If you're still hesitating about selecting a reliable, professional painter with excellent workmanship, look no further. Brian is your man. Our house looks like new, and his quote was very reasonable. He preps, power washes, removes mold, fills holes, fix cracks, applies anti-rust coating and finishes it off with the highest quality paint. Thank you Brian! read more

I wholeheartedly recommend McBride Painting. Brian McBride was our sixth painter to give us a quote because we could not find an exterior painter that fit our specific needs or budget. The first impression I had of Brian was good. He listened to what I wanted to have done and did the detail work and used the paint products I requested. The job went smoothly within the time frame that he told us and all metal areas of our house exterior were primed as requested as well as a whole house wood primer and two finish coats on top of that. His respectfulness and attention to detail was impressive. His price was within range of two of the other five quotes and was reasonable. Brian is a Licensed Painter in good standing with the State of Hawaii with no complaints outstanding. Brian also has Liability Insurance. As a former Contractor I knew that I wanted a Licensed Contractor and I was not disappointed with Brian's work. Our house looks beautiful and we are very satisfied. If you are looking for a painter, check McBride Painting out as I believe that you will not be disappointed in hiring this company. read more

Brian did our exterior painting recently. I highly recommend his great quality of work and attention to detail. He is very easy to work with throughout the whole process. There are not many contractors that I would recommend to friends and neighbors, but Brian definitely is one of them. He was flexible and fair when we had to make changes along the way. Overall, I am very happy with his work. read more

McBride Painting Hawaii did a phenomenal job on my 2000 sq ft house and 300ft fence. They are by far one of the most professional trustworthy and honest company's I have worked with in a long time. They responded to my inquiries in a timely manner, stuck to a timeline, provided written contacts/invoices, quoted a reasonable price, used only the best products and didn't do short cuts. In addition, Brian, the owner, has over 30 years of experience. His crew consist of him and one additional worker who has been working with him for years. He is on every site for the duration of the job. He has a great color-pallet eye for cool ideas, knows how to properly fix minor wood issues and really takes pride in his work. I honestly wish every company operated like McBride Painting Hawaii. Now I know why they sustain an A+ rating at the Better Business Bureau and 5 Star review within Yelp! I completely recommend this company if you ever need your house painted. read more

Brian McBride just finished painting the exterior of our 2-story house and I couldn't be happier! He was very detailed oriented, worked to the highest standard and went above and beyond to make sure our Kailua home, that we have lived in for 60 years, looks like new! AND he came in at HALF the COST of my other estimates! Brian cared about doing a quality job and we will absolutely use him when it's time to do the interior! I highly recommend him! read more

Brian was a pleasure to work with during our home exterior paint job. He did detailed quality work and clean up. We have been complimented often on his work and are pleased such a big job was completed so effortlessly. He also painted our masonry wall bringing new life to our back yard. We found McBride Painting on Next Door and all of the reviews were positive so we requested a quote from McBride and 3 others on Next Door that had good reviews. McBride provided the best value on their quote and we are very happy with the excellent job they did. We have a 2600 sq ft, 2 story house and his crew painted the exterior including garage door, railing, etc. We also had them paint our stucco wall surrounding our property. They filled in all the holes, gaps, punctures etc in the wall, filled the gaps along the windows, etc.. they did an EXCELLENT job. We highly recommend Brian and his team and plan to use his company in the future for our next house. read more

Brian is a seasoned painter. He is very good at what he does. He uses the best tools, paint (Sherwin-Williams), and takes pride in his work. You won't find many other painters like him with his sense of humor and dedication to his craft. I'm very pleased to have had the opportunity to use Brian's services on multiple occasions. Helping my mother sell her house was nothing short of stressful but Brian and his crew made it easy. After 25 years in a single home, it had grown to our specific needs and wants and less to what people look for when buying a new home. After receiving a number of quotes and timelines, I decided to go with Brian. Brian and his team were amazing. Out of all the different groups of people you deal with when selling a home - plumbers, haulers, landscapers etc.. Brian's group was by far the most polite and professional I came across. The quotes he gave me were reasonable and always accurate, his work completion timeline always what he said, and the quality of the work was excellent. His workers are focused and work very hard day after day until completion. I was very impressed. I initially hired him to paint all walls, ceilings, doors and window trims. This job involved removing wallpaper, patching holes, filling cracks and painting with great precision. Once I saw the quality of his work; I asked him to continue with another job at my own home . Every job completed at a reasonable price for the excellent quality you are getting. I really do not know how I could have prepared the home as quickly as I did without them. I would hire Brian and his crew again in a heartbeat and have already recommended him to my neighbors who are in need of some work soon. Thank you again, read more

