Spent around $200 on tickets & fast pass (because otherwise you'll never get through a line), and the very first ride we went on broke down. We were stuck at the top of a rollercoaster for ten minutes with no explanations, just a quick "sorry" from the teenagers operating the ride. This was terrifying, and I couldn't get myself on another ride and we ended up just leaving, very shaken up. I've reached out to them directly about this a few times now, and they will not tell me what went wrong with the ride, and they haven't offered any way to make up for this. Wonderful place filled with history! We visited off season and had a ball !! We did every attraction/exhibit they offered! I literally loved the creation 4-D experience, it was olfactory smells, interactive almost VR style world. Super magical! The chocolate and shopping was bonus! We enjoyed the burnt brisket end tacos and Mac and cheese. Very family friendly! We did two days one at the amusement park and one at the chocolate tour city. Our daughter is 2 years old and they had a ton of rides for toddlers under 3 feet as well as rollercoasters for the adults and teens! Hard no during Dark Nights Halloween season. Our first ride was 2 hours to wait. The app said 45 mins AND it was so far in the back so we started where we thought people would not be. If you can get the fast track, do it but still have some rides with a wait. Honestly, its just not staffed well and it is too expensive. EVERYTHING had a wait. Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides and attractions. Open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day and weekends in May and September. Unlike some parks that are broken down into separatly purchased tickets for different areas, included in your admission to Hersheypark are 13 roller coasters, access to the Boardwalk at Hersheypark and ZooAmerica, giving you three attractions for the price of one which is an absolute bargain. The price was just unbeatable for a couple on a budget wanting to enjoy a theme park without saving for 7 years. Within Hersheypark I was most excited to meet all the costumed characters. I don't know why, but just the idea of a jolly rancher persona brought me extreme joy. I was thrilled to receive the chance to meet multiple dressed up characters during my time in Hersheypark. The ride I was most looking forward to riding was Candymonium. I had heard through YouTube videos 3pm is a good time to go because the lines are randomly shortest during that time. We decided to check it out during that time and we were glad we took that advice. Making my own chocolate bar was also something I was very interested in doing. My husband and I both decided we wanted to do it so we both got to do it. It's a 2 mile drive through wooded trails with close to 600 if not more illuminated animated displays while you listen to Holiday radio music through iHeartRadio, which I suggest you download before you get into there. I do wish they would let some people know that they could turn off their headlights and just leave their parking lights on so it's easier to tour and enjoy everything. The fact that some people are a little pushy and others a little demanding can't be helped but overall you can't really change anybody else but yourself so when you get involved just be ready to wait getting in and wait getting out but it's definitely worth a visit. I suggest you buy your tickets online as it's much more economical to buy online than on site and the most they allow you to have per car is eight people. Had they figured out an easier way to get in and get out I would've given it a five. As it stands it's a 4.5 and well worth the trip. read more

Took the family to the Dark Nights on a cold Fall weekend. The weather was dry but a bit windy. There were so many people, a lot of the rides were closed, causing the lines on the open ones to be long. Food lines were also very long. Not too many places to get proper food. Hershey is an annual 3-day visit for us with the grandkids. The park is nothing less than amazing. How could it not be when the theme is chocolate! Hershey Milton's story is interesting as well as uplifting. Pros and Cons The park is extremely well maintained, there are rides and attractions for every age group, plenty of food choices (so don't settle for a long line or pick something you aren't excited about, because food is very expensive), parking is $$$$, so buy the pass online, go early especially when it is hot - shade is a commodity, dress accordingly (take advantage of the lockers) and bring your patience (especially for your kids, remember this is complete narvana for them so take a deep breath and try not to yell just because YOU are on overload), don't miss the ride at Chocolate World, it tells a great story. The Boardwalk and water rides are a must, and yes, the lines are long there too. But well worth it. This is where the locker or stroller help, because you need a towel and maybe a change of clothes, there is nothing worse than walking around in wet, shoes and socks. Most importantly, - the park is SAFE. Although you might be excited to go to the next ride, the staff at each one takes safety seriously, which means it seems like forever before they are done checking everything. This is a good thing. You'll also note security personnel and staff everywhere. You can't help but being impressed by the sheer number of Lifeguards, They seem to be rotated quite often and are both trained and alert. ________________________________________________________________________ ***We were at Hershey Park on Tue/Wed/Thu (yes, even the day of the horrific accident at The WAVE). My husband and I decided to splurge on the Hp Go bands yesterday and boy oh boy was it a disappointment! I don't know that I would recommend it! On the first two rides we attempted my band would not work so we went to guest services. After 20 minutes of back and forth, having to pull up my confirmation email three times to share the confirmation number, and the worker walking away from the window and ghosting me, they printed me a new one (I don't understand why they didn't just do this and why it was such a big deal). Then my husband went to scan into a ride and the young man wasn't paying attention and asked him to scan a second time, which of course didn't work and turned red. We had not been on that ride and we explained it had turned green and he missed it, but he still insisted on calling a manager over. On other rides where it actually worked we still had to wait more than 30 minutes when the lines weren't too long because they were only letting a few HP go passes go for every large group of the regular line? There were also rides like "Mixed" listed as having Fast Pass on the app that didn't in person? Also, on Stormrunner, a young lady told us to take the elevator up for the fast pass service which was incorrect? For a service that is three times the cost of Genie experience at Disneyworld, we just expected more but maybe we shouldn't have? We have contacted them via Facebook messenger and were told to visit guest services again... we already did that and it was a bad experience. I would think twice before spending money on this service... also, definitely do NOT get the unlimited version as we didn't even get through all the identified rides once... it would be a total waste. Came for Candycane Lane/Christmas at Hershey. That being said it was very cold and windy. Most of the big rides were closed, understandably. Park hours were 12pm-9pm for our visit. We found most of the rides that were open or were listed as being opened for today were being shut by 5pm. Santa & the Reindeer were by far the best part. I think if you're local to PA and are interested in a pass then coming in the Winter may be a great option for you. I would consider this had there been a more discounted rate for the lessened experience. The chocolate story was fun as well. And you don't need park tickets to do that. read more

