I asked for help with staining my door. Leon came out to take a look and told me he would get back with me on a quote. He gave me his card and was excited to work with him. He was super nice and knowledgeable. He was recommended by my handyman who felt he did good work. Then nothing. No responses from texts. Attempted to call multiple times, but never took my call. Could not tell me he declined to take my job? Was hoping at least to get a recommendation on who could help me. My handyman was surprised as well. Left stuck. Agree with the previous person, very unprofessional and I am sure he does excellent work. Just say no next time if you don't want the job instead of leaving me hanging My family is in construction and we will not be recommending him to other clients. They don't work that way. Very disappointing and still have a door that needs to be stained read more

Excellent job done & customer service provided by John. Exterior paint job & spot termite repair was "perfecto mundo". In addition, they were very professional, courteous, and daily cleanup. I have an older house and this was our 3rd paint job and the best. Work was done far above my expectations. We are very happy. Thank you John & Impact Painting. read more

Our painter fell through at the last minute and we needed our interior home painted within days, reached out for a quote with impact painting and Leon responded within minutes. I was brutally honest with him about last minute emergency and also transparent about our finances and he was very compassionate and understanding and willing to try and work with us. After messaging back and forth about the details, he was very honest and gave me two different options to see which one was more feasible for us. He took the time to break everything down with just videos and pictures of our home since we were pinched on time. After receiving his quote, I realized he was really trying to give me a competitive price, but unfortunately it was not in our budget. Also, how well he handled our situation, we did not want to disrespect him and his company as they deserve the quote and more that was presented. We felt really bad and if we had the financing, we would 100% go with Leon. Even after we thanked him and denied his offer, he still reached out afterwards to try and work something out, but not in a pushy or sales person kind of way, but in a concerned friend way...because of that, we did not want to low ball him or his workers. Although we did not go with Leon or got to first hand see his work, just the first impression and how he handles his company, speaks volumes. My family appreciates your kindness and willingness to help Leon. God bless! read more

I reached out to this company to get a quote for wallpaper installation for my new nursery. We messaged a few times on yelp and I never received a phone call or a quote. I think that is very unprofessional to not get back to someone. Look for another business who actually responds to your messages and wants your business. read more

If you're looking for a paint contractor to show up, do what you requested, Leon and crew worked beyond expectations. Had a little problem with bubbling on framing. Called Leon, he sent John out to fix it. This is a year after original job. Impact Paining has a guarantee and they stand by it. Nice. For sure plan on using them again for interior work. Mahalo. I can't say enough good things about Impact Painting. They definitely deserve a 5 star rating. Leon (owner), John, Mike and Jonah were all excellent and transparent in their communications, easy to understand, honest, friendly, and hard working (John & Mike showed up at 7-7:15 AM each day & worked full 8 hr days). They were diligent, efficient & detailed, taking pride in their work, doing an AWESOME job. They were true to their word from beginning to end. Not only was their estimate competitive (lowest bid) but, most importantly, their final cost closely matched their estimate (a rarity in the construction industry) without sacrificing quality. They also completed the project in the time frame they initially quoted (even with the 2 bad weather days)..... another rarity in the construction industry. I would not hesitate to use them in the future if needed and recommend them highly without reservation. read more

Leon and his team did a great job with painting the entire interior our home. The property was in dire need of a new look and they promptly responded with a quote that included interior pictures of the townhome before we moved back in. He also offered replacing damaged trim with real wood and Communication was also superb throughout the project. When we arrived they met us at the property and walked through each room. They also back their work with a warranty and offered to come back and touch up and marks after the movers deliver household goods. A+ read more

It was important to leave this perfect score review as it is well deserved!!! I got several bids from other licensed painting companies. Impact was competitive in pricing and their contract was very detailed. They guarantee their work and customer satisfaction is a priority, so that they don't require a down payment until completion! The most important part of my review is their work quality. Once I signed their agreement, I gave them my color scheme. They were painting the exterior of my 2 story home approximately 4,000sq ft and I wanted 5 different colors. I had different colors on 1st and 2nd floors, window frames, gutters, and my special Asian window that requires details! Excellent job done and highly recommend! Thank you to Chris Averette-owner and Jace-foreman! (I will be posting pictures) read more

Impact Painting applied two coats of oil-based stain to our redwood house. Despite interruptions caused by weather, the work was completed quickly and to a high standard. I requested painting of my upper level exterior and gables. Leon was fantastic in providing estimate. Although I had some issues during the job with the work under the supervision of a newer person, I must credit the integrity of Leon who followed up promptly and did a fantastic job making sure I was happy with their work product. I would highly recommend them. I did request a 2nd estimate and both estimates were very similar. read more

