I went to meet a colleague on May 14th, who stayed there overnight. He is big Marriott member, as am I, but I am the only IHG member so he missed out. We were planning to go to Kellogg Diner but the tall gentleman overheard our plans and flashed 2 menus. He seemed so friendly, I made the decision to stay at the lobby bar to dine. We were then greeted by Ashley behind the bar who welcomed us with a friendly smile and offering her services to help. We both ordered bagel sandwiches and Ashley's expert coffee preparations. The cook, who also was friendly, delivered the warm sandwiches to us at the bar. He did a nice job of preparing our breakfast i remarked. I actually enjoyed it. The whole while, Ashley checked in on us to see if we were OK. It was a nice morning experience and most likely will return do to the staff there, especially Ashley!! Nice little "cafe".

I stayed here over the weekend for my birthday. The hotel was nice. I liked the room. The shower was really nice with a rainfall shower head. The beds were really low to the ground and not as comfy as the usual hotel bed. The hotel had a cafe/bar and restaurant inside. For breakfast, I went to the cafe. And for dinner, I went to the restaurant. The food was delicious at both places. They had a rooftop but it was negative degrees that weekend. The hotel was in a great location. The hotel staff were friendly. I picked this hotel because it was near Bathhouse Spa. I would stay here again.

The location of the hotel is between Union & Metropolitan next to the diner & the G train station. You would definitely get lost if you take a Uber/Lyft. Walkable area, close to downtown The hotel itself is nice, I had no complaints on check-in it went smoothly. They do charge $10 for ice so FYI use the "bodega" They offered breakfast, have dinning restaurants you can eat from, (didn't get a chance to visit) They have a pool on the 4th floor which you need to take a different elevator for. The pool has a bar which is nice. The room was spacious for 1 person knowing NYC spaces. The room seemed clean for the most part. Bed was low to the ground, that was different but the shower was nice & they provided a steamer for your clothes. I would stay again

Nice hotel with a great location. Quiet rooms that are surprisingly spacious for Brooklyn. Nice staff. Overall nice experience. I'll stay again!

Not terrible but not great either. Still, a decent option for a decent price. Pros: Literally steps from the L train station. Doesn't get any closer than this. Perfect for my needs commuting into Chelsea. Extremely close to tons of restaurants, a grocery, coffee shops. Generally safe area. A great fast coffee shop in the lobby with pastries. Efficient service and decent coffee. Checkout was fast and convenient even middle of the night. Lobby area feels safe and well attended, elevators secured by card. Generally clean and utilities worked, fixtures and toiletries are what you'd expect from a hotel indigo. Water pressure and hot water worked great. Cons: Not the greatest maintained but tolerable for nyc. For example, cabinet doors that were misaligned, an alarm clock with inaccurate time, giant hairball by the closet when I came in. Lighting is really harsh with a giant cold white ring light above your bed. Gives creepy operating room vibes. Not sure what designer thought this would be a look. Can be loud - sirens constantly on highway outside hotel, parties next door until late.

Was SO excited to stay here because this is my childhood neighborhood and booked 7 nights. Unfortunately, beyond an excellent check-in and one great dinner, everything went downhill quickly. When I arrived, Johnny at the front desk was wonderful - warm, welcoming! At Aliya, Vivian was incredible and the food during my first dinner was delicious. The service that night reflected true hospitality. Breakfast was consistently disappointing. On my 1st morning the staff seemed more focused on chatting loudly about the US Open and using their phones than serving guests. At one point, the server sat down to eat with their hands and then got up to prepare drinks. They also opened a plastic bottle of orange juice and poured it into a plastic cup, which is wasteful. Even seated guests were being served coffee and juice in disposable plastic instead of reusable glassware. The 2nd morning, no one was present at breakfast despite guests waiting. After a 5 mins we went to the front desk and were told there was only one person, likely in the back. After more waiting, most of us ended up leaving without being served. The 3rd morning there was efficiency thanks to Ashley, who worked quickly and effectively. However, she was by herself handling a sold-out hotel at peak breakfast time and the wait was long. After that, I never returned to breakfast again, and all of my breakfast vouchers went to waste. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. Returned to my room at 4 PM on the 4th day, and it had not been serviced and was late to dinner. On another night, had requested that my sheets be changed, but when I returned to the room they had not been touched despite waiting patiently in the lobby to give housekeeping space. The amenities were another low point. On one afternoon the pool and restaurant were closed for a private event without any notice to guests. That meant no pool access, no restaurant access, and not even a place to get a glass of water at 4 PM on a Thursday. While a staff member offered me a glass of wine instead, I was surprised to be charged $24 for it. Given the $40 per night resort fee, it felt inappropriate to charge guests full fees while restricting access to basic spaces and not communicating in advance. The front desk offered to remove the resort fee for that day, but was still charged for it when I checked out. Adding to the frustration, the rooms are noisy. The combination of the HVAC system, the nearby expressway, and the pool area made it difficult to rest. Finally, the checkout experience sealed my opinion. Midweek, I had asked that my status be honored with late checkout, and the front desk had agreed. On the final morning, even with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, housekeeping knocked and told me I had to leave immediately. When I called the front desk, was told the hotel was at maximum capacity and needed to check out right away. I skipped a shower and rushed to pack, requesting a bell cart to move my luggage. 20 minutes later no one had arrived, I called again, was told all carts were being used for the private event and none were available. Someone from Bell services came up, without a cart and was willing to carry my numerous pieces of luggage down without a cart. I tipped him and said that I would be back once getting a car. Returned with the rental car and the car was in front of the hotel, and he rolled up the luggage, with my trunk door opened and didn't offer assistance getting the stuff into the car. Also realized when I was far away that he didn't include my bag of groceries from across the street, so lost $45. This property has potential, but the operations are clearly dysfunctional. Departments are not aligned, communication is poor, and basic guest expectations are not being met. While some individual employees were truly excellent, the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. I left saddened, because I had been genuinely excited for this stay in my old neighborhood, but will not return and cannot recommend this hotel.

