Do NOT recommend. Measurements are critical. If the measurements are wrong then it will all be wrong!! They measured wrong!! Went to them for granite counters, backsplash, and a cap on the pass-thru between kitchen/living area. Heaven forbid if I'd had a large kitchen with a big island but this was a basic small L-shape kitchen with a pass-thru. SHORT STORY...... 1) Measured wrong so cuts were wrong 2) Unprofessional owners and office staff (yet great installers!) 3) Don't go. Just don't. Save yourself the mess, time, and stress LONG STORY............ They measured wrong so of course the granite was cut wrong for the backsplash and for the pass-thru. One end of the backsplash was cut correct, the other end was cut short. Same with the pass-thru cap, one corner was cut correct, 3 corners were cut short. Their answer to that mess? To cut the correct end of the backsplash to match the short end and to cut the one correct corner of the pass-thru cap to match the three mis-cut corners. Really!?!? So the thought apparently was that I should be happy all would match and just ignore that they would all be wrong!!! So the guy comes back out to re-measure and so they can re-cut the backsplash and pass-thru cap. Have to say I've dealt with AHs in my time but will be dammed if the AH will come into my house and act like an AH. So he's throwing a tantrum to show me just how put-out he is, but he re-measured, sort-of, slap here-slap there, done in 3-4 minutes. I thought there is no way this is going to be correct. So the guys come back out to install the re-cut backsplash and pass-thru cap. They bring in the backsplash and of course it's not right. I asked and was assured they would be cutting the 2 new pieces from the same slab but of course the new pieces didn't match!!! I know the different flow to granite but I also know the difference between tan and grey!!! And it wasn't "well it's just because you know the pieces were re-cut". The mis-match was slap-you-in-the-face obvious from across the room mis-match. Even the installers could see it although they couldn't say they gave the "yea it's bad" look!! Of course the re-cut pass-thru cap never made it off the truck. I really believe they used some left-over ends for the new cuts despite their assurances that they were cut from the same slab. I just say "no way". So I call and speak to the guy again who told me several times "he's wasted enough time on this". Says that they came back out and re-measured "at my request". That they re-cut "at my request". Absolutely astounding!!! Considering THEY mis-measured and mis-cut. So I tell them to tear it out, give me my money back, we'll just call it quits, and I'd find a company that can do the work. So the workmen tore out the counters and I picked up a check the following Monday morning. And I did find a company who not only "could do the work" but are professionals who did accurate, precise work, and never once told me "they'd wasted enough time". read more

Heritage Stonecraft installed new granite kitchen counters and a tile backsplash at my home in Wylie. This was a large job requiring one seam on the longest of the three counter tops. This seam needed to be concealed or blended in. Heritage provided computer drawings showing the slabs I selected and how they would look on my counters. In the end the seam is not noticeable. I should also mention that the estimate/survey process was equally automated allowing them the ability to show me precisely how the sections of granite would line up on my counter top before installation. The backsplash design I selected was a simple white subway tile and it looked great with the white and black granite I selected. The installers were professional and organized. If I remember accurately the process took just over a week with about three or four days of work. Demo took a full day, repairing the sheetrock was next, followed by the granite install and lastly the tile work. On the day that the granite was installed they also made repairs to the granite bar top at the outside kitchen and I am happy with the repairs. I am pleased to say that I will use Heritage Stonecraft for future projects. read more

I've used this company to install granite and marble kitchen and bathroom counter tops several times over the years and as recently as last year and the year before. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They are super professional from start to finish. My husband stayed home from work to meet with Richard Skaliks to make a template. On the phone call from my husband I could hear Richard in the back ground obsessing about the edge I wanted for the countertop. Mind you, I had already done all of this with my salesperson. Richard showed me a picture of a slab that wasn't mine but said that it was mine. The asked me where to what part of the slab that I liked and he, Richard, even went so far as to render an actual picture of what my new countertop would look like! Sadly, again this was a lie. Today, I get a picture of my actual slab that was laying flat not tilted upward. They said that they had a saw cut where her wanted to make the counter top and for me to pick where I wanted my countertop to be cut from on this slab. I said that I couldn't see the slab the way that it was pictured and that I wanted to have the most black in the countertop possible. I discussed this with my salesperson as well. NOT ONE PERSON offered to help me find a way to make it work, not one, even though we were clear on the color direction that we wanted to go! Their "resolution" was for me to spend 1 plus hours in the car to go back to their shop and decide where the cut was going to come from for the countertop. Where is their customer service? Well my goodness. I can't believe I forgot to review heritage after they installed our new kitchen counter tops 2 years ago. We had marble installed and the work was fine. They were the most expensive of all the companies we looked into but we decided to go with them because they HAD such great service. I called recently to inquire about some additional work in our home and holy crap, has their customer service changed!!! They don't seem to have any flexibility with their scheduling (totally fine) but they are downright RUDE on the phone these days!! When I called to try to schedule an estimate and measure one of the woman kept making these noises (huffing and sighing, suctioning her tongue and then making "that" noise) like she was annoyed with me asking if there was any way to pay additional for a shorter turn around time... Last time we paid more and were extremely flexible with them because we were in a rush, so not wrong to assume they may want extra money to fill a scheduling gap but apparently, that was okay with the ladies who work the phones. When I asked what the turn around time was looking like I got an annoyed and very unprofessional "you wanna know how long?!?! I'll have to look... hold on..." I felt like I was talking to 14 year olds with an attitude problem, seriously! I was then talked down to like I can't figure out how to schedule appointments and told "um.. if you find someone else, please call us... we're holding this slot for you and you need to let us know if you're going with someone else!" First of all, duh. Second of all, I paid you people over 7 grand to do work for us last time, I've never canceled or no call no showed or have done anything that would warrant you to treat me this way. We have called you once for a complete kitchen (project paid and completed) and now this time to try to offer you more business. I cannot believe the lack of professionalism I have been met with this time around. How dare I call a business and offer them money for services that they provide?!?! I did call to cancel my impending measure and estimate this week, after finding a professional and better priced company. And was again met with unmistakable rudeness and, dare I say, borderline contempt! I will absolutely stop telling people who did the work in our home, I will let them know how incredibly rude you've been and when we move soon, we won't be using you for our new kitchen or bathrooms. I won't even be leaving your make and paperwork for the homeowners. I will make sure to leave them the name and paperwork for the other company that I found, in hopes that they never have to experience your incredibly rude staff who can't be bothered to talk to people in a cordial tone. read more