After asking friends and neighbors for recommendations for house painters I kept hearing great things about Impact Painting. I got in touch with them and got a quote for the painting to be done. Leon was the contact person for us and he had a contract ready for us to sign within a few days. Of course we had to wait a couple of months but that was the only negative. If you choose them know that they seem to be everyone's first choice so a little bit of wait is normal. The painters arrived on the designated day and spent the first three days power washing and prepping the house. They were very thorough. We had interior and exterior. It took two weeks and they did a fabulous job. The painters were nice, friendly and professional. They cleaned up after the job completely. We can highly recommend Impact Painting! read more

Impact Painting has exceeded my expectations from great customer service to quality work and detail. Chris, Manny, Jonah, Kayton, Jason, Kakea, Chase and the crew are hands DOWN the best Painting Crew on the island. From the Initial day 1 estimate to color sampling to the final walkthrough... Manny and Jonah were very informative and thorough. They focused on customer satisfaction as well as detail and quality work. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for those who are looking into painting any project. Don't settle for less quality than the rest. We hired Impact Painting to do a full repaint of our house exterior and they were very professional and did a great job. The owner, Chris, came, gave a quote, wrote up a well written proposal and they painted sample colors at our house free of charge to help us make a selection. They used two coats of paint and their charges were very reasonable. They use high quality paint. They didn't even require any deposit until the job was done. That alone speaks volumes on their quality of work. Great company and great business! They do it how it should be done! No hidden extra charges, no surprises. I would not go anywhere else for any significant paint job. They are busy so you may have to wait a while to get it done but these guys are worth the wait. We waited a few months, but I am glad we did. They are busy because they are good at what they do and are in high demand. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for Impact Painting for awhile but kept forgetting. As I was lying on my floor this morning and admiring the awesome paint job from 5 years ago for the millionth time, just wanted to add my kudos to the stellar reviews on this great team. We bought our house in 2014, and although the vaulted ceilings looked okay, the natural wood and purple beams didn't match our decor, so the one thing we decided to do before moving in with our dog and baby was to paint the ceiling. After climbing on a ladder and realizing we had no idea how to properly prep and paint a vaulted ceiling, I emailed Chris at Impact Painting. He was professional, communicated clearly, and showed up early to give a reasonable estimate. His awesome team finished the job of painting all the ceilings, a bathroom, and went over and above by even painting the insides of our skylights! They finished so quickly and were always so polite and organized. They were so detail-oriented and precise; every edge was clean and the floors and walls were spotless. It was an amazing job and continues to look just as good today, 5 years later. The house is noticeably brighter and happier! Thank you so much, Impact Painting! read more

From beginning to end, this was a professional and well-run operation. They were not able to start right away, but they gave an estimate of when they would be available and they were able to start on the appointed week, despite all the rain we have been having. The carpentry work was well done and they took care in the prep work as well. They came whenever the weather conditions allowed and did a walk through just prior to completion of work. Some trim areas were not done as expected, and they immediately addressed and fixed those areas. They were also super clean in their work and tidied everything up before they left each day. Really impressed with the quality of their service, attitude and work. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone contemplating an exterior paint job. read more

Can't say enough good things about Impact Painting. Stopped by their booth at the BIA Home Show and our discussion with Manny set Impact Painting apart from all others. Manny and Chris took the time to come by the house and discuss the job in detail with us to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted for a full interior paint job. The team that came out, led by Jase, was professional, friendly, and meticulous in their attention to every detail. They had obvious pride in their work and in the company. They treated painting our home as they would their own. You absolutely can't go wrong with Impact Painting! read more

My house desperately needed to be repainted so I hired Impact Painting this summer. Manny did our estimate and he was so nice! He gave us samples, educated us the different kinds of paints, and was very clear on the how and why through the whole process. They sent Jonah and Adam and I was very impressed by their work. Very detail oriented and you can tell they really know what they're doing. Another thing that I like is that they guarantee their work. I have absolutely no complaints, but it's nice to know how much they care. For every question that I had, they had such a positive attitude and we're so nice! read more