It is no surprise that McBride Painting has 5 star reviews. Brian is a professional and courteous worker who painted the exterior of our house. His attention to detail and ability to suggest many great color ideas and contrasts regarding windows, railings and exterior doors really showed in the final product. Brian did a great job prepping the house for painting and keeping the area clean. He returned to address a few minor issues to our satisfaction that occurred after he finished. Brian uses top quality Sherwin-Williams paint and the house shows it. I highly recommend Brian for a great paint job at a reasonable price. You won't regret selecting McBride Painting. read more

We recently had the exterior of our 2000sq ft 2 story home painted by McBride painting (pics to come). We have used a variety of contractor services and it's rare to experience McBride's paintings professionalism. Brian, provided a prompt, detailed, competitively priced bid that included pressure washing, major rust prep (we are close to the water), a full coat of primer, gaco roof sealant, and 2 coats of top of the line paint. Brian even came over before the job, to assist with paint selection and picked up samples. Brian and his assistant Brad communicated well, showed up @ 7:30 every am and worked daily to complete the job in ~ 7 business days. At the end of the job after we had paid, we noticed a couple minor touch up spots and McBride painting graciously came the next morning to fix. Highly recommended and we would definitely use them again for any future painting projects. read more

I've used McBride Painting twice and have been happy with their work everytime. They prep it all the correct way, and used the high-end line of Sherwin Williams paint. I was very concerned about the prepping, and wanted to only use the best paint. After they did the first job i was very pleased, and called them again for another job. I've been recommending them to my friends too. read more

Outstanding workmanship for exterior painting of a large two story home. Important difference with McBride is the guy who quotes the job is the same guy on the job every day. No unskilled workers, just two talented painters dedicated to a quality job. Attention to detail, preparation, sanding where needed, caulking, window and door frames, before applying the primer. Then two (2) coats of high quality paint that will last for years. When the two spotless white vans pull up to start your job you know they have pride in their work and as professionals strive to convey that image. Nobody else will paint our house in the years to come. read more

I highly recommend McBride Painting. We have a large trellis that the paint was literally falling off of (even though it was painted about 4 years ago). Brian knew exactly what to do to make sure that this time the paint would stay on for a long, long time. I appreciated how he matched the existing color too. Even though areas of the trellis were high and hard to get to, the entire structure was painted perfectly. Call McBride Painting when you need the painting done right. read more

When I recently bought a condo in Kailua, I wanted all interior walls, door frames and baseboards painted prior to my move in date. I was looking for a local, reliable, experienced, licensed yet reasonably priced painter who could take care of this project at short notice and who was flexible enough to work around my and the flooring contractor's schedules. Brian McBride was that guy! I am quite finicky when it comes to tidiness and precision. Brian listened to my needs, was professional and detail oriented. I have been very happy with the result of his paint job. read more

Brian just completed painting the exterior and partial interior of my house in Hawaii Kai. First of all, he is very responsive and gets back to you immediately. That is my first test of a reliable contractor. He also worked with my tight deadline to get the project done before we moved in. He and Brad worked tirelessly for two weeks to make sure they completed the job on time. Brian power washed, prepped and primed the entire house, then put on two coats of Sherwin-Willams Duration (best quality paint). This was a challenging job - the house hadn't been painted in years and the paint was peeling and cracking. The house is also situated on a hill with a very steep driveway to maneuver. However, Brian faced the challenge with a great attitude and sense of humor. He is really easy to work with and has great suggestions for color combinations. Brian strives for perfection and you can tell he loves his job. He has 27 years of experience and it shows. Our house looks brand new and beautiful with its new paint job. I found McBride Painting on Yelp and I will not hesitate to use them again! If you are looking for a dedicated, quality, reasonably priced painter, give them a call. Highly recommended without reservations! read more

