Herb Connolly Chevrolet Framingham ***Beware of service manager Jay and service rep Joie Mullen - deceptive and unprofessional conduct*** I bought a brand new 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 last February directly from Herb Connolly Chevrolet Framingham and, at the same time, purchased a brand new Fisher XV2 plow through this dealership for about $12,000, including their installation. In hindsight, I should have purchased the plow directly from Fisher, but I relied on the dealership's representations. The salesman, Joao Demarchi, and the finance manager I worked with both told me that if there were any issues, everything would be covered under warranty. I drove the truck home and did not use the plow until January 26th, which was a major snow day. I own two businesses and normally handle plowing ourselves. After less than four hours of light use at the first location, the plow's lifting mechanism completely stopped working. We didn't even make it to the second location. This was especially disappointing because I was told this was Fisher's most powerful and reliable plow. The truck had to be towed in because the plow failure made it unusable. When I brought it in, I was told that just to diagnose the plow would cost $250 per hour, despite being told the plow and installation were covered under warranty. I spoke with service rep Joie Mullen, who denied that any warranty applied and refused to assist unless I agreed to pay out of pocket. I went in person the following morning to try to resolve this. Again, I was told nothing would be done unless I paid the $250 per hour diagnostic rate. At this point, I was without my primary work vehicle and had to rely on my brother's accessible van to get to work. I explained that Fisher provides a two-year manufacturer warranty and that, under Massachusetts law, this product should be covered by the implied warranty of merchantability, since it failed to perform its basic function after only a few hours of use. I asked for the issue to be handled properly rather than escalating the matter further. I was dismissed and given no meaningful help. Eventually, I spoke with General Manager Brendon Connolly, who actually listened to what happened. To his credit, he stepped in immediately and said he would take care of the situation and ensure the issue was resolved. Only after the GM intervened did the service manager Jay become cooperative. This should not require escalation to the GM for a brand-new product that failed almost immediately. Even after approval to fix it, the dealership took nearly three weeks to complete the repair. For almost two weeks, there was no progress at all. I had to repeatedly call, text, and show up in person just to get basic updates. During this time, my truck and plow were sitting there unusable, which directly impacted my work. Overall, this experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If not for the GM stepping in, this would not have been resolved. Do Not Buy Here! I purchased a late model Chevy Silverado here. My third purchase at this dealer but the worst experience & I will never go back. I traded a vehicle in which had a few issues I assumed the dealer would take care of for the next Owner. What I came to realize is they do not do any 360 point pre-purchase inspections or repairs. They clean it shine it and out it goes. When I got home with my new truck I realized there was no wind shield wiper on the driver side. When I brought it in for a new one they tried to charge me for the blade plus labor. So I ended up getting a truck with multiple mechanical problems. It was in their shop more than my driveway. Then they told me I needed to put a deposit down ($1200) for a part that might never come in. They told me there were cars in the lot waiting for 6 months for the back ordered part so better hurry and get on the waiting list. In the meantime my truck was running poorly with a bad transmission. I quickly decided to dump the truck and move on from this lemon and purchased a Ram. Finally a decent reliable vehicle so I can work. Save your time, money & aggravation. Shop elsewhere! read more

Chevy certified- FAILED inspection and painted rims. I purchased a Chevy Certified 2020 Traverse from this dealership mid November. The purchase was simple, straightforward and completed within a night. The car was certified and onIy had 29K miles on it, so I felt comfortable with moving the sale along in a fast pace. A few days after I purchased the car, I went through a carwash and the black rims showed signs of peeling. All four rims. Me, not knowing much about cars, thought that seemed off, never seeing rims peel the way these did. Very frustrated and feeling ripped off, I swallowed my pride and decided to car to a car shop and have them order me new black rims and at that point was just going to let it be. Upon arrival, the gentleman asked me how long I have had the car. When I told him I recently purchased it a week ago, he asked me where I bought it from. I said Herb Connolly Chevrolet in MA. He asked me if the car ws certified and when I said it was, he shook his head and explained to me that certified cars should be held to a higher standard than this. He went on to explain that all four tires, not the rims, had visible dry rot on them and this car would not pass any state inspection and never should have left the lot in this condition. He laughed a little saying verbatim, "man, these dealerships just get slimier and slimier." He also told me that it should be no problem getting rims and tires replaced seeing how 1- the car is illegal to drive and 2- those rims have been recently altered to look like a blackout edition when it is not. I