When I'm in the mood to treat myself to a pizza, I go to Hercules Pizza Works. I place my order for a "small cheese pizza" over the phone and drive the ten minutes over there. My pizza is always ready, and it is always delicious. There are two different ladies who run the front counter and cash register. They're always very cordial, and the pizza is always excellent. Pizza Works also offers other menu items, like salads, etc. I like that the place is always very clean and orderly. read more

Hercules Pizza was the best!! We had a party at the YMCA for our son and had it catered by hercules. The food was delicious and I was so impressed with the presentation. I spoke with one of the owners and she was so easy and pleasant to work with. The food came with serving tongs and little spoons to serve the sauces. We ordered from here a few weeks ago. The ordering and pickup process were easy. The place was very clean and the servers were friendly. When we brought the pizza home, our immediate reaction was "Ugh, this looks like Papa John's." However, it definitely did not taste like Papa John's! We were pleasantly surprised. This is the best pizza I've had in Rhode Island. It's Greek style, but it's like top shelf Greek style. Good crust, good cheese and tangy sauce, not too sweet. I moved down from Boston a year ago during the pandemic, and I've found a couple of OKAY pizza places near me, but nothing REALLY GOOD (until I tried Hercules). I'm happy I found this place. My update is based on personnel and corporate attitude and not quality of food, so this may interest some of you and others not so much. We loved Hercules pizza so much that when a position for a delivery/line cook opened up my son (who was in culinary school at the time and had worked as a sous chef 2 summers at Kirkbrae) jumped at the job. He was hired, and things went downhill from there. The family staff were unpleasant, inconsistent and eventually abusive, both verbally and physically. He left after he got smacked off the back of his head for something. Because we understand how family businesses are run differently than other businesses, he just separated himself from the company, but due to this we have never ordered from there again. read more

Eat with caution. My husband had intentions to call the manager about this (his work schedule was too erratic) however too much time has passed(a week) at this point but I feel like people should be warned. My husband went to pick up our order. He was waiting on the fried Oreos. The guy using the fryer dropped one of the Oreos onto the floor, the front cashier said "oh no!" fry guy made eye contact with my husband, pretended to fry another Oreo and placed it in the bag. So I've had it 3 times. I really just feel like it's run of the mill. It's certainly not a greek style, or up the hill Concerta style, or even Twins style. It is a pressed flat, perfectly round, run of the mill pizza. Some people like it like that and thata perfectly ok. For me to make this pizza worth it, we top it with everything under the sun. That way at least we get some protein out of the deal. I don't suggest saving and reheating it... it just is not the same. Over all they are very friendly and prices are reasonable. read more

Heading to the Rustic drive-in and needed some pizza, we called Hercules! The food was cooked in an appropriate time. We ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza. Kids were disappointed when the whole pizza was pepperoni! We also ordered teriyaki wings. As a blue cheese lover, they have the good blue cheese! But the wings could have been better. Ended up here, not out of choice. I blame myself for picking the wrong pizza. I ordered something called the Symmetrics Signature Pizza. I saw the word Signature and thought its gotta be good, its their signature! Ended up with dough, sauce, slices of eggplant and broccoli, and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese. Completely red, ZERO cheese the way you'd expect on a pizza. Listen, it was dry, it was naked, it was not worth what we paid, BUT I blame myself, I guess I should have asked if this pizza comes with cheese? (IDEA: maybe you can tell us This pizza DOESNT come with cheese, do you still want this "pizza?") Again, my fault for ordering it fine. I wont even get into the salad served with a pouch of cheapo quality factory manufactured dressing. (lazy) Reason why I leave this review is while we were ordering we noticed a swarm of flies in the food preparation area. The type of swarm you'd run through when jogging next to a river or a large puddle of still water. What really made me gag was on the counter they have some desserts like baklava and some kind of pie. INSIDE the transparent pie holder, was a LIVE fly trapped. Imagine a fish in a fishbowl, just bouncing off the walls, wondering how it got separated from its dozens of friends who freely wander around this pizza parlor. What did this poor fly do to be placed in pie prison? Can we please release him? And how about opening a window and releasing the rest of em while you're at it. I haven't tried the pizza yet but recently ordered fries and a chicken Caesar wrap. The portions are gigantic. Delivery is fast. My only complaint and it a going to sound crazy is there was too much chicken and not enough lettuce. The chicken, lettuce ratio was like 90/10 when it should have been more like 50/50. Today ordered a pizza and a greek salad, like we do about twice a month. Got home and had no greek dressing for the salad. It was so disappointing, how can you eat a greek salad without the dressing. I called about it and I was put on hold and then she said, did you want to come by and get it. No thanks, it should have been put in the order. She could have been apologetic, when I said I was not coming by for it, she said "Thank You" and ended the call. Will switch to another pizza place in the future. Ordered an 8 piece honey bbq wing and a small pizza w/pepperoni, pineapple and onion. Came to just short of $20. So not too bad on price but they do offer specials. Wings were tasty. Not tiny at all. Nice, big and meaty. Sauce was sweet and tangy. Very satisfied. Pizza was excellent. Crust is not too thick but not too thin. It was excellent. All around a good experience from beginning to end. Love everything about Hercules-honestly! The food is awesome and the staff is great. My visits there are always consistent and the staff is so friendly. The difficult part about this review is that literally everything I've tried on the menu is delicious and I can't choose my favorite! I'm literally obsessed with this place. I went away for a couple of months during summer 2015 and when I landed in RI- I knew this would be my first place to eat out again. Also-the establishment is very clean. I'm huge on cleanliness and Hercules is absolutely a very clean restaurant. Also family and kid friendly! I always see large parties of children's athletic teams whenever I'm in-so it's a great idea for the families looking to take the team out to lunch/dinner! Also love that it's right across the street from Twin River...please save yourself the overpriced dinners at the casino and go eat at Hercules...you won't be disappointed! read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I just want to start by saying I work in the food service industry and have for over 15 years and I also love to eat out and do so frequently and I'm also I frequenr yelp user and this is my first time writing a review. But I feel I I its aboustly nesecary to warn future guest of this place . The general manger has the WORST customer service I 've ever ever encountered the portions we're unbelivably small and I mean like kid portion small and the tarter sauce was sour and when I brought it up to the" General manger" he told me " well that s our portion size and I suggest you eat your fish before it gets cold" I couldn't believe it !! Hercules has won me over. It's New Years Eve and needless to say they are busy I picked up a steak and cheese calzone and got it home it had onions , peppers, mushrooms which I prefer not to eat on my steak and cheese and I did say just steak and cheese but There was obviously a mix up over the phone. The manager took the call right away and apologized and offered to make me a new one and have it delivered to my house and it came extremely fast!! and it was excellent !
