Don't come here on Wing Night Wednesday.. We made the mistake of coming here on wing night. We got our appetizer, chips and dip. Chips were homemade and burnt... 3/10. Dip was fine, probably out of a packet. Little did we know those burnt chips would be the only thing we would be eating for an hour with little to no refills. Seemed to be forgotten about with us being inside and I guess everyone else in the back. After an hour, our food came out. I got the brisket tacos, they were good. 8/10. My table got a chicken cheesesteak and ask for no mushrooms and ofc it came out with mushrooms... We had to get the wings, the wings were good! An hour wait good? No. 7/10. It took a weird amount of time for our last entree to come out and it was just like chicken tenders on a bun, no love. Oh and the pulled pork sandwich was more like slop. Typical bar food, lots of seating - they have the initial bar and then an additional back room where we had to move to during a dumpster fire that happened right in front of their restaurant. The only restaurant where I get Delicious Smoked Chicken Wings. I don't know any other place that has this. It's a unique flavor and taste, it has a HUGE selection of beers as well, is like 4 pages on the beer menu..lolol a lifetime to taste them all..jaja! There is a backyard section for drinking eating, my favorite. Customer service is excellent. All the food items I tasted were great, too many to list one by one. Best eating experience. Went during the games on Sunday and there was still plenty of seating both inside and outside. We sat at the bar as there were no low tops available and brought our dog with us, Marshmallow with us as its dog friendly outside. We had a really great time. Crowd was lively, bartenders were called by name so it goes to show tons of regulars. Service was great and food was amazing as well. We came back again because we gave the food a 4.5 last year. We sat at the bar last night and had very good service. Our bartender was friendly, attentive and checked in on us frequently. My husband ordered the Banjo pig, their version of a Cuban sandwich. He absolutely loved it and said it was the best he has ever had. I ordered the vegetarian tacos which were a letdown. The tacos came out room temperature and there didn't seem to be much to the taco besides the beyond crumbles. I ordered a side salad which was very good but it was served in a banana split bowl. It was hard to eat so we decided to spread it out on our empty plate and it was tasty. My husband is still dreaming of his sandwich therefore a negotiation will most likely be occurring for our next visit here. read more

Came here on the Friday of Cardboard Classic and really enjoyed the entire evening. It was a great atmosphere: we sat in the front room with the bar but you could tell it was busy in the back. The alcohol list is extensive. We were served relatively fast: very clear the wait staff just grabs whatever table and helps where they can. My husband got the smoked wings, I got the steak tacos. Tacos were absolutely delicious and the shell being crispy was a really unique touch. The wings were good but the clear winner here is the sauce: it's like a cross between a spicy ketchup and a barbecue sauce, but lighter? Very delicious! read more

I enjoy going to the BYA when I'm in Scranton. Nice selection of micros on tap. I prefer eating in the backyard, but a little tough to do in the winter. The bar area is a classic pub with dark wood, plenty of room at the bar with lots of table seating. Parking is on street. Service was good. I had 2 awesome IPAs and the BBQ sampler with a side of mac n cheese. I love their Mac. One of my favorites. My BBQ Sampler choice was pork, ribs and brisket. It was a huge portion. I wasn't overly excited with either the brisket or the ribs. In my opinion there was way too much much dry rub. Pork was awesome and so was the cornbread. read more

If you are in Biden town on travel, come here for a huge variety of beer and great BBQ! Came here on work travel in Scranton, home of the Office, and was surprised at this place and location. It's sort of by itself in a small town. But it definitely has great beer at great prices. The BBQ platters are also great too. I came here during the week on an evening and ate on the outside patio so can't really say how it is on the weekend. We came in around 7:30pm on Saturday and there was free street parking alongside the restaurant. We were immediately seated and we chose the back room to dine. I sat underneath a warm ceiling heater and felt comfortable the whole evening. The service was great and attentive! We ordered a few beers on draft and they were super affordable at like $5.50 to $7 a 16oz glass! We ordered the Backyard Beef Philly which is served with a house cheese sauce similar to that of Cheese Whiz. The beef was thinly sliced and seasoned well. I personally prefer provolone over this house sauce. We also ordered a BBQ platter consisting of the pulled pork, brisket, and baby back ribs. The BBQ sauce reminded me of a Carolina-style barbecue flavor which I thoroughly enjoyed! The pineapple slaw was unique and gave a sweetness to the rest of the meal. The corn bread was overly dense but not too sweet. We ordered a side of fries well-done but unfortunately, they were soggy! Overall, enjoyed my dining experience as well as the food. I could see the vibes of the venue to be wonderful in the summer. I'm sure the roof in the back opens up. The music played during the night had me in dancing while waiting and eating! This fun, casual bar is conveniently located and was a great stop to break up a long trip home on an 8-hour road trip. I've been to this bar multiple times and only enjoyed it once. 90% of the time it is incredibly packed and you're literally shoulder-to-shoulder with everyone or nut-to-butt as some say. It takes forever to get a drink, there's nowhere to sit, the bathroom line is way too long, and it's too loud to talk to your friends because of how many people they let in. Without a doubt they are exceeding their occupancy limit. Probably by 2x if I had to guess. They just simply need to restrict the number of customers. Hopefully in the future they can add a second floor or a second location to keep up with the demand and create more space.Most bars are crowded so normally I wouldn't let that really affect my review but this place is worse than normal. Here is the real reason for my 2-star review. My girlfriend and her friends went to the bathroom and a male janitor tried to force his way in. The girls were telling him that they were in the middle of peeing and he did not care and barged his way in. Some girls tried to hold the door closed but he went in regardless. My girlfriend was still in the stall when he started mopping underneath the stall she was in. She felt very uncomfortable because of this and had to run out. The janitor did not give them a warning or give them anytime to finish. He just showed up to the door and went straight in. There's no excuse for this. Simply just wait until the woman's room is clear before entering or just have a female worker clean the woman's room. I hope that this janitor was just a terrible employee and that this is not standard procedure. If you're looking for somewhere to go on a Friday or Saturday night, I would recommend that you try somewhere else. If you're looking for somewhere to go at any other time of the week, then this place is actually nice when it's not busy. read more
