will have leftovers like I did.

Hibatchi-San on Camp Pendleton Marine base-yum -Poke bowls :) healthier option than a cheeseburger and fries. Small or Large size small is actually a good size portion. Also reasonably priced. Great location /Commissary side by the ITT Leisure &Travel ticket place. Friendly customer service and order line moves pretty quickly. Plenty of seating &clean. 5stars!

Spicy salmon, spicy crab, and spicy tuna with seaweed and spicy mayo. Good eats?

FOOD was delicious, tonight as always. We were here at bout 8 pm. The sushi rice mixed with Poki, teriyaki chicken, and crab meat....theres just something special about this combination that is so flattering to the tastebuds. I added cucumber and fried onions and WOW! SERVICE Tonight we were greeted by the Hispanic manager who took really good care of us. We didn't feel rushed at all. Sometimes there's so much to choose from. The gal from Micronesia, was a delight to chat with. She laughs at everything. We love her. AMBIANCE We are retired and seldom in a hurry. We got caught up watching Biden and Harris on the news. It's clean in the diner and quiet. The Olympics was silently playing on another TV All in all, we love this place. $27 for 2 regular bowls that was very very filling. That's about the price of McDonald's when we go, so go here and get good healthier, food. 5 STARS FOR HIBACHI SAN!

Love this spot! The portions, fresh food is well worth the affordable price. So quick and easy in and out, lots of parking. Always clean inside and out. Staff are friendly and welcoming! Must have base access

White rice with beef, chicken, and potstickers. Finish it off with a large lemonade.

ALL AREAS ARE REVIEWED 1-5, 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. Parking-lots of shared lot parking, both directly out front and in the exchange and commissary parking lot. Seating-5-while there is it an over abundance of searing, there is always an available place to sit. Wait staff-5-the. Punter staff is helpful and polite. Speed of Service-5-your meal is prepared and you pick your protein, rice, veggies, and sauce. Food-3-this has always been my go to when I am by the beach, unfortunately the normally awesome chicken was not awesome. It seemed that my chicken was more fat than meat. The beef was so-so as well, but the pot stickers are always great. Always get extra teriyaki sauce!! Ambiance-4-Nothing special, but there are two large tv's on the wall for news as well as available bathrooms. Price-4-Better than average, and it's a good sized meal. Overall-4-Really like the food here, just wish that the chicken had been better. Shout out-Boba!

I rarely eat Japanese food so I may not be the best judge of their food. Maybe this is highly influenced by California tastes. I found the food very tasty and the portions were large enough for me. I was there at lunchtime and there were several Marines dining there so the portions must be large enough for them. Many were there to pick up orders and left with 5 or 6 takeout orders. The eating area is clean, well organized & comfortable. I highly recommend this place for lunch.

We were looking at food options on the way to the field for after the game and sort of laughed as we passed a sushi place in a strip mall in a seemingly out of the way location. My son heard us mention sushi and perked right up, but we told him not likely around here. Just for fun, we Googled it and then read the reviews and were taken aback at the fantastic reviews. Son plays an amazing game, they win! Grammie wants to take us to lunch so we give her the address. She gets there before us and we all sort of look at one another and say let's give it a try. OMG.....Kyodai 23 is now one of my Top 3 favorite sushi locations EVER!!! The sushi was so fresh, flavorful, melt in your mouth amazing! I'm writing this review two months after we dined, so I don't remember the names of any of the dishes, but I added pics so you can see what we had. It was so good, we actually doubled up on a couple of dishes. We left full and satisfied. Service was very prompt and friendly. The restaurant was clean and nicely appointed. The prices were more than reasonable...especially for that quality of sushi. As much as I don't want to drive 2.5 hours for a single soccer game, I'll be wishing for many more games in Oceanside! If you're looking for amazing sushi, give this place a try!!!

The space was clean with an easygoing atmosphere that worked well for families and adults who know good sushi. The staff ran the place with real intention. Every interaction felt genuine. They were attentive without hovering, and they handled our daughter with patience that many restaurants never pull off during a busy service. The pacing of the meal caught me off guard in the best way. This was the fastest service I have ever experienced at a sushi spot, and we go out for sushi often. Speed didn't come at the expense of quality. The fish was crisp and fresh, and every roll had its own well thought out flavor profile. The variety here sets them apart. I enjoyed everything we ordered, but the Yesterday Roll and the Honey Roll were the standouts. Both were balanced, creative, and worth returning for. The kids menu was a smart touch. Reasonable price, good portions, and actual options instead of an afterthought. Our daughter devoured the chicken teriyaki and tried her first sushi with a California roll. She was all in. Hooked on Sushi earned a repeat visit from us without hesitation. This is the kind of place that handles the basics well and raises the bar on the rest.

AYCE sorta disappeared during the pandemic, and I'm so happy that the place to bring it back to Oceanside also has some of the highest quality sushi I've had in my life. I've tried the regular and the omakase menu and both are excellent. I didn't even understand the hype around some fish like yellowtail until trying it here. I also brought one of my friends who is from Japan and she was over the top saying this place is legit. She kept saying how hard it is to find good Uni without going to Los Angeles or beyond, and that this place nailed it. Important note. At least when I went, they did have a policy that you can only order two items at a time. This is fine if you're getting rolls or other substantial items. But if you're focusing on things like nigiri, that can really slow down your eating. So in that case I recommend that you have your next order ready to place at the time they bring out your food...as opposed to waiting until you're done eating each order before ordering the next round.

The pork too surprised me as my family raised pigs as a kid and I don't usually eat but the pork dish- with pigs that were raised with special diet and spa-like treatment/ well... the stories added to the dish. Things like pine were unexpected delights. The drinks were all amazing and we tried mixed drinks, sake, and something I rarely see and is worth noting- great mocktails. The service was outstanding and everyone was friendly, polite, knew their job, and quietly was there between each course with fresh silverware. All was completed with a sense of effortlessness. My daughter mentioned to her dad she was waiting on a drink and the manager heard and without hesitation said it was on the way/ and on the house. We chuckled as the bill of course was more than we had ever spent on a single meal, but enjoyed every minute. What struck me about ambiance is we felt as if we were the only ones there although I saw several tables on other side of restaurant.
