Visited Hershey with someone who never rode a rollercoaster. Parking: There are no clear parking instructions for handicap parking, so we had to walk pretty far only to get to the front entrance and saw a few handicap parking spots. The day was awesome! There weren't many people in the park, so the lines were short. Candymoniun was the first Rollercoaster we rode and OMG!!! It was awesome!! That 216-foot drop was crazy!!!!! I hadn't rode a coaster in over 20 years, but this brought me back to the excitement!!! We rode the oldest coazter at Hershey Park, the comet, and it was a little jerky! It shook my ponytail loose!! Lol, I had to hold that and my neck for the remainder of the ride. If you're seasoned and / or have hack problems, DO NOT ride!! The games were old school and bright back memories. They have a section for the smaller children and activities like face painting. This is definitely a place to bring your family. Hershey Park offers food and drink packages, and some offerings are unlimited. I would purchase that if you're coming with a family because it could get pricey. The food offered were burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken strips, and pizza. The price and portion didn't add up. It wasn't that good. The lemonade wasn't bad. Suggestion: Pre purchase online your food, drink, and parking. It's so convenient. Overall, the day was good, and I would go back. I hope you have a pleasant experience. read more

Amusement park, tickets you can buy online and get a discount for that along with parking. Good thing is you don't need to select dates/times on general tickets but you do need add-ons to select times (if you want fast track, etc.). Opens at 10a or earlier, you get an hour earlier if you stay at the Hershey Hotel. The night closure is 9p or later depending on the day - check the schedules. They have night tickets only, full-day, two-day, weekday (M-Th summer) and usually don't need to select dates (they're good until end of summer, etc.). Various food packages, too. Rides have varying height requirements. All the best rides (fastest/looping/etc.) require you to be Twizzler height (54-60") or Jolly Rancher (60"+). If you're shorter, Hershey's (48-54"), Reese (42-48), Kisses (36-42) or Miniatures (shorter than 36"). There are whole water park sections and areas you can change into swimsuits and backpack storage all over. Security wasn't bad coming in, line moved at a good clip. Also you get free access to the ZooAmerica animal exhibits. Clean but every once in a while you had people smoking which is not allowed but didn't see any of the staff stop it. Lots of carnival-like games, but the kiosks have a $20 minimum. Pro tip: The lady at the skee ball game by Comet rollercoaster can do $5 cards. Snack and food restaurants like the Chick-fil-A or Nathans or Dippin' Dots, plus generic ones, too. Bumper cars, a back-and-forth looped skyview tram and monorail (single loop) were easier for the little kids and adults to relax. Small versions of many of the rides, too. Rollercoasters vary, I only was able to try a couple, but ride wait times were between 30-45min mostly for the popular ones during the day. Only 10min at the start of the day. Comet was faster and more entertaining than I though it'd be, and smooth for a wooden coaster. Laff Trakk is completely indoors, so much smoother than the outdoor ones and similar to Disney-like (albeit the story isn't as good). Wild Mouse is tough on the neck and back, so better for the kids as it jerks back and forth like a mouse on a track. Speaking of fast track - is it worth it? I don't think for an extra $80-150+ a person / day, either of the options (skip once a day per ride or unlimited) made sense. None of the rides for the most part had separate lines for fast track, it just dumped you into the middle to mid-front part of the lines and still had to wait- lots of complaints at Laff Trakk for instance from the couple behind us with the wristbands and they still had to wait 20-50min a ride... maybe if it was only an extra $25-40 a person? Exit takes you through the Hershey store, of course. Air conditioned so you feel better there than the rest of the park, though they do have water fans and sprinklers all over the park, and reasonable trees and shade here and there. Parking lot was big, but free-for-all parking (not super directed), and a tram that takes you to the front and stops at various parts of the lot. Walk isn't bad though, and Chocolate World is right in the front, too. Overall entertaining for a day but I'm not sure I'd do more than a day of this and a day of the Chocolate World (really 2-3hr there). read more

