    3 meat hibachi meal.
    Barrett F.

Staff was very kind and gracious when I entered the store. There is very limited seating therefore truly a takeout restaurant. Woman at counter explained the menu today. I order the hibachi Buddha with all 3 meats and a chicken yak. The hibachi was delicious with good flavors. My only issue was only getting 3 shrimp for the price but they were really delicious . The chicken yak was my only disappointment because I am used to yak having lots of broth and this had very little at the bottom and the noodles were slightly overcooked. The flavor of the brother was great! I'd would definitely go back and continue to try other items. I wish them the best.

Yesterday was my first visit to Hibachi Buddha and I ordered two veggie egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, beef lo mein, and general tso's chicken. I knew from the moment my bag of food was handed to me I was in for a treat because it smelled AMAZING! All the proteins were high quality and cooked perfectly. I usually won't order General Tso's chicken and even some beef dishes at many takeout Americanized Chinese/hibachi places because the meat is often overly breaded, dry, with low quality pieces of meat. The quality of this general tso chicken was the best I've ever had. You must use the sauces!! The yum yum sauce & soy ginger sauce are best paired together on your meal. And they're not spicy for anyone who is trying to avoid heat. Just full of flavor! The veggies in the egg roll were so fresh and included broccoli which was a nice surprise. Took about 25 minutes - everything is made fresh to order and you can absolutely tell the difference. Take out only - there are three small tables inside you can sit and wait for your order. They also sell a variety of soft drinks. I can't wait to return and continue to support this business

From the moment you walk in your welcomed with vibrant happy colors and the husband and wife team that make this place stand out. Food was very yummy and the smell in my car driving home made my mouth water. The egg rolls are amazing and the dipping sauces are yummy. I had beef and broccoli with fried rice portion was huge and yummy. Will be going back for sure.

Chicken lo mein, and beef and broccoli with fried rice. Not picture, shrimp eggroll, which was amazing.

Chicken lo mein, and beef and broccoli with fried rice. Not picture, shrimp eggroll, which was superior to all other eggrolls ive had on earth. The eggroll is worth the trip alone. Lo mein and fried rice were very good, especially with the included sauces. The beef and chicken were done perfectly. Dude in the back was crushing it and lady in the front was polite and welcoming. Please try this out!

If you are expecting deeply authentic Japanese cuisine, you will be disappointed, this is just good, fresh Asian-inspired food with good side portions and solid meats and seafood. Better preparation than your average Chinese place, even if it isn't your typical Chinese restaurant flavor. Prices are above normal, but is on par with what you get, most people aren't finishing a whole dish. Egg rolls are heavenly. Take out only.

This is my pork egg roll & the chicken fried rice. The yum yum sauce & ginger soy sauce are outstanding!

The fresh catch meal included a simple house salad, and it took 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. Shortly after the salad arrived, our meals came out, and they were lukewarm. I had the grilled mahi mahi with lemon dill butter over some roasted fingerling potatoes and corn. While the fish itself was a nice piece and well prepared, its not-quite-warm temperature made it less appetizing to eat. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. The restaurant's dining room was comfortable, and the bar area looked vibrant. Hopefully they are still breaking in their new facility, as we liked dining with them in their previous location.

