Most everything was done over text, email, and facetime videos so we could get a feel for the place. We were so pleased the day of to be greeted by attentive staff, a beautiful space, set up and grazing table. The food was amazing, we were happy with the choices we had for entrees, and the decision to offer dessert at the grazing table worked out well to get people moving and mingling. The dinner went right into welcome drinks with over 100 more people coming in and the staff managed the flow of the crowd really well. The specialty drinks were a hit. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. The restaurant bills a 3.5% surcharge to support the kitchen staff. I would much rather see that incorporated into the menu prices. I don't understand why it's separate. I understand providing a competitive edge to staff, just build it into the prices.
