Ordered the Poke bowl and grabbed a Taro Milk drink prepackaged without ice and while waiting the menu called me to sit and enjoy an imperial roll and y'all that thang was everything, banging. . Flavor was everything. Gave me a moment to slow down on travel for a moment. I haven't eaten the Poke bowl yet, my original plans have changed and it will now go to Detroit, maybe I still have an hour. The service was right on point. The waiter stopped multiple times and got a kick out of my wasabi response. The place is clean and trendy too. Thank me personally if you discover tastebud heaven in BWI concourse A at Gachi House

Yelp Review 2026 #185:…read more I normally wouldn't trust airport sushi unless I'm in Japan. But I really wanted sushi after eating all sorts of Jamaican food during my vacation. BWI has two Gachi locations: one near B5, and one near A8. This one is near A8. After a terrible experience at another airport restaurant, I decided to grab food from here. At first, I wasn't sure if I went to the sit down restaurant or the grab and go. Both locations have tables and chairs and near other eateries. They both have grab and go food. So, at first, I grabbed two trays of sushi. As I was about to pay, I noticed a menu in front of the cashier so, I had to ask if they had actual fresh made-to-order sushi. And they did and I was told to grab a table and somebody will take my order. I put the sushi trays back. There's only one server and she was hiding behind the sushi counter. She seemed really shy. I waited patiently for her to take my order, give me water, etc. I only had 40 minutes left on my 2-hour layover and I still had to make it to the B gates to board. Sake Oshi Sushi: Pressed sushi with torched salmon, miso sauce, sushi rice, pickled ginger, jalapeno, and tempura crunch. The layer of rice is too thick. I had to eat the fish on top and skip the rice on a few pieces because it was just too much. This was on the sweet side and I'm not a fan of sweet sushi. The jalapeño slices still had seeds. 2.5/5 Salmon Nigiri: The quality of the fish was surprisingly good. The rice was compact and stayed intact. It was time to pay and the server was nowhere to be found and I had to leave. So, I just paid at the counter.

First time at this Kajiken location, but not my first time having Kajiken!…read more Food: We ordered the Homura abura soba, Spicy Tonkotsu ramen, Karaage Curry Don, and Gyoza. The Homura was delicious and full of flavor, and the Spicy Tonkotsu was rich, savory, and really satisfying. The Karaage Curry Don was also tasty, but I really wish it came with more curry. The curry-to-rice ratio was a little disappointing because there was so much rice compared to the amount of curry. The gyoza was a solid addition and went well with everything. Service: The service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. Ambiance: The restaurant had a casual, comfortable atmosphere and was a nice spot for a relaxed meal. Overall, everything was delicious and I'd definitely come back to this location again!

The roasted beef was so super tender, very creamy, and perfectly tangy from the vinegar. I personally would like to have it spicy but didn't order any extra toppings, but definitely a recommendation if you like your food spicy. The chicken curry was also delicious and had the typical Japanese curry flavors. I liked how the chicken wasn't breaded as well. The noodles have the perfect chewy texture as well. Service was superb. Our waitress came by multiple times asking how we were doing and filling our waters. Another waiter came by and gave us napkins unprompted and he wasn't even our server. Interior is super cozy and felt like a Japanese stall on the streets of Japan.

You can find traditional rolls, chef's choice combo meals, and more Americanized dishes - fried or cooked rolls that better suit palettes that shy away from raw options. Bring the kiddos! I was surprised to find this little gem so close to my home. That it's located in a shopping center shared with best buy and home goods shouldn't deter you. Even at this location it had a steady turn of customers during my short meal. This place is well worth your patronage. If you visit, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I will be back and often!

I took my eight year old granddaughter and it turns out this is her favorite place to eat. She had miso soup, fired dumplings and I think the cooked California roll (it had shrimp in it), she washed it all down with tropical bubble tea. I had the creamy crunch crab roll tasty and filling, avocado salad beautiful presentation, and the best sweet and sour soup I have ever had! we both shared and order of honey wings veryyyyy good!. I did not think about it until after the meal was over to ask it they except tap? (Thank goodness they did). The place is very roomy, it wasn't crowded at all (keep in mind it was a Monday evening). My granddaughter made sure she ordered mochi for dessert , I'd never had it so my granddaughter was nice enough to let me try hers it was refreshing and nice:). I must say it was kind of pricy, however they do have an all you can it menu and a lunch time menu that will help you stay withing a reasonable budget. I do want to say that the food is as tasty to the palate as it is pleasing to the eye. Until next yelp, VJ