Do not waste your time or your money supporting this business. The park is supposed to open at 12 PM and they randomly decide to change the opening time to 5 PM. After we already pre-purchased our tickets and our dining passes. We now have lost more than half of a day at the park. They claim no refunds are allowed and now we basically spend over $300 to look at Christmas lights. When you have terrible customer service like this there is zero need to support this business. Being from out of town I'm genuinely curious as to what they would've done if we had a flight to catch? This is what happens when businesses lose the desire for customer service but, have no fear. They offered five dollars zoo passes. Great place! I've been here several times and loved each and every visit. I loved going here especially when my daughter was a kid. She rode her first roller coaster(Comet) here. Then she became addicted to the thrill :D The water rides and and wave pool are fun. I used to love riding the Roller Soaker back in the day before they removed it. There are plenty of great rides here for all types of thrill seekers. Their Ferris wheel is great as well. I've ate many things while here and it's your typical amusement park foods with a Hershey twist, ha! The chocolate tour is amazing! NO LONGER FAMILY FRIENDLY. I went to the Boardwalk with my grandchildren. Despite the signs stating NO REVEALING BATHING SUITS women were wearing suits that completely exposed their buttocks. Every staff member that I spoke to said that it was allowed and there was nothing that they could do about it. We hadn't been to amusement park in 5-10 years, and this was a blast. We are childless millennials and had a great time riding coasters and playing carnival games. Hershey Park is very fun, you do need to clear a whole day to do the thing, not including the water park. First, the online tickets are the way to go. Buy your admission tickets online, get a parking pass ($20) and then get the meal tickets ($15 per person) that give you a main item, side, and drink. Doing those in advance will help you and speed things up! Bring sunscreen and NO CASH, the park does not accept cash, but they do have some machines where you can put in cash and put money on their card systems. We did the little chocolate tour at the Chocolate World before the park entrance because we were a little early, the lines were long and it's a big money trap with a huge gift store and places you can buy chocolate making experiences. If you want to buy souvenirs, go here EARLY, do not wait to "stop on your way back out" as the line was at least 45 minutes long at 5:00 versus no line at 11 am. The app really helped us see wait times, restaurants, bathrooms and lockers. I LOVED that the lockers near roller coasters were free. We rode the woodens, and the sooper looper, and the log flume (not water park one), played in the arcades all day, won a bunch of claw prizes, loved ski ball and got trapped at a frog launching carnival game for a half hour. It was really fun!!! The costumed characters are out all afternoon in scheduled shifts (again see the app!) The shops are pretty fun. The entire Christmas ornament store was awesome and I loved the Kisses Boutique. We did go to Zoo America from the bridge, but it was fairly underwhelming. The monorail and the "ski lift"-like skyway were both way too short and underwhelming for us as well. Why 4 stars? The staff were inconsistent, they either loved their jobs or seemed dead behind the eyes. Some of them didn't even respond when it was clear we were talking to them or looking them in the eyes. We also had staff be pretty disorganized in the Overlook Food Court which had long check out lines even at 1:30 pm. The signage also was very unclear as to where you could order what items. This place is a blast and we will be back. Wear good shoes because you will be walking. I clocked in at over 15,000 steps and 120 minutes of activity on my watch. They have hills and inclines you'll need to walk up and down and all over, it's a BIG place. read more

