I ordered John's Handyman service online. A few emails and texts were all it took to schedule, and his crew showed up on time, 10 minutes early. Being an Army veteran, I can appreciate the promptness. They removed my old bi-fold doors, along with the hardware, and moved the mounting hardware out an inch so that the new bi-fold doors would clear the dryer and close properly. I am delighted with the work and will order their service again. read more

Appreciated their services so much, I immediately scheduled another appointment for another project. The first one was to install two bi-fold doors and the second one was to reconfigure my kitchen cabinetry to accommodate a new built-in oven and microwave. Couldn't be more pleased with the work. Al is a genius with carpentry and takes great pride in his work. Very dependable and detail oriented. So glad to have this kind of small business operating in our community. read more

John and Al are honest, reliable, and very knowledgeable. This is a great find. I've recommended them to family and friends.

Al arrived a few minutes early and he installed new double closet door hardware, latch closures and now the bedroom door can close completely since he fixed that problem as well. It couldn't have been simpler setting an appointment with a phone call and following up via text! It was a relief to find a company that is trustworthy and provides great workmanship. I'll certainly be contacting John's Handyman Services in the future! read more

Just told he was booked for this time...Not even a time discussed. He could have done it whenever he wanted. Just say you don't want to do something versus blowing a person off. It's rude and disrespectful. Being berated and sworn at doesn't live up to the reputation you say you deserve. Simply could have you said you're not available for a couple of week, asked for availability...A simple misunderstanding, but no, you decided to belittle me. You have been reported Sir. read more

Wow! These guys are the real deal and impressed me with their professionalism and quality of work. It always feels like a gamble when you're hiring a contractor...but I am so glad I listened to the reviews here, John and his crew were outstanding! We had some projects around the house we haven't been able to find anyone for. John came over to give us an estimate and we were so lucky to be scheduled for the next day. Everything was done promptly and it was affordable. I'll definitely call them again for future projects. Thanks John, Wesley and Larry! read more

We overall had a very good experience with this business. I contacted John through yelp, exchanged several messages with pictures and details of the work that needed to be done and got a reasonable quote. Scheduling was also easy. The crew members ( Al and Robert) arrived on the day and time as scheduled and did a very good job painting the dining room and installing a chandelier. The only hicap was that I ended up paying $140 over the orginal estimate because something was not included in the crew's work order that I had mention I needed. However we were very pleased with the end result and overall experience. We will contact this business again for future projects. read more

John's Handyman Service deserves this FIVE star review for delivering CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT service. Consistency, is a quality I really appreciate, and one I've struggled to find in this industry. In my next life, I plan to be very "handy." Until THEN, I will ask John's Handyman Services to help me chart those waters. Wesley deserves to be recognized for his professionalism on several occasions, and for leaving my place in better condition than when he arrived. He even shopvaced some broken glass outside so my cat wouldn't walk thru it. He didn't have to do that. But he did. That's how you make the ALL-STAR team!!! Thank you again, Wesley. That's what EXCELLENCE is all about: doing what's right, because it's right. John's does it RIGHT. read more

So rude I called him and he said "Im so fucking booked I dont have time for you" I would not waiste time or money with him.

I have used they guys now 3 or 4 times for just about any job imaginable. They do their homework, for instance I asked them to build a 3 step staircase under my back door because it was almost a 2.5 foot drop. They measured when they came out for the estimate, and on the day they came to do the work they showed up with the stair stringers already cut. Very fast, very professional, excellent work and I believe a great value (they have charged me less than I was quoted on some jobs because it took less time than they thought). I can not say enough good things about this company. read more

This was our first time using John and his team and it won't be the last. His team is highly skilled, on time and friendly. Our carpenter was John and he did a great job removing exterior brick arches over our windows after a few bricks fell off. He replaced them with wood window framing. Great service, fair pricing and extremely trustworthy. read more

John and his crew are a wonderful group to work with. Everyone on his team is reliable, polite, professional and they show up on time! John completed a renovation on our garage (attic door installation, demo, drywall repair, electric work) and we are having him back to redo our bathrooms. He is responsive when you need a quote and upfront with ideas that may work best or tell you when something might be unnecessary. He follows up after his crew is done to ensure you are happy with the work. I highly recommend hiring John to help you with your home improvements! read more

Great experience. John came to my house within an hour of my call and gave a very reasonable estimate of repair. A couple of hours later, David completed the repair. They were both professional, pleasant, knowledgable, efficient and did an excellent job. They brought along all the tools and materials needed, so there was no wasted time. I'm thrilled and relieved that I finally found a reliable, reasonably priced local handyman service, and I look forward to using John and his crew again. Highly recommended. read more
