We went to Laserdome for their "Deck The Holograms" augmented reality holiday experience, and honestly, it was such a delight! Picture this: you step inside a life-sized holographic North Pole, wearing lightweight AR glasses, tossing virtual snowballs, collecting ornaments, helping Santa save Christmas, and discovering festive surprises along the way. It's part game, part holiday movie, and all-around magical. From their website: "Deck the Holograms is a family-friendly augmented reality adventure that transports you inside a life-sized holographic North Pole...an unforgettable shared experience for families, friends, and believers of all ages." Yup, it's exactly that -- and it totally lives up to the hype. We did the experience as a pair, and it was so much fun together. Plus, we got 3 hours of free arcade play included with our tickets for $34.99 per person, which honestly feels like a steal. We even spent a little time in the arcade before jumping into the AR adventure, which was a nice warm-up. The story itself was surprisingly thoughtful -- it made us reflect on being present in the moment during the holidays instead of getting lost in our phones. It's playful, immersive, and yes, totally enjoyable for 40+ year olds too. Plenty of parking, plenty of space to move around, and the whole experience is cozy and warm inside -- perfect for a chilly December night. We booked our tickets from the parking lot on the last Friday before Christmas and had no trouble snagging the 8pm time slot we wanted. Overall, it's a low-impact, warm, immersive, and joyful way to celebrate the season. Although they advertise the secret garden and star show and it sounds really nice, it was just okay. It's in a small laser dome room that all you do is walk back and forth in. You see things through the glasses and you're supposed to interact with them by pretending to touch them. Anybody else watching you do this sees you walking around with your hands out in front of you touching absolutely nothing. You also see most of everything that's already in the room in the background which ruins it for the whole experience. For the price it's way too much. For the experience it was it was kind of cool but not what I expected. It looks so much better than the advertise it for other places that have the same show or similar 3D glasses shows read more

My review is coming from the perspective of a group who only wanted to do Laser tag during a bachelor party. Laserdome is easy to find, directly off of 283, and they have adequate parking. You might want to leave your coat in whatever vehicle you drove here for convenience. We called ahead checking if we needed reservations and they basically said walk-ins are fine, has not been crowded. Upon arrival multiple children's birthday parties were ongoing and it was crowded. This place is not large and that's one of the issues. Moving around here is a bit of a chore. Center of the first floor is where the cashier is located, along with various LED TV's showing what packages you can purchase. The process of working our group though the cashier was easy enough, but the details on what time the Laser tag starts is something Laserdome needs to work on. It felt very vague. They do eventually call your group over the intercom. While we waited, we did wander around checking out the place. Game quality? I would say most of the current game selection is 5-10 years behind more modern arcades and are due for an upgrade. They advertise Pinball, and only had three machines. They do have a snack bar, with soda, pizza, and ice cream products. We eventually moved upstairs to a quieter area until we figured out what was going on with Laser tag. The Laser tag equipment is your standard vest and gun type. It was free for all when we played, everyone for themselves. While the area is two stories and full of neon and dark lights...having 30ish people in this space was too many. At best, the Laser tag game was ok. If you have a family, and are looking for a day out in a self-contained area that your kids can't get lost? This is probably an option. Would I return here for the arcade or Laser tag? We were having a pretty good time even though there were lots of people. Suddenly my sister's game ended and I still had 5:38 minutes. My family had tickets for The Unreal Garden, both the Garden and the Solar System. We had never been to this location before so had no idea what to expect. The building is an arcade with a separate room for the VR. For the event, the girls working that room were pleasant but didn't really offer a lot of information so I was lost a bit throughout both events. The idea of it all is pretty cool and you'll likely enjoy yourself, but for the price it should be so much better, in both the experience as well as the graphics. The graphics, while bright and enchanting, are only so-so in quality and execution. The Solar Stem was cool but it does require a fair amount of reading which got a little bit tedious. The room itself is sizable but you're in there with other parties so you have to be aware of your surroundings so as not to bump into each other while you're literally wandering around these VR "locations" within the space. read more

