Henry's on clay is the cutest brunch place! Not only is the inside fun and decorated nicely, but the food is out of this world! The home fries are absolutely incredible so make sure to get them with whatever meal you've opted for. I've also enjoyed the burger (a few different times), the Henry Carl, and the breakfast burrito! This has been a must-go with friends while I've been in the Scranton area and where I've taken anyone visiting! I would recommend this place to any! Not sure how I really feel about eating here. I dined inside once, the tables were practically on top of each other and the service wasn't good. Our server forgot everything we asked for and I even had to get up multiple times to the front counter to ask for stuff like water, ketchup, etc. since our server would forget and disappear for a long time. I ordered take out twice and even that experience is a hot mess. I was told each time 25 minutes, I came after 30 and the food still wasn't ready and I had to stand in the middle of tables to wait for my food since there's no room. Also the food is more expensive than the charges listed on the menu so be prepared for that. I think this place could be much better if they had more staff and a bigger space. read more

This morning my fiancé and I wanted to try a brand new place for Valentine's Day brunch. We have smaller kids so we decided to place an order online, pick it up and enjoy at home. I placed my order for 11:45am pickup online then soon after received an email that our food will be done for 12:00pm. No big deal, after all, it IS Valentine's Day. I pulled up to the front of the joint and the first thing I thought was "wow, where the heck do I park?" That corner of Clay Ave is very residential (lots of houses) and VERY tight for a 2-way street. I walked in and had a short wait before a hostess asked me if I was being helped. Fast forward 25 minutes, our food is finally done and let me TELL YOU. When i got home and we opened everything up... we were in awe by how aesthetically gorgeous the food was! My fiancé had the DGR burger with Henry's home fries and I had the French toast with berries and Henry's home fries and a chocolate covered strawberry latte. Everything was beyond our expectations and totally worth the wait due to the Valentine's Day rush!!! We will definitely be visiting again! read more

Went there and our server didn't introduce herself to us and when we asked for an extra minute to look at the menu she didn't come back for 10 minutes. churros were very good, but my french onion soup had an odd tangy taste that i did not enjoy. Also ordered the waffles with berries and i asked for no berry sauce, but when it arrived it had sauce on it. I did not have time to wait for another order. the berry sauce was so sweet and unappetizing that i couldn't eat my waffles. the home fries were sweet for some reason and soggy. Breakfast burrito was very tasty though. Also when i tried to get my servers attention to get some more water she rudely put her hand up to me and went to another table. overall i didn't have a great experience and was expecting much better. read more

This is a hidden gem! A friend recommended it and my girlfriend and I went to check it out. We were driving through a residential neighborhood and thought we put in the wrong address but low and behold there was Henry's on Clay. Great atmosphere and great service. I wish I remembered our servers name but he was a big bearded guy with a great personality. Pretty sure the owners were working the counter which is always awesome to see. The food was great as well. Some very unique takes on things like burritos and gyros. Portion size was crazy for the low price. Expect to bring home leftovers and plenty of money still in your wallet. We went to Henry's after a recommendation from a friend led us to view the beautiful food pictures on Yelp. I had the Dutch Baby, which is a frequent special according to our server, Chris - they switch out the fillings and flavors. It did not disappoint! My husband had the Fritatta Trio, and it looked and tasted amazing. Upon hearing that there were first time diners, Henry, the owner, came out and introduced himself. Worst experience at a restaurant thus far. A couple of my girlfriends and i wanted to go out for a nice brunch. Upon getting there they didn't have enough room, so we decided to split up our group into four and two. We put our bags on the table next to us to save two spots for our friends who were coming about ten minutes after us so no one would sit there (as we were told that table was ours). We were asked SEVERAL times to move our bags by different waiters to seat other people after we repeatedly told them why our bags were there. That was the first red flag. The waiter then asked if we were doing separate checks, and we said yes. We were ready to pay then all of a sudden we were told by a rude waitress who just seemed to want to get us out of there as fast as possible that we couldn't split the check, after we were specially told we would. None of us had enough money on our cards so we pooled cash for ONE of us to pay (totally inconvenient) and i took the cash up to the register and asked to pay the rest of it with apple pay. the hostess rudely said it would "mess with the system" and asked if i had another way to pay. thankfully i did, but i was frankly still very annoyed. then i was asked to tip. i was so angry about this whole situation where three different waiters were rude to us, so i tipped one whole dollar. petty, i know, but i didn't care, as the service was terrible. next thing i know i am seeing posts on instagram from a waiter about how my table was so rude to only tip a dollar! i was outraged. henrys on clay i hope you know how immature and rude your waiters are! do better!!! read more

Went here for 3 friends and it was all our first time eating here. Wait time for 4 people was just over 30 min. They were super busy and were doing the best they could serving everyone. Staff was super nice and engaging making us feel welcome. The food was excellent and the churros were amazing!!! 3/4 people ordered them and I even took some home. A nice atmosphere with a 'Soho' feel. The only downside is the waiting inside. It was super crammed so we stood outside for most our wait. (Sunday at brunch hour) Wish it was a bigger place so I didn't feel I was standing over others while they were enjoying food. Overall, good experience. We will be back. read more

Such a cute place and their food is delicious! I've been there a few times now and everything I've had has been absolutely delicious! Although it's new it seems to always be packed which is great to see! My only complaint is that they don't have many vegan options if any vegan options so i wish they'd put something on the menu so i cant bring my vegan friends there but hopefully one day they'll add more clearly labeled vegan options.
