I came here with my buddy and his friend and his kid. Most of us are middle-aged and just wanted to have a good day and check out the Halloween stuff that they had. It was a really nice Saturday and October and it was super crowded. I guess I kind of expected it to be but most of our rides and haunted houses to take over an hour. This was our first time coming here. We bought the two day pass. If you are looking for a Disneyworld experience, this is not for you. They have clearly not trained their staff well. We went to a spot that sold hot dogs and the young people working the stand had no idea how to multi task. One guy was doing the drinks and he slowly grabbed a cup and then slowly put the ice in and then would look around and then put the soda in and then had to put the lid on. I told him he had a line and that he needed to pick up the pace. The girl looked at me and said ya. . The "early entrance perk" for those staying on property does not mean early entrance on every ride including roller coasters. Only a handful of rides were open and the ones that matter were not. When we asked why not, they just said some will open soon but gave no times. My husband wanted to take our grandson on the cup fusion ride and we got in the park early to find it was not open. He went to walk back thru the fast track area and there was a puddle of water and he slipped on it and fell. When he found one of the "kids" inside and told them they once again seemed not very concerned. He said "you need someone to mop that up right away" and they said ok. We watched for awhile and nobody ever came. Lawsuit waiting to happen? Fortunately he was not hurt bad but his ankle did hurt. The guy at Customer Service was a smart #$$. He truly cared less and when my husband asked if they could comp him for a scooter for the day, he said nope. Those are from a third party outside the park. No offering fast passes or saying I'm so sorry what can we do for you. He once again told them they need to get someone to mop it up before anyone else falls and seemed irritated. Truly not the way Disney would have handled this. Prices for food and drinks are high. $4.50 for a bottle of water. The French fry's at the hot dog place were ridiculously small for what they charged. And when our party got in line for that Cup Fusion ride it was super slow. It's a continuous ride so how is it they can't get people on quickly. You definitely need to train the staff how to get those rides filled and moving. Overall, we were disappointed with the lack of caring for the people there to have a great time. read more

So I am not an amusment park fan by any means sadly cause I hate roller coasters. But to my surprised this park has a great a variety of non dollar coster stuff! I can't be more grateful that this amazing amusement park is located in Hershey! There are tons of fun rides for all heights, ages and abilities. There is inside the park, food, drinks, and even a waterpark! With thrill rides and little ones, this park is fit for anyone at any time. Their hours are very great and the season passholders get some extra perks, like some of them have free food and drinks! Some of them get sweet start which means that they get to go into the park at 9 o'clock instead of when it opens for everyone at 10! Could be a great park but the layout is terrible and food prices are outrageous. Family of four and we spent $73 at Chick-fil-A on one meal for each of us as they do not offer kids meals. Do not go on a Saturday as it's unbearably crowded. Ride workers had no pep in their step and took forever turning over rides. We waited 30 minutes for a kids mini Himalayan ride and the line wasn't even long. The lazy river wait was about an hour. The wave pool was shoulder to shoulder with people with absolutely no where to sit or even put your stuff down unless you got there the minute it opened. The locker room was a whole other nightmare. You can get barely get to your locker half the time bc there are sooo many people and many who take way too long at their locker doing all the things. I was happy we at least had discounted tickets or I would have been so upset if we paid full price. read more

Had an absolute amazing time with my two teenage children. Growing up in southern California this brought me back to my childhood and all the visits to Six Flags Magic Mountain. These roller coasters here are no joke. I highly recommend getting a fast pass. Half the rides are down or not open at HersheyPark. Don't waste your money. Our family has learned their lesson.

Our family has made a few trips to Hersheypark over the years, and it continues to be a favorite--especially for our 4.5-year-old twins. The kiddie rides are perfect for their age group, and watching their joy as they go from ride to ride makes it all worth it. The park is clean, well-organized, and generally very family-friendly, which keeps us coming back. The character photo ops are always a hit--we've got a whole gallery of hugs with Reese's and Hershey bars. The trivia show, on the other hand, is a little too much of a sales pitch for our taste. We get it--it's Hershey--but it could use a little more charm and a little less commercial. We're a bit torn on the candy-themed everything. Yes, the kids are obsessed, but as parents we sometimes wish it was dialed back just a touch. That said, the branding is part of the experience, and it certainly keeps things on theme. The Hotel Hershey, right across from the park, is spectacular. We've stayed multiple times and love how it manages to be elegant while still being welcoming to young kids. It's got that classic charm and feels like a true escape after a busy day at the park. We usually wrap up our visits with a meal at The Chocolatier Restaurant + Bar, right at the edge of the park. It's fun, themed (yes, chocolate in almost everything!), and the servers are fantastic with kids. My partner thinks the chocolate in every dish might be a bit much, but overall, it's a great spot to refuel before heading home. In all, Hersheypark makes for a reliably fun, family-forward getaway. It may be a bit sweet in more ways than one, but that's kind of the point. read more

