Unbelievable.what a joke. First of all, before you buy a vehicle fom them, ask them, "WHAT EXACTLY DOES YOUR WARRANTY COVER???" And check the car fax. we bought a truck from hi lo autos, went in with $8,000 cash. Told them we couldn't spend over the $8,000. things seemed ok at first, the salesman said no problem, he'd search for us. (we were excited, and just wanted to buy a dependable truck, so my husband could use as a work truck and his regular vehicle, and we didn't see the warning signs. we needed vehicle and agreed without reading the paperwork )
The reason we went there, n the first place, was because of the warranty that they advertise! Six month or 6000 miles warranty.
Well, the first sign that we should of paid attention to, was Dillon, first he was all into helping us find a truck and he would search both locations. After talking to him a bit, we explained we got a settlement and needed a truck now. My husbands former truck, had 400,000 miles on it, and finally conked out. then Dillon said they had no trucks for $8000, but they could see if we could get one financed. We didn't want to go this route. we verbally expressed this to him its not what we want to do, so we're going to go and look at some other dealerships. In the process of being there, And after some persuading on their part, we agreed to try to get the truck financed. They called some banks, and after hours, made it happen. We told them we didn't want to go over ten thousand tops. We were there all day and all evening... we were so tired and just wanted to go home at this point, it was after closing.
The second warning sign we should have paid attention to was when Dillon came out and told us we got approved and Matt was working a deal for us... My husband, being excited, said,"so what kind of deal were you able to get us Dillon?" He kept asking Dillon this and the answer was avoided and brushed off each time. Dillon finally responded with, Matt's working on it now... we were never given a straight answer. So We went back, signed the papers and went home. The next day, after reading, The trucks final price was $16,000! We are paying 23% interest. We were told that they would give us an extended warranty to go along with the truck because of our troubles and time. Facts are.... after reading the paperwork, we are paying for the extended warranty ourselves, it was all included in OUR cost not theirs...slick. Well, their six month warranty and the extended warranty isn't shit and don't mean anything. we had problems from day two... the very next day, the truck stopped running while we were driving. We pulled over, let it rest and it restarted. Took the truck back to hi lo, they said they fixed it, get it home, drive it a few days, and it shuts down again...once again, took it back to hi lo autos, they claimed they fixed it, we went home... a day or so later... it stopped running again. This went on a few more times... not once have we received our paperwork from the repairs done, And we have ask them repeatedly. This went on and on. We had to fight with them to get us a rental car, we had to pay for it out of our pocket. They kept insisting that they had to get our extended warranty approved, before they could repair our truck. After many attempts, they finally agreed to reimburse us $500 toward the rental. after this, the brakes went out. Warranties wouldn't cover the brakes, even though we only had the truck for two months, and the brakes should have passed inspection! We ended having to pay $700.00 for the brake job. It needed a total brake job. To make this long story short. We have had the truck less than six months, maybe only drove it two months out of the 5 1/2. It is in the shop once again, this time at Nissan, for the second time. The first time, we had to pay $250.00 to Nissan for the deductible, when it was still under hi los warranty. The problem is all electrical. Nissan called us today, (they have had the truck for 2 weeks this time, and 3 weeks the first time) told us the truck threw a code, and they know what the problem is, the drive sensor is out. It will be about $500to fix but our extended warranty won't cover it, the truck is still under Hi Lo warranty, my husband called Matt at Hi Lo this evening, and ask Matt how they could help us out, and Matt said they could do no more for us. We have to pay $500 to get our truck fixed, we purchased in March with a warranty, the customer service sucked as far as helping the customer and granting a warranty, they only reimbursed a portion for the cost of the rental, And we have been without a car for 70+ days. We paid $700.00 for a brake job, $250 deductible, $175 was out of pocket for a rental, total of $1625.00, and We are paying $6,000 over the amount we wanted. we wouldn't been able to afford the extra cost without my settlement. And guess what? My husband is still without a vehical, 5months later. We will never buy from you again and will never recommend. read more