Took my family to Hersheypark in June of 2025 for the first time. Overall a nice little park... BUT, let me tell you. OVERPRICED! From the outragous overpriced parking, yes they have a shuttle train, yet it was expensive to park. Cheaper to but parking online, yet then you get a service fee also. Then comes the park. Holy-Crap what an adventure just to buy tickets. To buy them at the gate was stupid price and once again they offer a "deal" online......service fee per ticket, but we were there so we paid the extortion and walked through the gates. Overall the place was clean-ish but so much of the park looked old and in need of paint and upkeep. Very few shows and loooonnnnngggg lines for almost everything, and we went in tge middle of the week. The hours are odd also. Gates open late morning and close early evening. The food and drinks were also overpriced even for park standards. Not sure I will ever return or recommend anyone to go. Cedar Point is a cleaner park with better hours and priced fairer. I have a disability and this park made it as easy as possible for me to be able to ride rides although I can't wait in line for long and have to take constant breaks. There are plenty of places to sit in the shade to rest. Beware there are a bunch of hills in this park though. Even though I have a handicapped parking pass there were none available so make sure you get there early. I didn't rent a scooter but if you need one you probably should go early too. I didn't have a chance to see everything and we didn't do the water park this time around. We will be going back soon. read more

There is lots to do here when the timing is right. Of course all things Chocolate make it better. During the winter months things scale back a little. Parking is $20. I always try to have cash in hand for that. My favorite rollercoaster was the Wildcat. There is something about a wooden coaster. Did I scream my head off, yes, did I enjoy myself... yep. Heading my daughter laugh at me was the best part. There are fans here and there and covered areas in lines for rides. So that is a nice bonus for the summer. There are tours offered. I have not done any of those, but would love to in the future. The park is pretty clean, even the bathrooms. Staff were kind and took their job seriously especially at the rides. read more

Where to start? Signs or lack of them. I get that they want to have everyone use their phone for the digital map but as the app is sucking my phone dry of energy, it doesn't exactly give definitive directions... Just follow the blue line which sometimes veers off course. How about adding a line, "Go to the bumpers cars and down the hill to the left..." Something like a staffer would say. OR just post signs on the property with each zone and list the rides/ main attractions for each. Staff or lack of them - I realize going in August has some challenges as kids working there for the summer go back to school but there was No one cleaning the park, which sends a mixed message that the sweetest park is filthy dirty. Rides - very exciting and is why people come, but when you have someone in a wheelchair, you quickly learn that you still may have to climb stairs if you want to ride that coaster, etc. Again the signage is horrible for the accessibility lines (it reads go to the exit) but you have to sometimes go around the building and then you might get confused because it's the wrong exit line (i.e. we wanted the coaster but ended up in the line for the water ride next to it). And the ride staff could be irritated and lifeless to answer questions. You know I have an example, we wanted to ride the Kissing Tower. We were the second group in line. The girl said, "sit right here" which we did and then proceeded to yell at everyone to continue moving around. After the third or fourth yelling command, instead of coming around the corner and addressing the issue, we got up and moved. As we were leaving, the same woman leaned over to me and said, "I told you to sit there but you didn't listen". Delivery is everything. Thanks, Precious. Food - we liked the chicken tenders, the burgers were a good size but we really liked the Philly cheesesteak and fries in the Boardwalk area. This is my opinion, I would never discourage people from going but as we learned going off-season is very different than facing the large crowds in the peak of summer. Really mismanaged at least on busy days I pulled up at about 10:45 for an 11:00 opening and waited in line for at least half an hour just to get through the front gate even though we already bought tickets and had at qr codes I had bought the fast track unlimited (totally not worth it by the way since it's not worth going on the same ride twice since the wait is so long even with it) and had to wait another 30-40 minutes in line simply to print out the wristbands because the machines to print them barely worked Most of the waits even with having spent $100+/person were still 20-40 minutes and there's no real virtual queue system like at six flags or Disney. Between me and my friend only one of our wristbands even worked consistently. Getting food was a disaster too. The park was totally overloaded at least on 4/18/25. The few coasters I got on were good at least. I'd strongly recommend going there only on quiet days because even spending the big bucks on a fast track only helps so much. At least they let me keep my phone in line with my zippered pockets compared to SFGAd which I suppose is a good thing but perhaps I'm at higher risk of being injured by some careless other patron...? read more

Hershey park has the worst customer service. I understand there's an inclement weather policy. My family and I purchased tickets for 2 days in the Spring when they had a special price. We made plans in August for a weekend and got a Airbnb. The Saturday we went it took us a hour to get into the park due to traffic, paid. 25.00 for parking, walked all the way to the water park, decided to get lunch and waiting for 45 mins. in line, went to get a locker and that was another story, went to go in the wave pool and it was closed after being open, then decided to go to the lazy river and there was a 2 hour wait, then all of a sudden the rides were closed. We never went on anything and decided to leave since we had plans that night. Sunday we went but go on 2 rides with the long wait times. I requested a refund for Saturday since I don't live near Hersheypark and won't be there again by the end of the year and was told "no" and was threatened to be reported for harassment since I was sending emails and trying to get my email to the CEO. If you buy tickets and it's inclement weather, they will take your money and run. Very poor customer service. I will never go or buy Hersheys again. read more
