Its clear she didn't do anything to bring it on and this guy was just fishing. Literally out of nowhere started asking about if she had kids, how old she was and "So what are u up to?". If I could give a zero I would. Wildly unprofessional. My wife sent me this screenshot because after trying to turn the conversation more reasonable by clearly talking about me, her husband, it was clear he was still trying to get with her. The roof turned out to be a nightmare for my budget when it was determined that last of 5 layers were cedar shingles. Because of the shingles the roof needed to be stripped down to the rafters and 100 4X8 underlayment's needed to be layer down. Because of underlayment's, my budget was compromised. The Supervisor, Santiago, worked with his office and got me financing so quickly that the work progress never stopped. Working with Santiago was easy as the two-way communication was flawless. I would hire them again in a NYC second.

10/27/21- (Schenectady) we hired Cousins Restoration on 7/9/21 to repair and replace our porch…read moreroof/balcony trim and our front sidewalk and stairs. The contract was signed, deposit of $5,000 provided, and work was scheduled for the week of 8/12. The work ended up being delayed until 9/20 (understandable but we were concerned about the unresponsiveness of the owner, Ryan Van Brocklen). On 9/20, no one showed up, and after texting Ryan we were told that some of the materials were damaged and that they would now be starting next week. We tried to contact Ryan many times to discuss but no response. We did not receive a response until 9/30, and we were told that work would now start 10/1 (no one showed up again). Eventually, two workers were sent on 10/7. They worked on site for 5 days, and completed demolishing the sidewalk/stairs and preparing a frame for the cement pour on 10/15. We were told by Ryan that the cement pour would take place on 10/20, but (again) no one showed up that day. When we tried to contact him, we again received no response and his workers had also been unable to reach him. To date, we have heard nothing from Ryan and have had to terminate our contract and hire someone else to do the necessary work on our house. Our sidewalk and stairs remain unfinished and our front yard is a disaster. We ended up having to hire a new contractor to finish the work and it turns out that the work done by Ryan and his crew was done improperly and will need to be redone, at twice the cost. We have asked for a refund of our $5,000 deposit since only about 15% of the work was completed, the work was done improperly, and we are left in an emergency situation with no sidewalk or stairs (right before winter) with no response from the owner. Do yourself a favor and don't hire Cousins Restoration- you'll regret it (we certainly do!).

If my house looked this nice three years ago I never could have afforded it!! I'm downright excited to see how much my heat bills go down this winter. 7/5 stars, wholeheartedly recommend!!

A week a week of calling for the estimate they only gave an estimate to replace the roof and not what was asked to be fixed. I then called and tried to get an explanation and was ghosted by Jason. 2 weeks later pallet of shingles was delivered and called to figure out why they were delivered. They were going to do the work without any authorization or talk of me paying them. Told them to pick up the shingles which they agreed to. Next day they showed up to do the work thank god someone was home to stop them. Was probably going to try and scam us for a new roof without agreeing to it. They were young, knowledgeable and energetic. The team leader assured me they would complete the job in a day. They delivered as promised. The site supervisor Branden was very professional and great at communication. He stayed in touch with me describing how the team was progressing. He also made sure the team members took breaks especially given the extreme heat. I gave them 2 and a half cases of water to make sure they stayed hydrated. Meanwhile, my neighbors were fascinated by the technology. They came out to marvel at the 42 foot ladder with the motor and pulley system that delivered supplies from street level to the rooftop in seconds. It spared workers backbreaking stress and made the project go faster. I really needed a new roof and roof drain. My ceiling was leaking. Your estimator, Josh, was intelligent and explained the roofing process clearly. As for the estimate, the price he provided was very fair and I was so happy with his presentation. He didn't pull scare tactics as some competitors did. Some of them also wanted to charge 30 percent more. The office staff was also great at conveying information. They were nice, efficient and easy to talk to. I called up 9 roofing companies. I'm glad I picked S & G. I figure my home renovation begins from the top down. You saved my roof and in doing so you saved my house. I'll try to get back up on the roof to show the completed work which is awesome. The only photo that I have to share is of the work in progress. Thanks a bunch.