Wow. Absolutely impressed with our experience. Hands down the most accommodating, kindest, best run, cleanest amusement park I've ever been to. It's so stressful trying to bring young neurodivergent kiddos anywhere, much less a very overstimulating amusement park but WOW did they do everything right. The preview passes, disability passes, sensory areas, kind, patient, and clearly well sensitivity trained staff. To say it was impressive and the best experience we could've asked for is an understatement. Everything was so easy and smooth. Buying tickets. Using preview pass. Getting and using disability pass. Using the app. Buying things within the park. All so smooth. Everything was a well oiled machine. Long lines even went quickly in shops. Special shout-out to a few people who made our experience even better: there was a super super sweet gentleman on 8/19 who helped us get our wagon on and off the trolly smoothly and made the process feel easy with his kindness. Then on the way back on the trolley at the end of the day, there was a sweet lady dealing with a lot of impatient people who saw us struggling and though she didn't have the ability to speed up the process for anyone, she was so kind empathizing with our situation and bringing kindness to a stressful situation, sharing her own stories. The face painter who mentioned wanting to be a pediatric nurse was also incredible and so patient and sweet with our squirmy kids; redoing their faces a second time. While we're not big amusement park people, we'd make that 6 hour trip again any time we wanted to go to an amusement park again, just based on how we were treated and how smooth everything was. Thank you Hershey for making us Hershey Happy! Edit to add: for a 4&6 yr old there were still so many rides and activities that took up our whole day. We could've easily spent a few days. I started this experience online purchasing a family pack for $220.00. It included 4 tickets and a parking pass. I had everything loaded on my phone to show when we arrived. The park opened at 10am but, we didn't arrive until about 1030am. As we drove up they did have separate entrance to the left for drivers that were handicapped. Showed our parking ticket and went to park. The actual handicapped spots were all filled but, there was still other room on the lot that allowed us to park not so far away. All they had to do was scan my mobile ticket for entry. It was time to have fun with my son, 2 grandsons, a friend and her daughter. Our first ride was the merry go round. My son didn't even entertain that. Lol. Funny thing was because my youngest grandson and I are so short( I'm on 5 feet even) when it was time to get off the horses we needed assistance. How embarrassing. Lol. Any we proceeded and continued to have fun. This park is so huge. I can see why they offer a two day pass. We played games and ate delicious food. There were many food options. The pool was crowded. I didn't get in. But, the rest of my party did. I was sitting in the sun waiting for them to return. However, I had my eye on a shaded spot. When someone moved, I relocated in the shade. After they had fun in the pool we went to the zoo. There were not a lot of animals but, it was just enough. We didn't have to pay separately for the zoo because it too was included in the package. After the zoo we went into the arcade. We all had a fun filled day at Hershey Park. We left about 830pm. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Upon arrival at the park, the restrooms were the dirtiest I have ever seen. I will say that when I pointed it out to one of the employees that he took immediate action. Near the Cafe 1906, it smelled so bad of urine that we wouldn't consider eating there. Food looked good but hard to find anything appetizing with such a pungent smell of urine. The 2025 souvenir mug that you can refill by scanning was not worth it. Paid around $25 for a cup we kept water in and the water dispensers at the first one near the carousel had no nozzles on them so you were sprayed with water trying to fill your cup. Ordered lemonade and went to the Cafe 1906 to find some napkins and the two dispensers were out. I went to find an employee and instead of a "let's go see if we have any napkins anywhere else," gave me a gruff "let me look." Customer service smelled as bad as the urine scent at that restaurant. There was much lacking from the experience. We just left. It was dirty and the rudeness of more than just a few employees was enough. Milton Hershey would have a fit if he knew how his name is used today and how commercial everything has gotten to the point that the people are the last consideration. No military discounts were available at the park (not that we always expect them), but seemed like they were trying to get every penny they could from you before you leave. Not happy and highly disappointed after such a wonderful time at the Hershey's Chocolate World. Perhaps the manager there could train the employees at Hersheypark... Disappointed. Always a good time at Hersheypark -- that part never changes. This particular trip, though, could have easily been a 5-star visit but a few things knocked it down. Several rides were only running one side when they typically run two, which meant longer wait times across the board. We were told it was a staffing issue, but the signs on the rides said waiting for parts or under repair. Pick a story and stick with it, Hersheypark. There was also an incident on one of the rides where a patron jumped the line, which caused a wave of confusion and frustration among everyone waiting. The young teenage attendant on duty genuinely didn't know how to handle it beyond apologizing, and you could tell they needed more support and better training for situations like that. The park itself is still great and I'll absolutely be back, but management needs to tighten things up on the operational and staffing side. read more

