We engaged Eric to design 2 matching wardrobe cabinets to blend in with our existing built in shelving. Eric installed the 2 wardrobe cabinets using solid oak that he stained to the exact color of my existing shelving, the wardrobe closets was beautifully built with lights upon opening and drawers and shelf . We are very happy with his work, he's meticulous, detailed and is always happy , his crews are also very friendly and conscious . We know he is standing by his work and will come back to fix or make any changes that we ask him to do. We highly recommend Eric for anything pertaining to woodworking , he's the best in Honolulu! My mom wanted a design-build company that would take care of the entire project from start to finish. We met with three other design-build companies and felt most comfortable with Atlas. Their estimate was also fair and reasonable. Josh, our project coordinator, was down to earth, patient, a good listener, and easy to work with. He made my mom feel at ease and clearly cared about what was important to her. Josh was a constant presence from the beginning and throughout the design phase. We met with Jeremy and Josh weekly to design the layout and specifications of the ADU. We had difficulty making some decisions and changed our minds on a few things. They were incredibly patient and kind toward us, doing their best to accommodate exactly what my mom wanted. We continued meeting weekly with them until we were completely happy with the design plans. After that, they took care of submitting the plans for permitting. Once permitting was approved--less than a year later--we met at our home with Josh, Bruce (the owner), and Shay and Saul. Bruce came to meet us personally to share the company's heart, commitment, and dedication to its customers. Shay was our project manager, and we worked with her for the entire duration of the build. Shay was extremely responsive, patient, accommodating, and always available. We can be very detail-oriented and nit-picky, but she took it all in stride. She truly went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure we were happy with everything and completely satisfied with the end product. Even when unexpected things came up or things didn't go exactly as planned, Shay always made it right. The build took about nine months, which was quicker than the permitting. All the workers and subcontractors were great to work with. They were respectful, on time, and hardworking. Unfortunately, I can't remember everyone's names, but I specifically want to give a shout-out to Gabe, Randy, Shane, and Aaron; and to the subcontractors, Joel (electrician) and Marlon (AC). Bethany, our selections coordinator, was also wonderful--knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to meet with us multiple times. She even came with us to different vendors to help us select every single item in the ADU. Her eye for design was extremely helpful. She also put together a packet of all the products we selected with their warranties and rebates! We can't thank Atlas enough for their professionalism and trustworthiness. Every member of the team worked with the same ethic and care. My mom is extremely happy and settled in her new home. It has everything she asked for, with quality materials and craftsmanship. Atlas was amazingly able to design an ADU with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a laundry room, living room, and kitchen--all within 800 square feet! Even after our project was done, we have contacted Shay a few times, and she is still incredibly helpful and responsive. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless. William managed this project very well and guided us through this process with ease. At any point if we had questions he was quick to respond. The showroom they have is great and the experience of setting your preferences on design and materials is quite enjoyable. The only hiccup we encountered is that the supplier of the original tile that had been selected did not come in the size we needed and so it wouldn't have meshed well with the current tile in the living room. William helped us find a suitable alternative and we were able to pivot and are very pleased with the outcome. There were a couple of adjustments during the project but again related to the tile, we changed the direction of the placement which allows for us to replace the remaining tile in the house in the future if we decided to do so. William and team thinking ahead with our needs in mind really provided a sense of care. To top it all off, we wanted this build done ASAP and the team was able to complete the remodel in 8 days compared to their estimate of 10 - 14.
