The site supervisor Branden was very professional and great at communication. He stayed in touch with me describing how the team was progressing. He also made sure the team members took breaks especially given the extreme heat. I gave them 2 and a half cases of water to make sure they stayed hydrated. Meanwhile, my neighbors were fascinated by the technology. They came out to marvel at the 42 foot ladder with the motor and pulley system that delivered supplies from street level to the rooftop in seconds. It spared workers backbreaking stress and made the project go faster. I really needed a new roof and roof drain. My ceiling was leaking. Your estimator, Josh, was intelligent and explained the roofing process clearly. As for the estimate, the price he provided was very fair and I was so happy with his presentation. He didn't pull scare tactics as some competitors did. Some of them also wanted to charge 30 percent more. The office staff was also great at conveying information. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!…read more We engaged Ally to install our roof and gutter system in September 2021. Ally completed the roof installation quickly and efficiently. For a small 1500 sq ft roof our total bill was $22,199. For that price we expected not to have to chase down contractors and to have a quick and easy installation. Ally told us that they were not the cheapest, but they would give us the least amount of headaches. We are two busy professionals so we decided to engage them. It is hard not to look back on that decision and wish we went with another contractor after the headache over the gutter installation, the roof leaks, the damage to our house, and the back and forth with Ally. I hesitated to post a negative review for these many months because the employees at Ally have been apologetic - they recognize they are at fault and fully admit it when we are talking or emailing with them. However, at a certain point we have to acknowledge that the employees and owners are "yes"-ing and "sorry"-ing us with no action or plan of action. At bottom, Ally has not completed the work we agreed upon and has caused damage to our home. We posted a negative review in June 2022 and Ally called us to assure us they would take care of the problem. We took the review down. IT IS DECEMBER 2023 AND THE ROOF STILL LEAKS. Installers left pieces of gutter, roofing, and tools on our property. The gutter installers were not scheduled until almost six full months after the roof was installed. Without gutters for such a long period of time we have noticed and documented damage to our house. An Ally employee came to our house, went on the roof and told us that the Ally crew did the installation wrong. The employee did a quick fix and said he would come back to fully fix it. THE ROOF IS STILL LEAKING. This has been a nightmare.

I gave them a month to get back to me. when I tried to reach out again they wouldn't return my calls until I left a message asking for a quote. I explained that my roof was leaking after replacement, as well as the fact that a lot of the rubber was bubbling up. He agreed that it was casued by improper installation, "but we've had several inspected and they don't leak". Again I was told someone would contact me. I gave them another 3 weeks to contact me without response. I have now had three unanswered emails, and when I tried to call today I was hung up on several times.

I could tell right away that his prices would be reasonable because when I asked him how much he'd charge for repairing the fascia alone, he didn't charge me the $1200 or $2000 minimum that other companies were charging - just to nail back in the fascia! Not only are his prices much, much better, but he's very prompt and great at communicating. He shows up when he says he will. He calls and keeps in contact if he's going to be a little bit later. On top of that, he works with his son, Nick, and their teamwork is impressive to watch! They work extremely well together, they have high standards, and their manner towards each other is so pleasant that it makes the entire experience a very positive one. It was quite a sight to see Mike working on the fascia from the ladder while Nick was simultaneously working on the same piece of fascia while lying on the edge of the roof and holding it in place. They were extremely careful, skillful, good-natured, professional, friendly, and serious about doing a great job. Their work on fixing the fascia was much better than a handyman team that fixed my front fascia a few years ago and left it bumpy and with nails in the front rather than on the underside. They replaced the awful ridge vent I had - 6 inches across - with one that was 14 inches across - a much more intelligent design for keeping wind from blowing rain right into the attic. They matched the color of the vent, as well, to match my green roof! I don't know why the former roofer sold me that awful ridge vent. How can a ridge vent like that keep humidity out of your attic if it's letting in rain? I can't say enough good things about Mike's Roofing. There was not one thing I didn't like about their work and their manner. They were even careful of the wild rabbits in our yard - careful not to drop anything on them. And MIke even cheerfully put up with the jungle of tall shrubs he had to climb through - and prickers - to access the fascia. The large crew arrived dressed in company uniforms and brought lots of safety equipment. They did a fantastic job! In one day, they ripped off the old shingles, replaced all the old plywood, and installed a beautiful new roof. They also did a great job cleaning up around the house. They were quick to respond a fix a portion that needed a little more care. They inspected one year later and called several times to make sure there were no issues. Poor workmanship and lack of accountability. We are now dealing with the consequences as we are trying to replace our siding and realizing all the problems. They did a terrible job of cleaning up, leaving debris in the yard and hundreds of loose nails, wood, and a beer bottle in the attic. They threw away materials (plywood sheets) that were purchased on our account without confirming with us whether we'd like to save them. Would avoid at all costs.