We went on a Sunday afternoon at 3 PM and were promptly seated. The atmosphere was fine, pretty open and unexceptional, but modern and new. Big screen in front of us playing the Sunday football game. Server was quick to get drink orders in, 12 oz. Commonwealth Modern 'Smores stout for $8 and my wife got a $16 Peppermint Espresso Martini. I appreciated the nice Commonwealth stout and the price was fine. The Peppermint Espresso martini was mediocre and very overpriced considering that. Our food took a long time. Like 3 apologies from the server long. There were 2 parties of like 10 that were in process when we sat so I get it. But I do feel like something should be given when it's 45 minutes plus on food. Anyway, on to the food.... My kid is not much of an eater and they did not have any type of kid menu. Ended up with a soft pretzel for $13. Add cheese fondue and it's $16. It was very big and delicious.... At $16 it's hard to be excited about it though. The cheese fondue definitely made the pretzel. I was not overly hungry and got She crab soup $8.50 for the cup and a Caesar salad $5. The soup was good, they add the crab on top so you can see they give you about half a cup and for the price it was good. Definitely not the best she crab soup in the area, but good enough. Caesar was just croutons, Parmesan and dressing and was fine. My wife got the "fresh catch" Chilean Sea Bass for $33. It was kind of fishy tasting. Fresh fish is rarely fishy. It was overcooked, horribly plated and the blackened seasoning had minimal flavor. It was bad. We asked for some tarter for it and it made it tolerable. The server offered to replace it, but having just waited 45 minutes for food we weren't going to chance something else, particularly since we were with another couple. While we were waiting I had 2 $3 special Budweisers and my wife had a $14 Snowflake Margarita. They were all fine. My kids sprite was $4 which feels outrageous, but I don't know what places are charging these days for sodas. I normally don't pay attention. Bill came with another apology for all the waiting and no discount. Tough to make it as a seafood restaurant when you are struggling with your seafood. I heard their seafood nachos are excellent.... Maybe I'll give them another chance for those. My first experience was not a good one.

Exceptional! Our server Jaedin was terrific. The only aspect to mar our visit was a snippy, snarky little-bit-of-a-thing hostess who never made eye contact and barked at us when we asked to be seated in a booth... said they were reserved, but we ordered, ate and finished and two booths remained open. We were there for a Monday lunch, can't speak to the dinner service. We also weren't drinking alcohol that day, though I thought the beer flights looked tempting. One of us had a cheeseburger that was requested to be "pink" and was overcooked and just blah. One of us had a chicken salad that was served with no chicken. Someone from the kitchen rushed out with a soup bowl filled with chicken slices that looked like those Perdue rotisserie chicken slices you buy at the grocery store. Dumped them on the salad. She did apologize. Our third order was a Restaurant Week special fried oyster salad vouched for by our server, Bailey, who was pleasant and efficient. It came with corn, black beans, mixed greens, cotija cheese and a spicy dressing. It wasn't awful but I think the overall concept was weird. Fried oyster taco salad? The few oyster pieces were tasty. Maybe we were there on a bad day, which happens. The chicken salad fiasco was funny. Not a place I would drive across town to try twice. Maybe stick to burgers and plenty of beer.

It always sucks to have to write a tough review for a place that does seem to try so hard…read more Unfortunately, the food here really has much room for improvement. Let's start with the good. There's plenty of parking and the ambiance of this place is memorable, in a really dated (like borderline cheesy nautical decor) 80's kind of way. This place is also insanely dark, which seems to try and convey a romantic atmosphere, but it's just plain dark if you ask me. Now sadly, the food really is, for lack of a better word, pretty bad across the board. If there's anything on the menu you should stay the hell away from, it's definitely the French onion soup. The soup itself was so salty, it was absolutely inedible. It was promptly sent back and replaced with a clam chowder, which was on the other end of the spectrum - totally bland and absolutely devoid of any meaningful flavor. The entrees were no better. The stuffed flounder was expensive but tasted nowhere close to the price tag. The fish, like the chowder, was completely devoid of flavor and was not seasoned. The crab stuffing was mushy and not appetizing. Generally speaking, there was nothing appetizing about the meal, including the palate cleanser, which had no discernible taste as well (even though it was supposed to be some kind of lime sherbet of sorts). Again, this place tries hard to be upscale, but absolutely falls flat on the food. Even the rolls and opening weird coffee cake like kind of bread they serve were bland or tasted off. The service was also spotty and confusing all night. Our server was friendly and did do her best to keep up, but generally the food took a long time and it took 20 minutes to even get water. At least the host was friendly and the staff in general did seem to try their best despite being not up to par to the kind of upscale experience they try to emulate. At least the meal ended alright. The flambe dessert (I chose peach) was a nice little show, mostly because this old fashioned dated experience is literally nowhere to be seen in the NYC area these days, so it was nice to sort of relive a cheesy memory. The taste of the dessert was also a nice throwback to older times, though I'm not sure if this was meant to be an actual nostalgia trip here. In the end, given the presence of better dining options close by, I'd say you're better off going somewhere else.