Our HOA (a necessary evil I say) has decided it is finally time to repaint the exterior of our house...along with the rest of the neighborhood. Naturally, I scoured Yelp for recommendations, in addition to recommendations from other home owners who are getting their houses painted as well. I narrowed down my choice to three companies, with a fourth one chopped because the owner was "too busy" to come out and see my house to provide an estimate and urged me to just email him the dimensions of the house instead and he'll use that to provide an estimate. C'mon! Nothing says "I don't need your business" like telling a potential customer you have no time for him. All three "finalists" have favorable reviews on Yelp, with Impact providing the best quote. One of the three I was considering happened to paint my neighbor's house so I got to see them in action. In speaking with my neighbor, certain things made me question whether this other company was the one I should go with...i.e. my neighbor was told Sherwin Williams ran out of his color of paint (really?) so they convinced him Glidden is just as good...or they initially promised him they will cover his solar panels only to be convinced his panels shouldn't need covering as it should not be impacted by any over-spraying (really?). In the end, I went with Impact Painting. They had the best quote and Chris, the owner, was responsive, informative, and readily returned emailed questions. I communicated my desire to have Sherwin Williams paint (incidentally my research suggested that the top brands of paint are Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Pittsburgh Paint) and to ensure the solar panels are covered prior to any spraying. I also wanted bird vent covers installed (those 2" round vent covers are not cheap and I bought them myself at HD) and he provided a reasonable quote for the labor on that add on. Pros and tips: - Chris, the owner, was involved all along and was side by side with his crew in painting my house. He was knowledgeable and even shared some tips on how to stain the concrete in my backyard. He provided an estimate for that but I decided to do it myself. - What Chris said he would do, he and his crew did. He and his crew were professional, conscientious, and courteous. - Look for a company that is licensed...there are many "fly by night" painters that would offer to paint your house for a very low price..but what happens when someone gets injured on the job and they do not carry any health insurance...will you be on the hook? - Do not be swayed into accepting a lesser quality paint...if they quote you a certain brand like Sherwin Williams or Pittsburgh Paint or Benjamin Moore, ensure they stick with that or adjust the quote accordingly if a "lesser quality" paint is suggested - Look for a company that would back their work with a 5-year warranty. If they only offer a 2-year warranty, then request a 5-year warranty for no additional bump in cost...any good company will stand by their work. Notes: - There were a couple of rose bushes that had branches broken off due to the heavy drop cloths used to cover them. If you have plants you want to ensure are protected, either move them indoors or away from the structure to ensure they would be OK...or request lighter drop cloths be used on those particular plants you can't move. - Prior to any painting, make sure you take multiple pictures of your house to ensure the paint scheme is maintained (especially if dictated by HOA) ..i.e. fascia and gutter remain the original color, trim and base remain the same, etc. - Do a walk through of the painted area to point out any minor issues that the painters can address then and there...maybe even do this prior to an initial walk through with Chris or whomever the owner is. read more

If you're considering having your house painted, I recommend these guys!! Chris is easy to work with, easy to get in touch with and the job was well done! They got us a quote in a timely manner and gave a great price!! Guy and his crew finished our home in less than a week. They were courteous and professional. No mess was ever left behind and they are a "green" company! :-) For those who are pricing or just "shopping" around, as a heads up, we got the best price from Impact painting and they were able to do our job within a reasonable time frame. When we were looking around, we had to deal with a lot of "flaky" painters- some gave us quotes and never came back to do the job, some never called back, and some had really high prices...but we were more than satisfied with the complete service that impact painting provided! We wished we had called them first! Hope this review helps all of those out there searching for the perfect painting service! read more

I thought I'd already written a review for this company but I don't see it now, so I'll put up what I remember. We had our home painted outdoors approximately a couple of years ago, as the association said it was required. I got 3 estimates and was impressed by Chris and his knowledge. Not to diss the other companies - it was a hard choice. But Chris and his crew did an excellent job, timely, and the color matched the association's requirements without problems. Overall I was very happy and would choose them again. The paint has lasted well thus far and it was a quality job. read more

My experience with Impact Painting was great from the beginning. As with others my HOA had sent notice that my house was in need of repainting. Manny at Impact painting was one of the first to respond to my request for estimates and was very willing to work with my schedule for the estimate walk through. During that walk through Manny was very professional and answered all of my questions. As this was my first time getting a house painted he was also kind enough to propose a few questions that I should be asking. The painting itself went smoothly, starting on schedule and finishing just slightly ahead of schedule. It did take a little while for the foreman to comeback for the final walkthru, but that gave me time to do several walkthrus on my own without pressure. There were a few minor touch up areas that the foreman and his painter fixed up that day. I suppose this is standard procedure, but they left the extra paint in case I need to make minor touch ups in the future. All in all my house looks great now and I'm happy with the service! read more