This theme park is on the smaller side, but it's got a good collection of fun coasters, some arcade games, classic overpriced theme park foods. Outside of the park is a huge Hershey store with all sorts of merch and chocolate/candy, even some rare flavors that might be unique to the park! You can make your own Hershey chocolate bar for ~$30/person and see the history of Hershey for free amongst other attractions. The candy is pretty well-priced if you buy the large boxes, so if you're a chocolate lover you might as well stock up here! We came in November, so a lot of the rides were closed. Because of this, the park was largely empty and we waited ~10min for each ride. Definitely worth it to come this time of year if you don't mind some rides being closed. read more

Hersheypark was fun! Most rides were great, since there are 15 roller coasters there are ups and downs like the amazing Sky Rush and Storm Runner but there are also some bad rides like Lightning Racers which was quite bumpy. Thrill rides worth waiting for include Sky Rush, Storm Runner, Candymonium, and Fahrenheit. Dining wise I ate at Chick Fil A which was amazing as usual but it is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. I also had ice cream at the chocolate world which was delicious and worth the 5 minute walk from the park. Overall the park was fun but more of a destination for thrill seekers. We went here once and never again Something must be I. The water in PA -- where all the teenagers that work at the park are useless and dumb. I mean really dumb. The kids working the parking lot couldn't give directions, the food lines were an hour plus-- how hard is it to flip burgers? The overall attitude of any of the employees was I dint know or I don't care-- and thru have the Gaul to unionize-- they are lucky to have jobs that they do not do well. Some of the bigger roller coaster hurt the lap bar dug into your skin and did not feel safe staff did not do a good job making sure people were strapped in. This is a run down dated amusement park that needs to be out of its misery. Shit this place down. read more

My wife, 16-year old daughter, and I spent the evening of June 7th and all day June 8th at Hershey Park. This was the third of four amusement parks we visited during our trip and was the least enjoyable of them all. The rides themselves were good for the most part, but some were overhyped (SooperDooperLooper - even with a Fast Track ticket we waited over an hour because they only had one train running, and the ride was nearly boring). The bigger issue was staff was disorganized and didn't keep things moving smoothly in the queues. There was also no communication about the need to exchange the Fast Track digital "tickets" to wristbands, causing us to lose a significant amount of time having to find a kiosk to obtain them (and the one we found wasn't scanning the barcode properly, requiring manual entry of the number). Our biggest complain, however, was the general condition of the park: dirty. The queues and rides were in desperate need of cleaning and maintenance. After visiting Silver Dollar City and Dollywood - both of which were immaculate - it was a pretty stark difference. Unless we happen to be in the Hershey area for something else, we will not be visiting Hershey Park again. read more

It's a fun park with a lot of rides and food places. It's nice that the water park and rollercoasters are in one park as opposed to being split in two. A few cons: - Not enough merc shops, just one big one at the entrance - not enough shade during hot days And the biggest con is: - NOT big people friendly. I've always been a little hefty around the edges and NEVER had an issue at any theme park. But the seats on these rides aren't inclusive. For the FIRST time in my life I experienced having two people trying to push down the safety rail on the seat and being told I don't fit. It's embarrassing and disappointing. I'm glad I got to visit Hersheypark but I will not be coming to visit again. read more

I came here with a group of friends and we did end up spending a lot of money. Parking itself is about $25. We managed to grab their BOGO ticket offer online so each ticket was about $50 a person. Food was really pricey at the park. A plain Nathan's hotdog was $7, but I guess that's expected. Our ticket covered both the amusement park and the waterpark, which is called The Boardwalk. We also ended up getting the Fast Pass for the amusement park, which was an extra $83. Although quite expensive, I do believe it's necessary because the lines for all these rides were extremely long and we came here on a Monday in June (before most schools end). The waterpark is a bit smaller with only a few rides, but it's mostly geared towards younger kids. read more