went to an inspection station in MA to have the tires looked at again, just to make sure before I contacted the dealship seeing how Herb Connolly sold it as a passable car. FAILED inspection. The amount of phone calls I had to place to get ahold of anybody at this dealership to rectify this problem was alarming. I had to fight to have new tires put on and when I pushed about the rims the sales manager response was, "you got new tires didn't you?" Unbelievable- like they did me a favor by fixing a problem that never should have been one in the first place. This is a shameful business practice and these rims have be rigged. The car has 29K miles on it. There is zero probability that those rims would have lasted up until the day I purchased it and within the first wash, look the way they do. I tried to talk to a manager higher up. We played phone tag, so emailed him my concerns and sent him photos of the rims. Since the email, he has not responded. Moral of the story- There are a ton of chevy dealerships, select an alternative. They successfully deceived me twice and what they are doing here are despicable commercial methods. I recently bought a Chevy Tahoe I received an amazing deal on the car so easy to work with the people here. The salesperson was great as well as the manager. Bought a used Acura RDX at the Acura dealer in January, I have driven less than 4000 miles, I started to get a bad break pulsation while driving it, less than 2 months into buying the vehicle, minding you that my Carfax stated that my breaks were serviced, prior to them selling me my car. I called them, they scheduled my appointment for this morning, I get to Acura, they tell me they got bought out by another dealer, and that anything that needed to be serviced would have to be serviced by HERB CONNOLLY group - Chevy, which is next dealer over. I then proceed to go there, and drop it off. I get a call from the service tech, saying that out of graciousness they would split the bill to get my rear breaks replaced! WHAT? If my breaks were properly serviced a month a go, why would I need to pay for them? Breaks only last 3000 miles now? Then I get a call from their sales manager DOUG, super rude, not pleasant, not sure how he is a sales person, if he does not have ANY customer service in him. Dropped it off and they wouldn't let me stay till it was done. It was a leaking windshield and bad tires. Couple hr job. Turns out they didn't have anything scheduled for it to be fixed. 3 days to do the windshield and they told me there are no tires available for my truck in any style. Would give no stars if possible. Bought a used Mercedes C300 4matic sport from them. The agreed to replace a tire, do brakes and oil change. It took 3 days for them to have car ready to be picked up. Couple days later, noticed a noise on back end, they hadn't replaced the tire, only plugged it. Brake pads had been put in incorrectly as well. They would not discount price whatsoever for only having a single key, which costs $500 to replace. The financial guy rate shopped to more companies than we were told, one of which ran us again the next day without authorization. Several months go by, we noticed an intermittent noise from the wheel on one side. Take it to another shop, turns out that they put brakes back on even worse 2nd time around - there is a spring in the brake assembly that only fits one way, and it had been put in backwards, leading it to get stuck on occasion, hence why we didn't hear the noise all the time. Everyone hopes they walk into a dealership and avoid the high-pressure pitch, push to sell sell sell. Lou was not even close to that. I purchased a used car at Herb Connolly Chevrolet just under one year ago. I recently brought it to another dealership for a recall, and they told me that it needed some minor repairs. These repairs are covered under the 'one year bumper to bumper warranty'. The second dealership informed me they had no record that this was a 'certified used car' with the warranty, and if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay. I thought, 'no problem I will call the nice people I bought if from and they will straighten it out'. WRONG! They said that all they could do for me was to do the repair if I brought it to their dealership, AND DID SO IN THE REMAINING 6 DAYS OF THE WARRANTY. This is horribly inconvenient! When I suggested they update the records with Chevrolet, they said that it would take more than six days. When I suggested they give me a loaner while they work on it (so we don't have to take 2 cars all the way to the dealership) they said they do not have any available within the timeframe of my warranty. When I suggested they contact my local dealership, they said they could not. My guess is they never entered the car into the Chevrolet database as 'certified pre-owned' saving themselves the cost of the extended warranty, and no that it is needed are unwilling to make good on it. Overall a good experience. Salesman was good. Finance guy needs to learn to take no for an answer. That said: I bought an allegedly "certified pre-owned vehicle." When I got it home I noticed several things that I was disappointed in. 1. The rear wiper blade was gone. That is, the rubber part that actually touches the glass was missing. I had to buy a new wiper blade. 2. There were no floor mats. 3. Brake pads need replacing all the way around. 4. Usually when I've purchased cars in the past they throw a little gas in it for you. Nothin'. First stop was a gas station. 