Great family business - they have their own in-stock stone selection and work with several wholesalers, giving you a wide range of potential product. Very responsive - came onsite promptly - showed up on time to take measurements. Once you select your slabs, they call you in to see a computerized modeling of your specific slabs with the cuts so you can see how seams and transitions will look. Pretty cool CAD application. Pretty good on the install - the stone looks great but they left a sink install incomplete which caused a drip inside a cabinet that their installer didn't alert me to. read more

So sad to see this family run business go down hill. We were long time customers of Hertiage stonecraft. On four separate occasions over the last 15 years we used Hertiage stone craft. We have been loyal customers because they offer a turnkey job with quality work at a fair price. Our most recent experience was nothing short of a mess. Hertiage installed quartzite counter tops in our kitchen. The installation went smoothly although delayed because of poor communication from them on start date. The problems began when their plumbers came to reinstall 4 kitchen appliances. The plumbers (Bateman services) broke two of our appliances durning reinstallation, never primed the pump on our dishwasher and caused it to turn off. Long story short 3 weeks and 8 visits later from plumbers our 4 appliance were installed. We complained to Hertiage about the plumbing issues....their response to us was "its between you and the plumbers" They basically removed themself from the job and wanted us to pay them in full. So much for turnkey, so sad to see a family run business treat a long time customer with such indifference. read more

I just made a phone call to this business asking about the availability of remnants. This was the 8th business I had called in a row, and the first business to say I must come in before they could reveal what they had. Because I have an infant at home and it is 100+ outside, I am trying to first find out if it's worth my trip to the location (don't want to show up for a white remnant when they don't even have anything white, for instance). As I explained this in hopes of them finding a way to work with me, the receptionist interrupted me, saying "Ok, thanks, goodbye!" and hung up on me. I felt like it was a rude way to deal with a potential customer and I won't even consider making the trek to their location at this point. Careful if you're looking for a good experience with customer service---they weren't nice enough for me to even get in the front door! read more

Had new kitchen countertops installed in my daughter's house. Price was ok - not great. Measurer was ontime, installers were ontime. Plumbing to re-install dishwasher, disposal and sink was done the next day, and went smoothly. Granite was cut incorrectly in one small area, and a piece had to be glued to it, leavinig a noticeable seam. But it was in a relatively inconspicuous area, so was ok. The filler strip behind the drop-in range was cut slightly too large, resulting in the range sticking out from the cabinets slightly more than it was supposed to, resulting in a gap. I was told at the time that it was due to an anti-tip piece on the back of the range that needed to be moved or bent. But after they left, I discovered that the anti-tip piece was NOT interfering with the placement of the range. Thus, I will have to install a makeshift trim piece to cover the gap in the front next to the cabinets. During the installation, the installers moved the refrigerator to have better access to the cabinets. When they finished, they did not move the refrigerator back, and I discovered after they left that the refrigerator could not be moved back without removing the baseboard. Apparently, they had replaced the island countertop with one slightly larger, resulting in inadequate space to slide the refrigerator between the island and the wall. Not horrible, but I've had better experiences with granite installation. read more

Just used Heritage Stonecraft to replace the granite countertops and backsplash for my home. The work was pretty good they made a couple of errors that required me to employ someone else to fix. Not a big deal to me but then when I went to make the final payment they hit me for a 2% convenience fee that was never mentioned or disclosed to me prior.