First time back art Hershey in years and had a great time! Barring the $4.50 bottles of water everything was great. We went on a Sunday so we didnt need the fast pass, didnt wait more than 10 minutes to get on any ride. Totally made up for the $35 dollar parking so we broke about even there. There were enough rides for us to spend about 5 hours in the park. Bonus points for the concert venue being attached we say Janet and Nelly there the night before so got a chance to scope out parking for the day after. Horrible visit last night to Hershey Park. I am a Giant Pass holder. Our passes would not scan from the app. A very kind security guard escorted us to guest services. A different security guard came over and rudely talked down to the security guard that escorted us for leaving his assigned area and removed us from line. We were told to go stand in a different line and wait. We waited for over 45 minutes for help in the second line. The Lady that helped us there was sensational and I cannot enough wonderful things about her. Finally after waiting in line for over 90 minutes we are in the park. We are having a great time until we go to the Wildcat. We are using our one fast pass that is included with our Giant pass to ride our favorite ride. We start to chat with some people in the other line while we were waiting. People from farther ahead are walking out of the line. The other line moved forward and so did ours. Then the other line moved again and again. More people from the fast pass line are walking out of line. I begin to notice that our line is not moving except when people ahead leave the line. We have now been in line close to an hour and the nice people we were chatting with earlier are in line again. They are in line a second time before we have been in once. Their line is moving continuously. Finally we are close enough to see the problem. The young lady manning the line is not letting the fast pass line through. I can see people from the other line go through in giant groups while no one from our side goes through. We waited for close to 90 minutes in the fast pass line and did not yet ride the wild cat. We leave the line and I angrily walk up the exit line. I wait to speak to the girl running the line. She says she is doing her best, she must alternate the lines. I say you are not letting the one line move at all. She rolls her eyes and turns away. She continues to let the other line move through. She lets two people from the fast pass line enter the attraction, the line erupts with cheering. I try to say more but she ignores me. I leave, there is no use in talking when you are being ignored. We try leave and try to ride the candymonium. The ride is closed, the rides stop operating at 10. we waisted close to two hours in line. 3 1/2 hours waisted in your park. We did not get to enter all of the haunted houses. I bought fast passes for those too. Our time was stolen. I have had season passes for over 5 years. I do not see myself getting them again. We had a truly awful and expensive experience. There is so much more to this horrible night but i am tired of typing. read more

Hershey Park has been on my family's amusement park bucket list for the past 5 years. When we arrived, i decided to check the attached app, for wait time. The first thing I noticed was that there was no wait time signs outside the ride, and the app was not reliable at all. My first roller coaster said that it had a 5 minute wait on the app, but I waited in line for 2 hours. When we made it to the top of the line, one of the people in my party were told that they had to remove their glasses (that they cannot see anything without), and return to the back of the cue we were in, that took us about 30 minutes to finish. The signs on the lockers did not share that glasses had to be removed, and she waited in line for 2 hours for nothing. Very disappointing. I also paid quite a lot of money for tickets and food. The food total was around 72 dollars, and the wait was around 30 minutes. The food was subpar at best, and the chicken tenders were a little on the dry side. I was also expecting a little bit more chocolate, as it is hershey land, but there was little to be found. I was only able to ride two thrill rides during my visit to hershey park. Both of the waits were around two hours each, and the rides were fun, but only around 3 minutes each. both of these rides were just okay. Maybe worth a 20-40 minute wait but definitely not the 2 hour wait. I drove around 8 hours for this park, and I was slightly disappointed. My house is only 8 hours from Disney as well, and after this experience, I will definitely be choosing Disney, Universal, or even Dollywood over this park. Our family had a great time visiting Hershey Park. There is a wide range of rides that suited our 3 year old and fun rollercoasters that our oldest enjoyed. The park was clean. It was a bit hilly, not flat which was ok for us but sometimes was hard to drag our wagon around. We visited the zoo part of the park also which was super fun! Our kids love our local zoo and this was a nice break from the rides. Prices for games were reasonable. I recommend downloading the park app, it shows the wait times for rides. If you love roller coasters, you'll love Hersheypark! We went with 5 kids who are all roller coaster maniacs, and had an absolute blast. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought it ranks up there with 6 Flags and all the rest! It was definitely worthwhile to purchase the fast track pass, which allows you to skip the line once at each major ride. We zoomed through and hit all the big ones, and each was tremendously thrilling! Candymonium has a HUGE drop that feels like you're flying as well as 3 or 4 more significant drops. It's a long, immense ride. I LOVE IT! The Great Bear was a blast as well, with your feet hanging down and tons of spirals and 2 loops. We also loved StormRunner, which blasts off from standing in seconds and takes you spinning all around super fast! My one caveat- and the only reason I give this park 4 stars - is that the SkyRush DESTROYED my neck!! This ride is a lawsuit waiting to happen. You're only strapped in from the waist down, so your entire torso and head and neck get whipped around at G-force speeds. 2 of the 6 of us in my party had neck pain afterwards, and I'm thinking about visiting a chiropractor today. Stay away from this one ride, is my advice! ALL the others are fabulous. Other people comment on the food. Who cares about food? I don't go to amusement parks for food, do you? read more

