Such a fun and trendy hotel! Came to BK for the weekend to attend a show and so glad we booked a room here! There's plenty of street parking and the hotel is very easy to locate. If your into the house club scene this is a perfect hotel to stay at since it's about 10min away from Avant Gardner. Front desk was very friendly and welcoming and before checking out they recommended some local coffee shops to stop at. There's a complimentary continental breakfast station which a nice little surprise. As far as our room goes, it was soooo spacious, clean, smelled really good, and it was quiet! We didn't hear any noise in the halls or from outside. I was really taken back by how much space there was and how high the ceilings were. Felt like we were renting a loft apartment as opposed to go staying in a hotel. If we are ever in the BK area again we will for sure be staying here again!

We stayed here this summer. We were in one of the rooms on the ground floor. It was a really large room, especially for NYC. It was a little bit of a basement feel, but at the same time, nicely decorated. The hotel itself was nicely decorated as well, and the check-in staff and evening staff were really great. We really enjoyed using the outdoor deck space. We purchased a bottle of wine and were given glasses to take up with us. The view was really beautiful. If you don't mind doing a lot of walking (which I imagine you are ready for on a city adventure), the location is good, with quite a few options. However, I did have to take a star out for the check-out clerk. He was rude and snooty as we left 2 minutes (yes, literally only 2 minutes) past the checkout time on a Sunday. I don't think it was necessary, especially for an off the beaten path location like this, and it REALLY turned me off to this spot.

Beautiful space in a great location, walking distance to all sorts of cool stuff. The fourth floor rooftop rooms are very cool.

    Their rude messages to me.

This hotel charged to stay even though I canceled and rebooked at their sister hotel, the Franklin guesthouse. They will not refund me and are sending me crazy messages on hotels.com. No one will call me back or make it right. I can't believe a business is allowed to treat people this way.

The decor is FABULOUS! I booked this room on expedia. It is Located in Williamsburg, which is very yuppie, and gentrified, so I must have received a discount. It is Located in an industrial neighborhood, so I heard trucks driving by all night. My room is also in the basement, when I would have preferred to be on the ground level. You have to put $250 on hold on your card, in case you order food or drinks at the hotel. It is a 19 minute-walk from Brooklyn Bowl. I was in town for a concert there. I could hear my neighbors at night also, AND smell the MJ they were smoking! Continental breakfast is from 8-10a. It's basically pastries.

First night at hotel my daughter noticed what looked like blood spots on the floor and wall near the bed. The management moved us to another room. There was no apology, no follow-up to the incident.

This property looks gorgeous online. I booked a room via Booking.com for an upcoming birthday a month in advance. Today, a week before my stay I was called/texted multiple times by the hotel. When I called them back I was asked a series of questions and I was told that I would be staying at The Box hotel instead. When I asked why, the rep blamed it on COVID, stating that The Box is their sister hotel and that they move people there at their whim. I am familiar with The Box hotel and did not like any of the rooms available. I chose Henry Norman because I liked their setup and wanted their specific penthouse. It sounds like they are pulling the old switch-a-room trick. The rep stated that there are no rooms at the Henry Norman and that all guest are being moved. I find that hard to believe and if that is the case then remove the listing from Booking.com. I understand that companies are trying to recoup losses but tricking customers isn't the way to go about it. So much for my birthday staycation.

This hotel is located in Greenpoint- walking around there seemed to be a polish influence based on local businesses. The room was really big- think small studio- kitchenette, sofa area with flatscreen TV- It had these crazy high ceilings. This is a boutique hotels, so if you normally do large chains this is not for you. Also-(as noted in other reviews)- you do hear outside noise. It's located smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood with industrial buildings nearby- so there seemed to be traffic noises that happened pretty early and late. It was very clean and very comfortable. I loved the shampoo, lotion, conditioner, and shower gel setup- it contained essential oils and smelled great. It is away from the Manhattan area, so you need to know this going in, but the nearest subway(Nassau G rain) is about .4 miles away. There are lots of places to eat on Manhattan ave and Nassau- short walk about .5 miles away. I ate at Scalinos for dinner and again at lunch the next day- It was soooo good. I chose this hotel on the backend of a trip(return home) because it is close to LGA. It was a $30 UBER ride from the hotel, but knowing what I know now- you could take the train(if you don't have much luggage). This hotel was beautifully decorated and had a great feel. This will be my go to when iN New York.

Sinks need at least a small shelf to put toiletries.

That said, the amenities could use some TLC. They give you loose coffee grounds, but who knows how fresh they are, and there were only two bags of tea... both looking a little past their prime. You can hear the highway, but it's still quieter than staying at the Moxy on the other side of Williamsburg where the train overhead and hallway noise never let up. Since we have pets, they've put us in the back of the hotel both times, which definitely feels like a pattern. Parking is inconvenient and not attached to the building. And the destination fee -- for what, exactly? It feels unnecessary and a little insulting, especially considering the location is just okay at best, basically under the BQE.

My room came to about 435 dollars for one night. The lobby and room are super basic, absolutely nothing special (kind of reminiscent of a Ramada Inn or some similar budget hotel). It pains me to pay that much for basic, yes, even in New York City (and we ARE talking Brooklyn here, even if one of the. most trendy, happening neighborhoods). So, while there was absolutely nothing wrong with my stay, I'm a bit bitter about blowing that much money on a hotel that's so low brow, they actually called me 10 minutes before check out time to remind me that it was check-out time. What? That has literally never happened to me before.

The room is so small, I can't even open my suitcase, and I have to maneuver around it, just to get around the room. Paper thin walls. My room is between two others, so on one side I hear people arguing, on the other, a couple having relations - it's about 3am as I write this. The street noise is relentless. As others have written, cigarette and marijuana smoke can be smelled in the hallway. The heater/air conditioner is wildly inconsistent and my room keeps shifting from hot to cold. The carpet is old and falling apart. The bathroom is about 1 foot from the bed and has a sliding door, that doesn't provide much privacy. If you're traveling with someone, you REALLY have to be cool with hearing everything they do in the bathroom. If your bathroom and toilet isn't enough, because of the super thin walls, be prepared to hear EVERY. SINGLE. TOILET that may be surrounding you at all hours of the night. The staff has been nice, but I arrived about 30 minutes early and was told my room was ready, but I wouldn't be allowed to check in unless I paid a $50 fee, which I refused. I was told I could wait in the dining area to have breakfast (which wasn't actually available). There was coffee and water, but I was not about to eat pastries that had literally just been stored by a sanitation bucket. I can't believe this is what you get for about $500 a night. Not four-star at all. While the hotel is in Williamsburg, don't expect to feel safe or comfortable walking back to this place at night. I may be traveler, but I actually grew up in Brooklyn, this is not a place a would recommend to anyone. It's on a poorly lit, poor foot traffic part of the neighborhood, the creepy highway underpass alone is enough to give anyone pause. My job has me booked here for four days, but I'm leaving in the morning. This is a fine place for people looking for a party hotel or twenty-somethings trying to save some money, but for most adult or business travelers, you will find it extremely lacking. The room was clean. The shower was fine.

We spend our first night as husband and wife at the same location where had a special boudoir shoot for my future husband to cherish forever ! And it'll be special for the both of us! On May 19th I was told it was $450 for the shot! Great! I'll spend it and pay my photographer,it's worth it! 2 days later I was told their policy changed! 2 days!!!!!! If it's so important why was I told otherwise by their own employee) Anyway I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
