The milk tea wasn't amazing but wasn't bad either. I got 50% sugar and I felt like it tasted a little watered down. The prices were fair and there was seating in there to hang out which was nice. It's not my go to place but can be worth checking out if you're curious!

Came in after having a quick bite near Seattle University and I was craving some boba. Hi Tea Cafe was one of the few boba places I have yet to try in the Seattle area, so I wanted to cross that off my list. To be honest my expectations weren't too high since this place is basically unheard of amongst the sea of other boba shops that exist in the city. The interior of the shop was quite tacky, I was kind of getting the "middle age suburban mom" decor type of vibe. Random positive affirmations written around the place like "Dream Big" or some other uplifting quote. I don't know, that kind of vibe just felt outdated to me. Anyways, I ordered their Mango Sago Pomelo drink which was one of their specialty drinks here. My first sip I thought it wasn't too bad and I could maybe enjoy this drink. But after a few more sips my face started to make that sour look you get after tasting, ya know... a very sour taste. I didn't realise the pomelo part of the drink would be pomelo pulp bits rather than squeezed pomelo. And that pomelo pulp was SO sour it just completely ruined the drink for me. And don't get me wrong I like pomelo, but with this drink it was just not it. I still drank most of it because the rest of the drink was okay, but I repeatedly made that sour face every time I drank it. I'm sure the other drinks has got to be a little better, but I'm not that hopeful. It makes sense why this boba place isn't talked about a lot, it's just not worth going to when you have so many better options not only in Seattle, but in Capitol Hill alone.

Okay drinks, nothing special but nothing terrible. Maybe a little watered down? I'd come back if in the area because there are a ton of great restaurants, but would not go out of my way to come. This was over the summer when they had no dine in and you ordered through a window, so maybe the consistency was off for other reasons. Mango Sago Pomelo - sweet with a fair taste of mango, it was still pretty smooth and liquidy. The sago was typical. I would say this is comparable to most other mango sago drinks you might find at boba spots. Nothing too special about it, so just average. Cookie Milk Tea - I added crystal boba here, I don't remember why but I want to think they ran out of boba. The crystal boba was fine, pretty standard so no comment. The cookie milk tea is a sweeter drink with crema and cookie crumbles on top.

Love this place! I've been needing more boba spots in Capitol Hill and this is definitely going on the favorites list. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba and it was delicious! I wish it was a little more sweeter so I'll ask for higher sugar level next time. The boba itself was the perfect consistency of not being too chewy or hard with a good level of sweetness. It was under $6 which I feel like is a super good price for boba these days. Next time I want to try the coconut milk tea or almond mlik tea, those are some of my favorite drinks!

On my mission to try as many boba places as I could during my month in Seattle, of course I couldn't leave out Hi Tea. I lived across the street and noticed a fairly steady stream of clientele, which gave me hope. When I visited, there was no access inside (I'm sure things have changed now). You order yourself on the iPad and wait on the sidewalk. We were asked to wait a few minutes before placing our order, maybe because they were a little backed up? Our drinks were a bit delayed coming out, so that would check out. I tried the mango yakult. Not my typical tea order, but no time like the present to try something new, right? It was okay. Good in a pinch, but not too memorable. I like that you can adjust sugar and ice levels. My friend had similar sentiments about her drink, too. Overall, I'd prefer to make the small trek over to Tea Addicts instead.

Cute inside, friendly staff. We just ordered a bubble waffles and the flavor was sweet and surprisingly good. Would try again and get drinks.

I am from the bay area, so my standards for boba may be a bit high. Overall, I thought the boba here was decent. I got the lavender milk tea with 75% sweetness. I barely tasted any lavender flavor, and it was still really sweet, so I'm glad I didn't get 100% sweetness. The texture of the boba was mediocre: it seemed overcooked and wasn't that chewy. That said, it comes in a pretty big size and is in a good location, so I'll probably be back.

A cute, little boba shop located right on Broadway -- it's super easy to order on the touchscreen and they text you when it's ready. I love all the customizations you can make around sugar level, ice, and if you want the drink warm or cold. They are super reasonably priced and have lots of great snack foods too! I got the cookie milk tea and was pleasantly surprised -- I feel like I usually don't stray too far from the classic jasmine ones, but this one was super tasty and had crumbled Oreos on top! I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

Got the Peach Roselle Tea. Good tea. On the sweeter side and I ordered with no ice initially but I immediately regretted it when I took a sip so they were super nice about putting ice in it for me and resealing it.

The perfect snack!! I was walking around capitol hill, pretty hungry from a full day of activities and we say Hi Tea right in front of us! It was the perfect midday snack! I was super impressed. I have had yakult drinks at other places and they sometimes give me a weird aftertaste. This didnt at all. I do suggest getting Less Sugar though since I think that contributed to the flavor. Also the waffle fries are BOMB. Crispy and well seasoned :) I wish we got another bag

Came back again a few times now and their milk tea is incredibly watered down. Wouldn't recommend coming here if you want bubble tea.

It was so clean and slick. The menu had milk tea, tea latte, flavored tea, pink salt cheese crema, alongside 10 different toppings. Sugar and ice level were customizable. You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but my all time favorites are the tieguanyin oolong milk tea with toppings and the strawberry milk tea, which I believe they have now rebranded to strawberry smoothie. Sugar is adjustable which is great because I love my drinks less sweet. I got the strawberry smoothie and bff milk tea this time, which I believe is black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly, and I added egg pudding. So delicious and creamy, and the smoothie does not give off an artificial fruit taste. One thing that was off-putting to me was the signage indicating their kiosk. The makeshift, handwritten message to turn around and use the kiosk seems passive aggressive and gives off the message that the workers do not want to talk to you. Other than that, we got our drinks pretty fast since it wasn't busy near closing, which was when I went.

My niece suggested that we see if this place was actually Seattle Best Tea. The interior was crowded, so we thought that it must be a popular place. There were people standing in line and a small group sitting in the back of the shop. Service was efficient and polite. I was told that wintermelon tea cannot be served hot. That's ok... I can drink it with less ice on a chilly, cloudy afternoon. Since toppings were free, I got rainbow jelly. Yay! Thank you! We'll be back if we're in the area again!