McBride Painting did a very nice job on my house. The owner helped me select my color scheme, which I was having a hard time doing because i'm pretty picky. These guys were really clean and meticulous, and covered everything up. They also moved a lot of stuff for us that we weren't able to get to before they started. Nothing but positive things to say about McBride Painting and happy we found them. Thank you McBride ! read more

We highly recommend McBride Painting. The McBride Painting team tackled with ease and safety our three story curved and architecturally challenging home on the hillside. They gave us a great price with the highest quality paints. We are facing the ocean and our last paint job with another painting contractor lasted only 5 years. The owner, Brian McBride, recommended three coats, first an oil base primer to penetrate the chalky existing surface, second elastomeric to help waterproof our curved vertical wood siding and third, a finish coat of the top of the line Sherwin Williams and guaranteed it for 7 years. The owner appreciated our flexibility with the start date but was careful to honor our need to have the job finished by a certain date. We are very pleased with the paint job and appreciated the owner's excellent communication and respectful and courteous team. Tip: Be sure to trim your plants a foot away from your house all around before the painters come. read more

My Husband and I called McBride painting because of the yelp reviews and glad we did. We've worked with many tradesmen on our house remodel these last couple years and Brian was easily the most hard working and honest. Brian and his team were also very professional and easy to get a long with, felt like we've known him for years. When we first spoke to Brian he gave us a fair/competitive estimate and let us know there would be a wait, as there were some customers in front of us. He gave us an approximate date he could start and kept us updated throughout that period, which was very appreciated. Brian also listened to our needs and followed through with great detail from beginning to end. We've already had many compliments our new paint job. Highly recommend and trust McBride painting! read more

Brian painted the inside of my townhouse and he did a fantastic job! He is very professional and not to mention very helpful on helping us choose the right colors. Brian was recommended by a another very satisfied customer, a friend of ours. We couldn't be happier with both our exterior and interior paint. Brian gave great advice on color and even drove me to see another job he had done. While I was unsure of some bold choices I made, Brian was supportive and patient. He and Brad worked around two hurricane surprises and got the work done! And our dog loves him! Don't hesitate to get a quote from him.... super reasonable and responsible! We recently had Brian ,who owns McBride Painting, repaint the outside exterior of our home here in Hawaii Kai , East Honolulu. We are absolutely satisfied with the great job he and his crew did. A real professional who delivered on time and took special care in making sure that there was no clean up on our part. He used top of the line materials .We plan on using him again for painting the interior of our home in the near future. I wish other contractors would give the service he provided. It is rare! I was delighted to find in Kailua a thoroughly professional and meticulous painter like Brian McBride, and can confidently recommend him as a master craftsman who takes pride in his craft. Brian recently painted the interior of my house, and from my first interaction with him, he was impressive. He was recommended by a Handyman for whom I have the highest regard (Brad Stonesifer), who assured me Brian stands behind his work. Brian demonstrated caring and commitment to the job I wanted done and gently walked me through the process, answering all of my many questions patiently, and then accurately matching the existing paint colors. He assured me he only uses the best paint and doesn't cut corners. Brian used a variety of techniques to get the effects I sought and the result looks stunning. Lastly, He works quickly, meticulously, and I must say very neatly. I will use his services again. The man has integrity! read more