5. The hard sell on the extras (service plan, etc, blah blah blah) by the financial guy was off-putting. Especailly after I told him I'm NOT BUYING ANYTHING EXTRA and he just kept on trying almost to the point of me getting up and walking out. Then when he finally gave up, he went and talked to somebody else and came back and tried again to get me to buy something extra. No means NO, guys! Certified, my ass. Consumer BEWARE! - I went in for an oil leak and had my oil changed the day before. They told me the previous garage when changing my oil cracked the housing when overtightening the oil filter. They charged me 1500.00 for the repair. I requested the part. Three certified mechanics looked at the part. The housing wasn't cracked or damaged in anyway! - It should have been a $8.00 seal and oil change that would have fixed the problem. They won't return my calls. I would not recommend this dealership to my enemy. I decided to purchase a truck for my business and was told they were waiting on a title. OK. How long till you get the title? "No more than 7-10 days." Three weeks later no title. Truck was highly needed so timing was very important. Truck needed to be serviced and repairs needed to be made before purchase. I had my own mechanic inspect vehicle before purchase who had found issues that needed to be addressed before state inspection. Dealership would not make necessary repairs to pass inspection. Dealership then said you can only get inspection sticker through dealership as company policy, but could not provide any proof of policy. If you enjoy getting lied to you will love this dealership. Do not go here!! We arrived for a 2pm APPOINTMENT to pick up a new car. We were told to enter and stand by the door. We did. Our salesperson stood 15feet away talking to another and never even acknowledged us. Eventually telling us he never saw us due to the sun In his eyes. Strange, as there was NO sun there. No one else saw the blinding sun. Another employee came to us after 1/2 hour and guided us to the lounge and a bottle of water. We sat for another 1/2,hour and watch'ed a soap opera. Not one person was watching.that program. Our sales person finally came to get us and said " You need to see the YOUNG PEOPLE! Turns out they are the Finance Professionals (who are the stars at this business.). The salesperson lied to them saying we had been waiting 5 minutes. We waited ONE HOUR TOTAL. The salesperson also said the the registry would not give me a sticker with my green plates. I got a sticker elsewhere with no issues. It is easily readable. He also told me I must finance for at least 3months. Why???! No one else mentioned this. The finance professional (Bob) aka YOUNG PERSON (who was the excellent.) got a manager who was semi interested. He gave me $250 off the car. (Big deal). But stated " we don't pay any attention to YELP reviews." Maybe they should. The majority of the reviews are pitiful! As an aside, while with the Young People, an employee could be seen out the window smoking and spitting!! Yuck! ZAK did a great job of orienting us to the new car. He is knowledgeable and just plain nice! And to top it off, I had trouble getting MY registration from them. I had limited time to get a sticker. Never arrived Tues. Wed or Thursday. I finally got to Rodrigo who very efficiently emailed a copy to me. The original finally arrived on Saturday. In summary, this took up the entire afternoon making my son late for work. Not very welcoming. Sales & Leasing consultant Peter Shumrak didn't greet all of us and led us to a desk were there weren't enough chairs for everyone. After awkwardly standing there while he sat down, we asked if he had any extra chairs - to which he nonchalantly replied, "You can get em." We retrieved chairs from another desk while he watched. Upon our sitting down he promptly asked for the prospective vehicle owner's driver's license. As it was being pulled out of a wallet, he abruptly took it and began filling out a form while asking rapid fire questions - all the while ignoring our initial question. What was he going to use the license for? He became very defensive and agitated. No other dealer had asked for our license, let alone before we discussed anything or without explanation - so we were a bit taken aback. After ignoring our elderly father, he snapped at him to "let me do my job...and get the information I need." He said it was required in order to purchase a vehicle. We wanted to know if the information was going to be used for solicitation purposes in future, credit checks or shared/sold to a third party. He yelled, "Of course not!" He treated us in such an unprofessional/shabby fashion. Within minutes we decided to leave, taking our documentation (that he offered to "shred") with us. They lost the potential sale of 3 vehicles by year end. Who speaks to others in such a discourteous manner, especially customers - and at a time when new vehicle sales in the US are slowing? The sales manager Andrew(?) said sorry but seemed rushed & didn't appear to want to address what happened. The sales consultant has "Mark of Excellence Award Winner" printed on his business card. Bought a car recently from them. Wish I hadn't. It had clearly been hit severely in the back and poorly color matched. They never offered me a Carfax report and when I mentioned it, the manager said that I should've been. That was it. I had to pay to pull my own report. It was in at least 2 accidents. My mechanic tells me it's not square, which is why it pulls to the right even after an alignment. When I tried to bring the car back the next day to cancel the deal they said they would only give me trade in value and keep the deposit I put down, even if I bought another car. John in sales is sketchy at best. Seemed annoyed that he had to do his job. If you do buy a car there have an independent mechanic check it out. read more