Extremely underrated and overshadowed by Six Flags, Disney and the countless other seemingly more "popular" amusement parks, Hersheypark and Chocolate World should be on your list of must visit theme parks! There are plenty of rides for the young kids, plenty of roller coasters for the older kids, a big waterpark for both and plenty of fun to go around for all here. I've been to Hersheypark a few times in my much, much younger years, but I definitely saw it from a whole new perspective as a parent my last go around. We bought a 2 day pass to the park (1 day for water play and 1 day to go on all of the dry rides) and our kids had an absolute blasssst - so much so that they knocked out half way through each day, which thankfully gave us some reprieve through this deceptively large park. Even though we came on a Thursday and Friday, the park was pacccccked like a weekend because it was the summer after all. I won't go into detail about every single ride, but, like I said earlier, there are way more rides here than I remember when I visited in the past - probably because I put more focus on the kiddie rides this time around. As you can imagine, there is a chocolate theme all around the park and if you're into taking pictures with Hershey characters (e.g. Hershey Kiss, Reeses, Jolly Rancher) they come out during certain parts of the day, so definitely look out for them. As for food, there are many food options inside, but, to no one's surprise, most do revolve around fast food (e.g. burgers, chicken tenders, fries) - which I'm sure your kids will love. If you're looking to save a few bucks, I do highly recommend getting the single meal dining pass, as it typically makes your meal of an entree + side + drink a little bit less expensive. HOWEVER, although the rules state that you cannot bring in any open bottled beverages, security never opened any of our soft-sided cooler bags to check on either day we went. Although it's no Disney in sheer space and size, it can still be exhausting trekking around the park with your kids here, especially on a hot, summer day, so be prepared. AND, just a note, if rides are closed for more than 1 hour (which happened on both days we were there), you can go to Guest Services by the entrance and redeem a return voucher for any day within the calendar year! read more

Had a blast today at Hersheypark! The amusement park is filled with lots of fun rides and attractions (ie: rollercoasters, waterpark, arcades, zoo). It also includes lots of gift shops with plenty of souvenirs, Hershey themed candies, and a unique Hershey Chocolate Tour. In addition, there are many places you can eat in the park, from hot food to desserts! Some important points to mention: - Try to wait for a ticket promotion/discount; I got a BOGO free ticket deal which was great - I'd recommend buying parking online because it's cheaper than buying it in person - Buying the photo pass/album is worth it because you'll get all the rollercoaster and park op pictures on your phone - The chocolate food tour photo is not included in the photo pass/album package; it is a separate cost which was upsetting - The park allows outside food and drinks - The lockers are not transferable meaning: the station you rent a locker at is the only locker station you can access to place your belongings in, despite the other lockers placed throughout the park! That part really frustrated me because you can only access your items in a certain part of the park The staff was also very friendly and helpful! Overall, I had an exhilarating and fun time at Hersheypark! It is a great amusement park that is kid, adult, and family oriented. I would definitely go back again and recommend others to experience this park as well! read more

I had an extremely poor experience with Guest Services, specially the director Matt La Riccia. I am a season pass holder who was trying to register my 3 year old for a pre-K pass. I live 4 hours away & was trying to see if I could register her online/via email before the 8/31 deadline. I called & was told to email. After emailing I was denied my request & was emailed by Matt being extremely rude. I emailed him back several times asking why registering my child BEFORE the deadline online or via the phone is against their policy. Or asking if I could just have an extension for when I visit in September but I guess Matt never deemed it important enough to deign a response. The kids had an absolute blast, which in itself is cool. The wait for our first roller coaster was over an hour, which seemed excessive since the park wasn't that full on our visit. Thank goodness, the rest of the rides were more reasonable in this regard. The park maps and navigation system could've been more helpful. Our kids wandered around looking for this ride or that, occasionally being frustrated by the lack of clear signage. The parking shuttles made a terrible first impression, with diesel exhaust enveloping all the riders the entire ride to the amusement park and back, You'd think a family-themed attraction would put some kind of emissions-reducing technology on their vehicles! The overpowering smell was nauseating, so of course now I think of that when I smell chocolate. (Hoping that passes quickly!) The refillable drink cup ($23.99) seems like a good idea, except for the fact that really taking advantage of that would cause a conflict when it came to waiting on lines. (Do I head to the restroom or try to hold it?) The overpriced food was disappointing. Overall, it was a fun day. read more