We had so much fun. A park this size, it's important to pack your patience as well as sunscreen for summer months. You need to take advantage of being able to go in for preview (2 hours before the park closes - so be sure to know what time that is or you will find yourself in a bad situation the next day!!!!) Pay attention to signage for parking (are you going to Chocolate World or the Park? Those are different parking lots so pay attention to the signs!). If you have big coaster riders, consider doing the Fast Track for them. Especially in the summer. Now - it's important to understand this does not skip you right to the front at the station. It just gets you close to a merge point where you then join the regular queue line. But if used correctly, you can get a lot of riding in. Remember to be friendly. I hate that this needs stated, but too many times yesterday, especially when the rides closed for weather in the area, people were mean. Nobody likes to have their day closed down, but please remember it's about safety first. And the final bit of advice is to slow down and just enjoy the family. The park overall is fine. Lots of options for rides. My low score has to do with the food options and the app. We found that the app is completely unreliable. For example, we walked across the entire park for Chickie's and Pete's, since it's one of a few places that had a protein option. The app said it was open, and they had already closed by 7 pm. The park doesn't close until 8, and there's no sign indicating any operating hours. An hour later, the app still hasn't updated that it's closed. We also found other inconsistencies with wait times and other snack/food places not being updated on the app. Lots of room for improvement! read more

Spent around $200 on tickets & fast pass (because otherwise you'll never get through a line), and the very first ride we went on broke down. We were stuck at the top of a rollercoaster for ten minutes with no explanations, just a quick "sorry" from the teenagers operating the ride. This was terrifying, and I couldn't get myself on another ride and we ended up just leaving, very shaken up. I've reached out to them directly about this a few times now, and they will not tell me what went wrong with the ride, and they haven't offered any way to make up for this. It was nice experience. Even though I am not a really young person but I still could find something for enjoying in the park. Anyway, this place might be more fun for a group activity (especially kids/teenagers) but at least there are a few things for people as my age. Many kind of rides for different age groups. As for food vendors around the park, not many as I expected but they are good choices. (mostly sandwiches, hotdogs, bugers) A lot of restroom areas, that was so nice. The park seem pretty big but not too huge to take a walk. Even though it was an outdoor theme park but it was quite shady and clean. I went there (include Hershey's Chocolate world where is close each other) in the weekend, it was quite crowded but they organized situation very well, enough rooms, benches, seats, tables for resting/eating/sitting. Parking lots area (not free) needs a 5-10 minutes walk but they provide free ride to entrance gates. Hershey's Park app. for the cell phone is a good idea for tourists to download while visiting the park, very helpful. I think 1 day tour it was ok but if you want to try all rides and do more activities (zoo, water park, museums) suggest to take at least 2 days. read more

