I ordered coffee and it was cold my wife ordered sweet tea with lemon, when the food came it was cold, but when we went in we saw some friends who were eating so we spoke to them, the waiter charged us for being with a group I asked why, his answer was he said that he saw us talk to the people who were eating. 9/10 times the food is great. The rest of the time, it may just be ok, but I've never had anything here that was actually bad. If you're in an omelette kind of mood, I would suggest the Philly cheesesteak omelette or the cheeseburger omelette. I decided to try something new, and ordered the shrimp and grits. We were going to Pooler for business and found Henry's as a place to go for lunch. Check the website to see the lunch menu and downloaded the pdf file. Great menu. Got at the resto in Pooler and things are not the same. Opening hours are 6:30 to 3pm (not 11 to 8pm) and the menu is mainly breakfast and some other good items. Realized that the website is for the resto in NC and this one is very different, local, morning hours, focus on breakfast and simple food. Our server was alone on the floor but very nice and experienced. She was handling all the orders with a smile and very efficiently. Food was good, resto was clean, and the kitchen is open, and we could see how clean and organized it was (kudo). It's a great local resto but it should have it's own web page on Henry's website not just a Facebook page. Because of that we felt a little miffed by the disconnect between what we expected and what the real place was. If the owner will provide better information about Henry's in pooler, it's a great local place to go. read more

We came to savannah to visit our daughter and her fiancee. The place was packed and incredibly clean. The kids ordered shrimp and grits and hash browns. My wife ordered shrimp omelette and biscuits and gravy. I ordered philly cheese steak omelette and a pancake. The staff was friendly, and the food actually came out fast and hot. I mostly been a regular customer at the downtown location. Now that I work at the airport I have started going to the one in Pooler. My breakfast usually cost me $11.40 with add ons ( onion and cheese in my hash browns). Today I was informed that to get a to-go tea was going to cost me another $1. So I just moved to Pooler and my daughter was looking up places to eat and came across this and it was right by the house, so we thought we would give it a try. Came in at 9 on a Sunday and while busy we were easily able to find a seat. They offer a buffet or menu items and we chose the buffet. Lots of options on the buffet including biscuits, gravy, eggs, corned beef hash, pancakes, muffins, etc. Everything we got was hot and tasted good. We were recommended by Charlie at the hotel Indigo to come to Henry's for breakfast. He was so right. Greeted pleasantly as we walked in. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. I'm picky so I was surprised when my food was just the way I liked. Our waitress Casey was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. By the way, kitchen is immaculate. We opted for the breakfast buffet which had several options available for $10.50/head. The buffet included - biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash brown, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, pancakes, french toast sticks, corn beef hash, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. - The Service was good, we had drink refills and our plates were cleared promptly. - The biscuits on the buffet were the best! Huge, fluffy, and hot. They had butter and a selection of jams on the table to go with. - The rest of the food I tried was just okay, nothing to write home about, but decent for a breakfast buffet. No complaints, but nothing phenomenal. - They don't serve booze, which was disappointing because I really wanted a mimosa. - Also, nothing on the buffet was labeled, which was a little frustrating. DIRTY HANDS ON FOOD! I'd give a negative star if I could. We were visiting family and thought we'd try it for brunch. Never again! I have no clue what the food might taste like, it was too unsanitary for me to stay. When we arrived their checkin/hostess area was in total disarray. The others folks waiting said their organization was nonexistent. We were on the tail end of that rush so we were seated before too long. We were at the very first table between the buffet and kitchen. At a glance the buffet was unimpressive. The food all appeared previously frozen including the biscuits. I watched as the hostess/ cashier switched to cook and proceeded to handle food without gloves. I was surprised, but the was a sink right there so I assumed she had washed her hands and I hadn't noticed. This made me wary so I was watching her as she handled toast and used her fingers to push food around on previously plated meals. She then (without washing or using gloves) went back to working the cash register and then returned to cooking by grabbing raw hash browns with dirty bare hands and put them on the grill. The nasty woman still didn't wash her hands. Our waitress arrived to take our drink order so I asked her who the woman was....it was the owners wife!!! Health grade A!?! I THINK NOT!!! Even after the waitress shared my observation with her she still didn't wash her filthy hands, she begrudgingly put on gloves. I will NEVER return or recommend them!!!! Nasty.