Yesterday I had one of the worst experiences of my life at this place of business! I purchased 4 tickets costing a total of $158 to the Laserdome's Verse Immersive show which lasts an hour and a half. I purchased these tickets as a birthday present for my 8 year old grandson's and my 80 year old disabled mother in law's birthday. I was so excited for them to have this fun unique awesome event experience because my grandson loves science and my mother in law due to her disability doesn't get out much other than doctor's appointments. We drove 1.5 hours to get to Laserdome to enjoy this special event and after the event, have to drive another 1.5 hours back home after the event was over. However, 10 minutes into the immersive event, the headset fell off of my 8 year old grandson's head, when we went to a staff member to have them put the headset back on his head, we were told that they couldn't do that. They told us that if a headset falls off or is taken off ones head, they cannot put it back on that person's head but rather, that person can no longer play the game. There is NOTHING on Laserdome's website putting a customer on notice of about this so called rule, nor did any of the staff members tell us this fact when they were first fitting us with the headset. I tried to explain to the manager on site about how important this event is to my 8 year old grandson and elderly mother in law because it is their special birthday present. Nope, to them, it is the rule period and they were going to do nothing to accomodate or assist us in any way. They also denied that their staff didn't put my grandson's headset on tight enough. They would not assume or accept any responsibility nor would they do anything to accomodate or resolve the issue other than, we could no longer participate in the event. What made the whole experience even worse was how we were treated by their young inexperienced and immature manager because he never addressed my concerns about the situation but rather he was argumentative, very belligerent, sarcastic, condensending, unprofessional and very disrespectful toward me and my family. That is when I asked the manager to talk to the general manager and was told that I had to contact the owner of the business which I did call him while I was there for resoluation but only got his voice mail. When I asked the staff for a full refund, I was denied a full refund and when I then texted the owner, he also refused to refund me nor did the owner care about how his manager treated me and my family. I guess the owner only cares about making money and not concerned at all about the customer or customer satisfaction. This truly was the worst experience that I have ever had at a place of business. read more

Wanted a gottshall family fun night and decided to come here. When you check in on yelp you can get a free arcade card which gives you 5 hours of unlimited free games. There are only certain games that are free (pretty much you can't earn tickets) but we don't want that stuff anyway so this was fine). There are lots of packages to choose from and the manager was very helpful in explaining everything to us. We really just wanted laser tag. So we purchased a session and off we went. Before it started we had a video tutorial in a briefing room where there was seating. The two young men who were our staff were actually very helpful and Informative. They looked like high school boys so I just pictured that they wouldn't care they'd just be there because they had to. But they proved me wrong. They were super friendly and mature and were very good at keeping everyone in line. The course itself was fun and I laughed like a hyena trying to avoid getting shot. We played two games in there and really enjoyed ourselves. Afterward we played some of our free games but we were getting hangry so we headed off to find dinner. The boys had to much stored up energy at home, but it was 27 degrees out and dark outside.... so we headed out to Laserdome to release it. When we got there there wasn't much of crowd. I bought them both the $19.99 package which includes: 5 hours of laser tag, $5.00 game card and racing zone. Also, added another $5.00 to the card, so I think they were upgraded to the 25.00 package. The boys commented, "We forgot how much fun this was!!!" We are sure to return again. This was money well spent. We did eat French fries there and they were hot, delicious and Reasonable priced. If I were to recommend anything it would be to keep the food area wiped up. There was salt and oil on the stainless steel counter area. I'm a mom I felt the urge to wipe it and clean that area. Otherwise, we love this place! ------------------------------------- Update: went there last night and wasn't as much fun. Many of the racing games were being hogged by kids and adults. I have driven past the Laser Dome a countless number of times. It wasn't until last winter that some of my friends and I decided to venture in. There were about ten of us who went during a week night. We had printed out student discount coupons beforehand. I think it came to $12 a person, but then we got $10 in free arcade game play. When you arrive at the Laser Dome there are a ton of arcade games, everything from ski ball to the basketball hoops games. The coolest arcade game here was a laser cat walk room. For a dollar or two you could enter a small black room and try to get to the other side without hitting the laser- similar to what you see spies doing in the movies. My friends seemed to enjoy this, and it was the first time I had seen something like it. After checking in, the staff will give you a designated time for your laser tag play. When the time arrives you have to sit through a short demonstration and safety lesson. After that, teams are selected and you gear up. I'm not sure how clean all the gear is, but I put it on anyway and showered when I got home. The actual laser "dome" was not open, but there was an additional area that we went into. The laser area was awesome; there were tons of ramps to climb on and places to hide. I enjoyed myself much more than I expected to. There weren't too many little kids, but I think we avoided that because we went later on a weeknight. This is a great group activity and would be perfect for team bonding or birthday parties. read more