Hersheypark is a sweet amusement park, and not just in the food, though that is definitely noteworthy as that is a flaw of many other amusement parks. They have some amazing roller coasters, including the fast, crazy, and airtime-filled Wildcat's Revenge and Skyrush, the lesser but still airtime-filled and fun Candymonium, the classic Comet and Sooperdooperlooper, and the underrated Lightning Racer hidden behind the waterpark. Additionally, Hersheypark has tons of other things for you, including flat rides like the Kissing Tower and the Hershey Triple Tower. And, when the park is closed, you can head over to Hershey's Chocolate World next door for the free chocolate tour ride. And it wouldn't be Hersheypark if I didn't mention the sweet sweet food. Hersheypark has tons of places in-park to pick up sweets, and it's hard to go wrong there. But if you want something more substantial, you've got to go to the Chocolatier. However, you will need to make a reservation to eat there, but, as long as the park isn't too busy, you should be able to make your reservation on the same day as your visit. Additionally, there are many other aspects of Hersheypark that I cannot touch upon, as I did not have time to do. This includes the included waterpark and the included zoo. In short, Hersheypark is an amazing park, and, with all the fun things to do, I cannot see how you can have a bad day here. read more

Hershey Park's Christmas Candylane is the perfect opportuniyt to enjoy the Christmas season and still enjoy the park attractions. The number of rides is reduced but they still have a good selection available. Fastpass is also available to an add on sale if you want to skip the lines especially on the coasters. Hershey Park is now cashless. It is also "map less." If you want to know where you are or see where you are going then download the Hershey Park app or take a picture of the park map hanging in various locations in the park. A statue of Milton Hershey adorns the centerpiece of the park. The walk around the park can be hilly but it does level off. Most of your eating venues are outside dining but if you prefer to eat inside then take your luck on getting a seat at Chick Fil-A or dine in one of their sit down restaurants. The thing I enjoyed most about this visit was seeing the sponsored Christmas trees all all the Boardwalk. Some of them were uniquely adorned and somewhat clever. It's definitely a must see if you are here. Holiday themed lights are scattereed throughout the park and dusk is probably the best time to see them. While visiting check out the live reindeer in the barn area. You may run across your favorite. Santa is located elsewhere. I ended up riding three attractions-Wild mouse, train, and Hershey's kiss viewing tower. The first was a bit too wild for me but I enjoyed the other two. Holiday snacks abound and you cannot go without getting your fill of their delicious hot chocolate! We did not see any of the Hershey's characters but I wasn't looking for them. Your ticket can be handstamped if you want to leave and return. You can exit to next door Chocolate World. If you are a guest of the Hershey resorts then complimentary door to door shuttle service is nearby so you don't have to fool with parking or parking fees. Since we were staying at the Hotel Hershey, that is the route we took. Zoo American also sits next door for an additional fee. The summer attractions such as the waterpark were closed but there still is enough to see and do without them. This is a great alternative to celebrating a Christmas wonderland. At Hershey expect amusement park prices. That's all I'll say. Nathan's Hotdogs are the best. Here having a location was smart. I liked the all beef frank. Plus the fries and soda restored electrolytes. There's a lot of tables in the area. As long as you don't hit it during prime time, you should be able to find one. The staff here are helpful and efficient. I've always enjoyed Nathan's, and this one works well. A great day at Hershey, and if here, this should suffice. read more

