Fried chicken sandwich was chicken strips...
    Dana K.

Service was great, Mary Ann never let my water cup get under half full. Food came out quickly and tasted good overall for airport food. I deducted 1 star as fried chicken sandwich was just 2 chicken tenders on top of coleslaw on a bun. Just say that on the menu as I would have ordered something else. Fries came out hot & fresh so I thoroughly enjoyed them. My espresso martini was good. Airport pricing and my drink was more than my meal. Worth a stop if you have a gate or delay at the end of the F Terminal.

Breakfast!!!! If you are looking for a good breakfast while waiting for a flight. Hit this place up. Good food, fast service. It hit the spot. Just enough food to fill you up. Stop in, you won't regret it!

Hot fries- the redeeming dish at the Hi-Lo Diner

After 8 hours of weather delYs, we were given a voucher for food, and ended up across the gate at Hi-Lo. I thought a cup of Tomato Bisque and a Caesar Salad were a safe bet. My man ordered a burger. The tomato bisque tastes like straight from the can Campbell soup. Rank. The Caesar salad had old cheese. I have had aged cheese, but never shave cheese so old it was tough and chewey. I ended up getting Hot Fries. They were soooo good. Fresh and delicious. The burger was decent.

Solid diner food at the end of the MSP Terminal 1 Concourse F. It has a 50s diner vibe and is has a good view of all of the F11-16 gates as well as a window where you can see the airplanes parked at F10 and F12. I had the burger advertised on the table placard - I forget the name but it had bacon and an egg and was pretty good. My daughter had chocolate chip pancakes. The service was friendly, the food was good, and it was a great spot to wait for our flight.

We are here for breakfast. The place is just next door to our gate, so we decided to try. The menu has quite some varieties, from hamburger to salad to normal egg breakfast. I ordered their normal egg breakfast, it comes out few mins and it's very well prepared. The hash brown is crispy and tasty, avocado is fresh and egg is cooked just right. Good place to have hot breakfast before the flight.

It's an ok place to stop by if you have time. And I do mean have the time because it took 30 minutes to get one breakfast sandwich and some chips out. In most food industries, that seems reasonable but in the airport, 30 minutes is just way too long. It would be helpful if they gave you an expectation of how long an order would take and I would have happily moved on to a different place Food-wise, it's average. Nothing outstanding, nothing horrible. Breakfast sandwich: the sausage was actually good, as well as the hash browns but the biscuit was the driest biscuit I've ever met. Couldn't even finish it and I do love biscuits. Chips & queso: solid chips - I'm pretty certain they're house made being that it has a subtle seasoning on it that was very good. However, the queso was not great and left a lot to be desired. I don't know if I would even consider it queso. It was supposed to have chorizo but I didn't notice any of that flavor. It definitely just felt like a salty cheese dip. Overall this place was average, just like most airport eateries. If I layover in MSP again, probably would not swing by again.

Food good. Service is friendly but slow. Worth checking out if you are in a long layover or arrived super early but they are a scratch kitchen. Hi Lo is not a suitable option of you have less than an hour before boarding to enjoy your meal.

Stopped in as it was by my gate. Hannah was my server. She did a great job. She answered all my questions and checked on my meal. The Fish basket was very good. Just the amount for travel. I sat at a back corner so I could use my laptop. The atmosphere was nice and a view of the planes. Thank you Hannah for taking care of my order.

Located in the F terminal of the airport, this place serves a limited but good enough menu for lunch and breakfast food. The pancakes had a hint of vanilla and lemon. The location allows a brief respite from the chaos of the terminal as you wait for your flight.

A place that had options/could accommodate vegetarians and this is it! Cute indoor/outdoor seating. The service was ok but the food is worth the wait! Love this spot!

The inside of the bar is pretty small and felt a bit cramped, especially with how busy it was on a Sunday. They do have a back patio that is fairly large, which I appreciated, but during the day it did not feel very inviting. Without lighting or much going on, it came off a bit plain. As for drinks, I tried a non alcoholic half and half with lemonade and iced tea, which I actually really liked. I also had a mojito style cocktail that was not my favorite and tasted a bit too strong for me. The overall vibe just was not really my thing, but I could see it being more fun at night or with a bigger group.

I came in to enjoy some live music with a couple of amazing local bands, and I am absolutely sold. Highlights include: tons of street parking nearby, superior selection of drinks (more on this later), and awesome people. Everyone, from the folks behind the bar to the other patrons, was ultra welcoming. I'm pretty sure this is the neighborhood Cheers. Seriously--amazing vibes, and it's great for solo people. (I realize that might be ambiguous, so what I mean by "great for solo people" is that you won't feel uncomfortable coming here alone. It's easy to chat with people if you want to; it's easy to just enjoy the music if you want to.) Okay, I know you want to hear about the drinks. They have a great selection of beer on tap. They have tons of cocktails, including a selection of barrel-finished cocktails. Not drinking tonight? They have plenty of THC and even a CBD-only option (winning!), along with some non-altering choices that include switchel(!). There's a huge outdoor patio with fire pits that I will probably check out next time. Anyway, this is a great spot!

We sat ourselves and our server came fairly quickly. I had read the reviews saying the service is slow. Do keep that in mind. We had plenty of time and this places wasn't too busy at the time we ate. It appeared to be one, may be two servers on. The ambiance was cool but the bottles in the cases are VERY dusty! The tables also felt a bit sticky. Not dirty, just like a coating is coming off? The food: we got a beer and sangria. Both were excellent and came fairly quickly! We got the smoky wings and those had a nice dry rub on them! The ranch was garlicky and runny (sooo good) The bluesy was cooked well and had a good flavor! The fries were basic. **Traveler beware! We couldn't stop burping after this meal and with all the garlic it smelled gross! Would not recommend if you are getting on a plane super soon! The wings would be safe hahaha. Overall this place is pretty average. If you don't see them busy, they could be worth going in.

Maybe because the real 'Jucy Lucy' is Matt's Bar in Minneapolis and not in St Paul?? I have been to the two famous contenders, Matt's and the 5-8 Club. Both good but Matt's has always been the best IMHO. The Blue Door at MSP is not even close to either of those. The tots were good, the 'Bacon Blucy' burger was fair. Both delivered to the table kind of luke warm+. No worries about scalding melted cheese here. Flavor was OK but little bacon or even bacon flavor. There was no 'condiment caddy' with catsup, mustard, salt/pepper, etc. Diet cola was excellent. My own impression: this is a wannabe but I'm not aware of any history of the Blue Door version of a juicy Lucy. I assume the name is legal since they don't actually call their burger a 'Jucy Lucy'. The Como and Longfellow locations get better ratings. If I had the time and a vehicle I would have gone to Matt's! Besides....the last time I was there I got to sit with Bob Lurtsema!!