Impact painting just completed our exterior paint job and we loved it. I commend these guys for their professional services and awesome customer service. Paint job is a big job, and so we took our time doing our research and getting quotes. I have to say that, this was one of the most simple-detailed quotes I got out of the 8 quotes we were able to get in our process. Estimate was at a decent price; easy to understand and loved the click options and it automatically gives me the exact amount of the job. The painters (Jonah and Neal) did a fantastic job with painting our exterior; from power washing to caulking to applying primer on spots that needed primer, installing our vents to cover all the bird-hole ventilation and painting, as a customer, i was happy with the results. I love looking at our new paint job every time i pulled up to the house. I honestly think i have the best color and paint job in my hood. I'm also grateful and appreciative of Manny for giving me an expert recommendations on going with lighter color vs. a dark color that i wanted for the sake of protecting the house from the heat. Thank you Manny for that advise, and i'm very happy that i choose a lighter gray; thank you for making it easier for us by providing those lighter gray options. Didn't know that there are so many shades of gray out there...lol. I would highly recommend these guys for their decent price, professionalism, expertise in their field, customer service, and quality of their service. One other thing that i loved about these guys is that they can install vents cover to cover up those annoying bird-hole ventilation. Speaking from experience, birds can fit in these holes and they will also bring in grass to keep them warm and comfy in your attic during the cold season. Get them vent covers to cover up them bird-hole ventilation especially if you live up in Makakilo at a very decent price. No more birds chirping in the attic early in the morning for me...lol. read more

Enjoyed working with impact painting from day one, quote day. Chris was extremely professional and made the walk around very easy and relaxed. It was like talking story with a friend you've known for years. The initial meeting as well as their warranty really sealed the deal for us, especially for an older house for an exterior paint job. They provide very competitive pricing and have very cool peel and stick paint samples that you can cut up and stick on your house to find your final colors. Any questions we had along the way Chris and Jon were always there to provide simple and speedy answers via phone or in person. That brings us to Jon who headed the daily painting project. He and the paint team were very easy to work with. They always accommodated our comings and goings, informed us what we should be aware of for the upcoming days, and were always courteous and respectful. The final walkthrough was a breeze as well. Any small thing that we saw that needed a touch up was a no problem fix and they were happy to make our idea of perfect happen. You can tell that they really care about what the customer wants. I'm not really one to write reviews but I had such a great experience with a smaller company that I wanted to spread the word about how awesome they were. I recently hired Impact Painting to paint my master bedroom, bathroom, upstairs hallway, wall staircase, foyer, living room and kitchen. The service and efficiency was amazing from start to finish. I had met Chris (the owner of Impact Painting) when we had the exterior of our house painted last summer. We had spoken a few times about my ongoing home renovations during that job and he mentioned that he had a small company that could help us with a multitude of projects if we ever needed assistance. I requested his card and as soon as we decided to paint the interior (about a year later), I reached out to him for a quote. I emailed him and heard back from him within 24 hours to set up an appointment for an estimate. I also reached out to 4 other places some of which never returned my calls/emails and others that took entirely too long to set up a day to quote. After getting two in person quotes and two telephone quotes based on square footage, I decided to go with impact painting because their price was much more reasonable than the others, particularly those who simply guessed over the phone and they were constantly professional, always answering my questions within 24 hours. The owner, Chris, came out several times to aid us in selecting the colors for the house. He was extremely patient as my husband and I simply couldn't figure out what we wanted. We finally decided to mix two colors to come up with a color we both liked. The actual job was done really quick and efficiently. His staff of 2 and sometimes 3 guys were polite, professional and on time each day. I had a last minute time crunch and they were able to finish everything in a little over 3 days. We were expecting the whole job to take a week so this was amazing! His staff was also very understanding of our 3 curious dogs who escaped on more than one occasion to investigate what was going on in the various places around the house. Chris was also very prompt, often making visits to the house to make sure I was happy with everything going on. I highly recommend them for their price, quick responsiveness and work product. Everyone who has come into our home since says how open and great it looks. We will definitely be contacting them again for any other jobs we need done. read more

Impact Painting did excellent work on our house. Chris and his crew were impressively organized and methodical, yet they were flexible enough to work with us. Chris responded promptly to our inquiry and was quick to give an estimate. The painters primed and painted the fascia, and then they waited for our rain gutters to be installed. Then they power-washed, scraped, and repainted the eaves. They promised not to get any paint on our siding or our new driveway - and they didn't leave even a drop. (They masked the whole house.) They even helped with our color choice. It wasn't a simple job - we had a bunch of stuff stacked on one side of the house, sort of in the way. They didn't complain - just moved or masked what they needed to. Chris and his crew were prompt, neat, polite, and efficient. The price was very fair. The paint looks great. What more could we ask for? I hope they'll do further work for us. read more