Went on a Monday stayed 11-9p (waited at the gate from 1030ish due to NOT having early season pass access) the longest wait was 30 minutes and didn't need a fast track pass, but we HUSTLE through the park. Strictly stuck to the adult/family rides and was able to complete 15 roller coasters and rides. Food was decent price ($~50 for 2 ppl for two meals/sides for the day). You can get FREE water from drink stations without having to pay for drinks or a cup **Didn't visit the water park or zoo. WP was CROWDED with kids, not my preference, so I stayed away. ZooAmerica was strictly an aerial view with the monorail and skyline ride as I've seen all these animals before and wanted a strict park experience Beautifully depicted statue of Milton Hershey in the beginning of the park. Visited Hershey Park after watching documentaries of how he truly changed the world of chocolate . There is a TV series called "The food that built America" and there is an episode of this historical family feud between the chocolate line. read more

The Christmas decor was so nicely placed throughout the park and the hot chocolate was so delicious! Yes, yes, and yes. I underestimated this park so much and I am in love. If you like roller coasters this is the place to be. We had a fast pass so we didn't wait long but majority of the lines weren't too bad. Note this is in April. The grounds were clean and the employees were super nice. They ensure you are safely in your ride seat before taking off. With good though too because these are some of the fastest coasters around. Food was reasonable but not on the top of my list. Ample parking and a tram if you parked too far. We ended up staying the whole day because of how big the park is. read more

Disgusted how we were treated by security because of a mistake on their part. My parents couldn't walk in the heat anymore and had went into the new gift shop/restaurant to rest and get something to drink. No one said they needed a photo taken to re-enter the park. The security at the door told them to just walk through these doors to get back into the park. No signs anywhere about re entry photos. When they got to the gate with their tickets, they were denied re-entry. My parents would've complied but security said it was fine and to go out the doors and back in. Do better and have a better system. We spent a lot of money on a family trip. We had photos proving we were in there all morning and it was an honest mistake, thinking they can shop and eat at the restaurant INSIDE THE PARK. Not sure why the gift shop would be an exit. There was no one taking photos. Usually theres a line that you would get stamped. We didn't see any signs for a separate line. One guard actually kept apologizing that they were doing this to us. We brought our 3 and 5 year old kids to Hershey Park on a summer weekend (opens at 10 am all summer). There was a drizzle to light rain the entire first day. The second day was cloudy but with very little rain. Here are my tips: 1. The phone app is good for a map and just that. It has incorrect wait times and lists rides as closed that are actually open, and lists rides as open that are actually closed. 2. Hershey Park is great for kids of this age group. There are kiddy rides all throughout the park, and if you go around the park and ride each kiddy ride once, eat lunch, watch the seal show, and play in the arcade, it'll take the whole day. 3. On a drizzly day, Hershey Park is excellent. The park took a much longer time to fill up, which meant that you could go on rides like the Great Bear near midday with little to no wait. Of course none of the coasters are covered, but a lot of the kiddy rides are. No rides were closed because of the rain (but if there is more rain or thunder then things will close). 4. On a cloudy day, Hershey Park fills up quickly. Candymonium is outside of the early access area so you do not need a season pass or stay in a Hershey hotel to ride it. Get there at 9 am and ride it to your heart's content before 10 am. The other big, popular rides like Skyrush and Reese's Cupfusion open at 10 am. Ride them to your heart's content before 11 am. Or pay more for the fast pass. 5. The rides appropriate for little kids never had really long lines, except for the Cocoa Cruiser (the mini kid's coaster), the Twin Turnpike (where kids get the thrill of driving a car) and Reese's Cupfusion (where you can shoot a laser gun at targets). 6. The arcade deeper in the park has better and a larger variety of games. 7. The food at the food court is awful. The grilled chicken in the chicken sandwich was literally too tough to bite through. But they also have a Subway, a Chick-fil-A, a Nathan's, and some other third party vendors throughout the park. 8. The zoo is tiny. They have bears, mountain lions, bobcats, wolves, an armadillo, and otter and a bald eagle. I think I just named all of them (just kidding, but it feels like it). Takes less than an hour to walk through the whole thing. But it's cute and fun for the kids, and perfect to walk through when all of the rides have long lines. Enjoy! read more