The park was super easy to find! Parking was a breeze! The park itself was quite a bit smaller than the average amusement park, in my opinion. Several of the rides were ones that you'd find at a state or county fair, not necessarily a larger amusement park. It did have a handful of good rides, though. The wait times were not bad at all, but I was there on a weekday in early June. Not being from the area, I was unaware that the local middle schools had concerts/competitions at the park's venue and when the kids were NOT actually performing -- they were free to enjoy the park.... I happened to choose THE day that all of the competitions were happening which led to quite an influx of middle-school aged kids in every inch of the park. There were shows available, like most amusement parks, but I didn't partake in any of those. I would assume that they were all fun and informative. There were plenty of food choices throughout the park, both healthy and not-so healthy. The lines seemed to be eternally long in all of those locations.... Both self-service & staff-served. There were even a few breweries to choose from, as well! If you have time the same day to visit Zoo America, do it. It's part of the cost for Hershey park... but that isn't advertised to those who aren't locals. It's absolutely NOT worth paying for it separately on a different day! Not even close to a 'normal' size zoo with large animals.... This one is mostly reptiles, birds, and other small animals. The shopping at the Hershey store is a MUST before you leave the park! Not too far from Hershey's Chocolate World was Hersheypark. I was definitely excited to check this place out! My significant other and I first stopped at the Ticketing building. I purchased a Regular 1-Day Admission ticket for $86.95. The first ride we tried out was Trailblazer. The line wasn't too long. I enjoyed how calm the ride was. It wasn't really thrilling or long, but it was a good one to start off with. After that ride, we were hungry, so we decided to try Spring Creek Smokehouse. Luckily, there wasn't a long wait to order. We ended up ordering a Fountain Beverage for 5.79 and Ribs for 15.79. The Ribs were ready fast. After we were handed them, we filled the Fountain Beverage with diet pepsi. We found a nearby table to sit at. The Fountain Beverage was pretty good, but not worth the price. The Ribs were okay at first, but quickly became tiresome to eat. I didn't really enjoy my visit to Spring Creek Smokehouse. We stood in line for Comet and it didn't take too long to get on. This ride felt like a classic to me. The first drop was excellent! It did feel like a long ride. I thought it was great. I would definitely ride it again. Skyrush was our last ride and to be honest, I was glad it was. The line was short and we loaded on fairly fast. It swiftly moved us up to the top. That added to the fear factor to me. Skyrush was intense! I wanted to go to sleep after I got off. It was a great ride, but it just about wiped me out. I was surprised on how clean the park appeared to be. It felt nice to roam around a place that was close to spotless. The service throughout my time here was solid. I had no issues in that category. I enjoyed my time here, so I ended up going back to the Ticketing building to upgrade my ticket to a 24 Bite Size Season Pass for $81.00. In my opinion, it was worth the upgrade. Wonderful place filled with history! We visited off season and had a ball !! We did every attraction/exhibit they offered! I literally loved the creation 4-D experience, it was olfactory smells, interactive almost VR style world. Super magical! The chocolate and shopping was bonus! We enjoyed the burnt brisket end tacos and Mac and cheese. Very family friendly! We did two days one at the amusement park and one at the chocolate tour city. Our daughter is 2 years old and they had a ton of rides for toddlers under 3 feet as well as rollercoasters for the adults and teens! Hard no during Dark Nights Halloween season. Our first ride was 2 hours to wait. The app said 45 mins AND it was so far in the back so we started where we thought people would not be. If you can get the fast track, do it but still have some rides with a wait. Honestly, its just not staffed well and it is too expensive. EVERYTHING had a wait. EVERY RIDE, EVERY FOOD STAND, even the STORES to get in. We came in at 2, left at 730 because the wait was horrible. Total rides: 3. It was well past over sold. The crowds were unreal. Hershey is an annual 3-day visit for us with the grandkids. The park is nothing less than amazing. How could it not be when the theme is chocolate! Hershey Milton's story is interesting as well as uplifting. Pros and Cons The park is extremely well maintained, there are rides and attractions for every age group, plenty of food choices (so don't settle for a long line or pick something you aren't excited about, because food is very expensive), parking is $$$$, so buy the pass online, go early especially when it is hot - shade is a commodity, dress accordingly (take advantage of the lockers) and bring your patience (especially for your kids, remember this is complete narvana for them so take a deep breath and try not to yell just because YOU are on overload), don't miss the ride at Chocolate World, it tells a great story. The Boardwalk and water rides are a must, and yes, the lines are long there too. But well worth it. This is where the locker or stroller help, because you need a towel and maybe a change of clothes, there is nothing worse than walking around in wet, shoes and socks. Most importantly, - the park is SAFE. Although you might be excited to go to the next ride, the staff at each one takes safety seriously, which means it seems like forever before they are done checking everything. This is a good thing. You'll also note security personnel and staff everywhere. You can't help but being impressed by the sheer number of Lifeguards, They seem to be rotated quite often and are both trained and alert. ________________________________________________________________________ ***We were at Hershey Park on Tue/Wed/Thu (yes, even the day of the horrific accident at The WAVE). But as someone who's grandkids kids spent a lot of time in the Wave Pool, I was a little shocked to see that less than 20% of the kids in the water had a parent in the water or even watching close enough to make a difference if something happened. read more