My son celebrated his 13th birthday party here. Overall, I was pleased with our experience. The kids had a lot of fun, the food was good, and the tables/decorations were set up nicely. My only complaint is that we didn't have a party host, and it really wasn't explained to us why we didn't. I'm capable of carrying my own items upstairs, and serving my own food. However, during his laser tag session, it was the birthday of a member of the opposite team. That child's host yelled out to everyone in laser tag that they had a special birthday shout out and to give the kid a round of applause...while my son who's actual birthday was on the day of his party got to watch. I was so excited to come from out of town to laserdome and play some awesome laser tag but I was let down. As a teen I don't recommend. Came here with a few friends and made a reservation. Had a birthday party in our game session. Staff supervisors for laser tag were not useful. Allowing these kids to lay in the middle of the upper walkway like downed call of duty characters. The place is really unorganized and small for as many people were here. This was such a fun time. We participated in Laser tag, played the arcade games and Xbox. This was fun for our entire family. The laser tag tired everyone out. The 2 girls that were our referees were friendly and knowledgeable. There were some younger kids in our party and they were very patient with the children. When visiting my in-laws around Christmas, we had a groupon for Laserdome and decided to try it out one Saturday. I went laser tagging near my house a few years ago(I don't live in the Lancaster area) and was disappointed. I expected to be disappointed again by Laserdome and the act of laser tag but went to have fun with my 9-year old sister-in-law. My husband who grew up in the area and spent many days at Laserdome, also feared it would be disappointing as an adult. However, Laserdome was far, far from disappointing. We had so much fun. We only signed up for 2 games because we didn't have much time. They had a four-hour package going and when we first arrived that sounded like so much time, but I totally could have kept playing for four hours!! I loved how they had a different power-up (not sure what they called it) every game. Every 45 seconds or so, some random people on each team would get a power-up (your vest would announce it to you). The power-ups didn't last long, but for us they included deflection (if you get shot, it counts as a shot against the person shooting), invincibility and rapid fire! This made it SO much fun and really even-ed out the playing field for my 9-year old sister-in-law! In between games, we had fun playing in the arcade together. It was a day to remember and we're looking forward to coming back. If you had a league, my sister-in-law would definitely join. It was her first time playing laser tag and she had the time of her life!! read more

Exceeded my expectations. This place is a jewel in an otherwise nothing but cows and skunks kind of place. The host was young but acted completely professionally with the party. The whole place was run with precision in terms of time and activities. (Welcome: 8:20 - 8:40. Lasertag: 8:40 - 9:10. Pizza and ice cream cake: 9:10 - 9:40. Dancing 9:40 - 10: 30 etc.) Everything was explained to me and everything went according to plan. The only thing I can think of that they can improve on is the food selection -- but you're not really there for the food, are you. A few more healthier food options would be nice. Speaking of kids, if you're not a kid, be prepared to be bombarded by kids and pizza parties at this joint, so make sure you go with a large group of same-aged/generation friends. Laserdome is a refreshing, affordable and fun place to spend a few hours with the kids at. Being an arcade guru myself, of course I've passed on the love of mastering arcade machines to snag the most tickets to my kids. This location is conveniently located near Hershey and campgrounds with plenty of parking. Although there's a big sign on the street, I would of preferred to see a sign on the building as it was a tad confusing. Walking in you see a clean, well maintained arcade. All the machines are digital, so you check out 1 of two machines where you fill cards with cash or credit card to use on the games. Just swipe your card (similar to Dave and Busters) on whatever game you choose and you're in! Keep in mind that not all games pay out tickets. They have a nice selection from claws, coin pushers to even Xbox games. But I need to point out a few things that bugged me. Firstly, there's only 3 claw machines and 1 of them is the candy one. The other two are ticket bundles or small off brand stuffed animals... which isn't a bad thing but the claws are set soooooooooo sensitive that it's blatantly obvious. You'll see the claw literally wrap a object and not even nudge it. Secondly, the wheel of fortune game where you have to stop the circling light on "bonus" it's also set in high favor of the house. You land on bonus and see it obviously skip to the next light. Of course these aggressive settings are good at keeping people like myself who can manipulate them and win large amounts of tickets away but makes it impossible for kids. I'd really like them to add some more ticket earning games as I felt there wasn't enough. The prize area is very nice as it's a nice sized shop area with quality items at fair or maybe a little higher than fair ticket quantities. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I can't comment on the Lazer tag as I didn't get the opportunity but I seen a lot of smiling faces. They also have a nice snack bar with hot food that I didn't try but looked good. This is def a place I'll be returning to next time I'm in town. read more

Owner treats employees horribly, machines are usually broken, and everything (including the prizeroom) is way overpriced. I also will never forget how filthy the place is. There was dust and dirt everywhere.... In conclusion, I wish I could give it more stars with what the employees have to deal with, but the negatives cover up the positives. Stopped in while looking for some fun stuff to do in the area. It's a bit small and the games are a little outdated, but if you're lucky enough to bring in one of their advertisement cards like the one we got from our hotel it gives you a free five-hour card good for unlimited use on certain games (air hockey, Madden '17, a driving game, etc.). We didn't play laser tag but it seems like that would have brought the score up a little. Not a lot of variety and one of the two skee-ball games was broken, as was one of the two basketball games. Still, a fun hour and a half and only cost us $10 after we added some money on our cards. read more
