Do NOT hire this place to design your remodel. We worked for over a year to get correct materials that had been paid for in full, and to date have yet to receive them. We have been forced to order the final correct materials on our own from a different supplier, and paid for them AGAIN. Below is my note in my phone that was developed over the last year of this project (starting in September 2021) of all the various MAJOR problems created by Marco Orsini's inaccurate measurements, design deficiencies, and failure to remedy problems HE alone created. His installer, Nadir "Leo" Daoud, is top notch, and he is HIGHLY recommended, but Leo should not have to overcome Marco's inability to read a measuring tape.
In addition, Marco is apparently more interested in returning often to his home country frequently and was often out of the country during the most critical times of our project execution.
Marco Orsini's created problems with our remodel:
2. Laundry Room and Bathroom door facings and drawer facings are the wrong style.
1. In Vantage they are Sherperton. (In Kraftmaid version should it be Stilton?)
A. The kitchen facings are correct
B. The laundry room and bathroom door and drawer facings are different and incorrect
3. The Kitchen Island cabinets were not ordered at the time of the other cabinet delivery and was not ordered for 6 weeks after installation of cabinets was completed, resulting in additional 3 month delay of arrival of island cabinets.
4. Installation of island had to be completed by a different contractor
5. Drawer pulls were always expected to be part of the installation, but apparently this expectation was not communicated by Marco to the installer, Leo
A. Once onsite, and after much coaxing, Leo agreed to install the drawer pulls but did not before leaving the job site
6. Puck/Cabinet lighting was always expected to be part of the cabinet installation, but was performed as an extra assignment by our remodel contractor
7. As discussed before order, all kitchen lower cabinets were supposed to have pull out systems installed and no static shelving. Two lower cabinets contain static shelving as the middle shelf
1. Cabinet B24Butt.DXFWI - 2nd cabinet to the right of the kitchen sink cabinet on the East wall has a drawer on the bottom but a static shelf in the middle below the top drawer
2. Cabinet B33.2DXT - Cabinet to the left of the microwave cabinet on the North was has drawers on the bottom but static shelf in the middle below the top drawer
8. The cutlery drawer insert was supposed to be removable. It is hard mounted in the drawer.
9. The crown material that was provided is 2" too short in the kitchen because of the plan measured height discrepancy. We have the material, but it is not yet installed. We need a 12" crown solution
1. Lazy Susan corner cabinet bottom shelf roller is broken
2. Cooktop cabinet, bottom drawer glide is broken
3. 100% of the quoted cabinet order costs have been paid to Marco
4. 50% of the quotes cabinet installation costs have been paid to Marco
5. Measurements in provided drawing plans are wrong in many multiple ways creating a lot of confusion for the first 3 days of installation
1. A. Overall height of ceiling in kitchen plan is inconsistent
6. i. This has affected height alignment of all the various cabinets
7. ii. This affects the crown molding that has been planned to be applied to the cabinet tops
8. iii. It appears the incorrect height crown molding base box was ordered, 6" instead of 8"
9. B. Overall length of South wall is incorrect
10. This has affected the layout and spacing of the various cabinets along the South wall
11. C. Cabinet measurements for lowers do not match uppers causing a mal-alignment of the cabinet facings from top to bottom
12. Delayed start date for installation of 3 days
A. Hotel Rooms were pre-paid and un-cancelable meaning that a total of 5 nights (3 for Leo and 2 for Marco) went unused
B. Stay had to be extended by 3 nights in order to complete the work
C. A total of 8 nights were unplanned and extra in order to complete the installation of the delivered cabinets
D. A return trip will be required to complete installation of the island, crown moulding, and drawer pulls, requiring additional hotel nights
1. We have many materials that were provided that were not used, materials we paid for but have no use for.
2. 1/2 kitchen cabinets have painted bottoms and shelving and the other half does not
3. Refrigerator space was made to be 36" and refrigerator is 36" which prevents installation of baseboard along the wall side and wall back of refrigerator space because of a lack of adequate space for baseboard resulting in an unfinished look and corner where baseboard stops on front corner of refrigerator. read more