My husband and I decided to splurge on the Hp Go bands yesterday and boy oh boy was it a disappointment! I don't know that I would recommend it! On the first two rides we attempted my band would not work so we went to guest services. After 20 minutes of back and forth, having to pull up my confirmation email three times to share the confirmation number, and the worker walking away from the window and ghosting me, they printed me a new one (I don't understand why they didn't just do this and why it was such a big deal). Then my husband went to scan into a ride and the young man wasn't paying attention and asked him to scan a second time, which of course didn't work and turned red. We had not been on that ride and we explained it had turned green and he missed it, but he still insisted on calling a manager over. On other rides where it actually worked we still had to wait more than 30 minutes when the lines weren't too long because they were only letting a few HP go passes go for every large group of the regular line? There were also rides like "Mixed" listed as having Fast Pass on the app that didn't in person? Also, on Stormrunner, a young lady told us to take the elevator up for the fast pass service which was incorrect? For a service that is three times the cost of Genie experience at Disneyworld, we just expected more but maybe we shouldn't have? We have contacted them via Facebook messenger and were told to visit guest services again... we already did that and it was a bad experience. I would think twice before spending money on this service... also, definitely do NOT get the unlimited version as we didn't even get through all the identified rides once... it would be a total waste. It's a 2 mile drive through wooded trails with close to 600 if not more illuminated animated displays while you listen to Holiday radio music through iHeartRadio, which I suggest you download before you get into there. I do wish they would let some people know that they could turn off their headlights and just leave their parking lights on so it's easier to tour and enjoy everything. The fact that some people are a little pushy and others a little demanding can't be helped but overall you can't really change anybody else but yourself so when you get involved just be ready to wait getting in and wait getting out but it's definitely worth a visit. I suggest you buy your tickets online as it's much more economical to buy online than on site and the most they allow you to have per car is eight people. Had they figured out an easier way to get in and get out I would've given it a five. As it stands it's a 4.5 and well worth the trip. read more

Came for Candycane Lane/Christmas at Hershey. That being said it was very cold and windy. Most of the big rides were closed, understandably. Park hours were 12pm-9pm for our visit. We found most of the rides that were open or were listed as being opened for today were being shut by 5pm. Santa & the Reindeer were by far the best part. I think if you're local to PA and are interested in a pass then coming in the Winter may be a great option for you. I would consider this had there been a more discounted rate for the lessened experience. The chocolate story was fun as well. And you don't need park tickets to do that. read more

Do not waste your time or your money supporting this business. The park is supposed to open at 12 PM and they randomly decide to change the opening time to 5 PM. After we already pre-purchased our tickets and our dining passes. We now have lost more than half of a day at the park. They claim no refunds are allowed and now we basically spend over $300 to look at Christmas lights. When you have terrible customer service like this there is zero need to support this business. Being from out of town I'm genuinely curious as to what they would've done if we had a flight to catch? This is what happens when businesses lose the desire for customer service but, have no fear. They offered five dollars zoo passes. So glad they are willing to give us a discount to spend even more money should've known better than to leave Florida and the wonderful amusement parks there to come up to this nonsense. read more

Took the family to the Dark Nights on a cold Fall weekend. The weather was dry but a bit windy. There were so many people, a lot of the rides were closed, causing the lines on the open ones to be long. Food lines were also very long. Not too many places to get proper food. We didn't bother to stay for the Dark Nights. The experience could've been better. read more