Hardworking- talented painter and an all-around nice guy. Went above and beyond after the initial job was complete to help with some touch ups around the house. While McBride painting does a decent job, Brian has no follow thru, and doesn't stand by his word. Last year, he gladly accepted my large and costly job, but never came back to remove over-spray and correct small errors at the end. While believing he was still going to return, I engaged him to do a smaller job for me. He said he would be back by January, but I never heard from him. I contacted him, and he complained that he was super busy. So I said YOU choose a day anytime in the future when it will work for you, which he did, (a couple of months in the future) and we re-scheduled. I patiently wait for the day, so he can remove the overspray, and finally do my job, and Brian is a no-show, without even a call. I think my smaller job just isn't lucrative enough for him, and now after blowing me off twice he isn't even offering to reschedule me. I have wasted SIX months, trusting him. If he never wanted to do it in the first place, why give me a QUOTE and SCHEDULE me TWICE!!!!!?!?! Greedy and disappointing. If I could give him no stars, I would have! I have also registered a complaint with BBB. There were SO many ways he could have resolved this, but the fact that he didn't care to truly concerns me. TERRIBLE customer service. Just an update ....it has been several months and now the PAINT IS STARTING TO PEEL & BUBBLE!!!!. BBB told me that they cannot publish my complaint, because I don't want resolution, since resolution would involve continuing to work with Brian. BEWARE! read more

In my oversight of an office condominium remodel, I hired McBride Painting because of Brian's 20 years of experience painting and the wonderful way he has about himself. My client was very particular and sometimes challenging, but Brian went way above and beyond to insure that he was fully satisfied. I was amazed that during the color selection, without charging any more money, he allowed us to purchase 6 paint samples and he painted them on the wall for us to view just to be sure the color was right! Brain and his team had to paint our walls, special door trim and medallions, crown molding above and some custom base molding made to fit the building's unusual architecture, and painting that without any bleed was particularly challenging. I was surprised at the quality for the price and degree of their hard work - often working late hours to help us catch up on our production schedule. I've hired numerous painters in my time and Brian and his team have thus far been the best. Brian's co-workers were also very professional. I was extremely pleased with my experience and would recommend anyone looking for a great painter or team, Brian and his crew at McBride Painting will take care of you beyond your expectations. read more

I HIGHLY Recommend Brian McBride Painting! I WILL HIRE HIM AGAIN, & already recommended him to my other Ohana members. I called McBride Painting for my mother's home in Kailua! He apologized for running late to the first quote appointment due to another meeting that ran long, and he came over 5 minutes after he called. He was PUNCTUAL ALL other times. The call letting me know what had happened was very PROFESSIONAL & COURTEOUS. After giving me the quote that was VERY reasonable to paint all the ceiling due to water damage. They started 2 days later! This was amazing for me as I was visiting for only 6 days. He did exactly what was asked for and even went above and beyond by adding additional work that my mother wanted. He even helped me out when we got caught in traffic on the H3, we called & he let the plumber in showing him what I wanted! Brian was even extremely KNOWLEDGEABLE about the best paint & repairing drywall damage, including matching the ceiling texturing! He's a PERFECTIONIST & LOVES his job, he said that himself to me and proved it by doing another coat on areas he felt needed to be perfect (I had not noticed even after he pointed it out I could barely see it.). He was METICULOUS in doing the best job & it showed. I WILL HIRE him again to paint the entire house for my mother. Brain was even patient with my 81yo mother as well. He even agreed not to discuss money with my mother, as I was paying him. He had so much aloha, he almost felt like family in the house. What an EXCELLENT JOB & EXPERIENCE! read more

I have employed several painting teams over my 70 years. Brian McBride and Brad are by far the best painters that I have had the pleasure to work with; they are in a class by themselves. There are three reasons for this: (1) they display incomparable painting skills, (2) they use the very best quality primer and paint, (3) they are a joy to be around, very friendly and accommodating and, (4) the price is always surprisingly modest. We have asked them to gradually upgrade the appearance of our house, inside and out. So happy we came across this terrific team. George Smith, Kailua, Hi read more

We just had the entire inside of our home in Kailua painted by McBride Painting and they did an outstanding job. They had painted the outside of our home a couple of years ago, and that was a great job as well, and the exterior paint is holding up nicely, despite being beachside with a large windward exposure. Unlike all too many service providers, they came when promised, stayed on the job until it was finished and performed exactly as requested. We have a very high ceiling in the great room of the house, and they even helped us with some maintenance that could only be accomplished by someone with very long ladders and the skill and willingness to climb them to the top. I would recommend them without qualification. read more

Very professional and knowledgeable. Gave great advice on color selection, and was flexible when I changed my mind (decided the ceiling should be white instead of the same color as the walls). The result looks great! read more