We were in the neighborhood to visit family and decided to stay here. It was pretty busy as it was July 4th. We had the balcony room. Everything was clean and spacious. It was close to some shops, they had a garage, but that's separate from the hotel. All that mattered to us is that everything was clean. We were only there for a night, so we didn't have any complaints. Everything was straight forward.

This review is for the hotel day pass for the pool. When u get off the elevators u have a nice seating area & bar. We got a Day pass during the summer & it was not bad, by the time we arrive there was no seating available so we sat by the couches which was decent. We wanted to get a dessert since we happen to be celebrating a bday but they do not have any food options, we ended up getting drinks & tried the Zombie beach frozen drink it was not bad good taste but really not worth the $18 dollar price tag. Decent size pool as long as it's not crazy crowded its a good size but overall its not very big. we had an enjoyable afternoon as the pool served it's purpose the day pass was worth giving it a try.

While attending a community fundraiser& fellowship kickoff, it was a fabulous stay in the heart of Brooklyn at Hotel Indigo. Next door housed a 24 hour diner, it was right up the street from our venue and the stay was everything I expected New York to be, nothing more, nothing less! Ambiance Rooms 4/5 Stunning hotel, fresh sheets, great foyer, lobby, rooftop, and bar with amazing room views to the hustle and bustle of New York. They didn't have a microwave or Kerig coffee machine but that's just my personal preference. Sheets, room temps, bathroom, towels and space were suitable for my stay. Service 4/5 Front desk service was pleasant and check-in was smooth sailing after credit card and identification verification. As you can imagine, we were not in the hotel much however we ate at the diner next door, it was too convenient. Food N/A - Fortunate for our group, we had an all expense paid trip : D We ate breakfast at the 24 hour diner right next to the hotel and of course NYC Time's Square pizza, Bubba Shrimp and all the otha food. My healthy eating went right out the door. I for sure put on the pounds and slight double chin. lbss. Overall 4/5 Great stay, accommodations, service and ambiance especially the rooftop bar. The pool was opened however we didn't get to indulge. Maybe next time! 10 out of 10, I would recommend!

    Parking garage $37 per day.

Not sure what I expected but guess it was a little more than what I got. I get it's New York so the room was small but...??? Pluses are that the hotel seems relatively new, well maintained and has amenities. The bed was firm but pillows needed a little more stuffing. Also, bed seemed a little lower than most. The bathroom was decent sized. The shower was a combination rain style (water falls straight down) with a hand held nozzle as well. Water pressure and temperature was good. Definite plus. The room had a single, small chair in the corner that one would find more in a waiting room. The hard plastic desk chair with bad rollers was a definite turn off. The desk was small with a single outlet on the wall next to it. Tried using the outlet for charging batteries without much success. There was a second outlet near the bed which seemed to work better. My room was the "city view" room. Yes in the distance I could see the Empire State Building but the foreground of graffiti buildings and the Interstate definitely does not justify the added cost. Even in the sixth floor the road noise was present. There is a lobby with a bar serving extremely overpriced drinks. The restaurant was closed so food had to be found elsewhere. I highly recommend the taco truck parked across the street. There is a parking garage adjacent to the building. It's valet as they stack the cars. $37 per day. Also the subway station is located at the corner. It took about 20 minutes to drive over from LaGuardia Airport. In all it was an ok stay. Friendly staff, well maintained, parking available. Just expected a little more from this chain.

A rude woman who did little to correct her mistake. Now I'm wet. I went to the bar to ask if they'd replace the drink. The bartender immediately said "no go ask the manager." Well alrighty! I find the manager and he proceeds to re-explain the situation as "so you want us to buy you a drink? It's not our fault or responsibility." We're adults. I never placed blame. A peculiar thing to say considering I just bought the drink and I'm in your establishment. Felt pretty short tbh. Not sure why I was expecting a different tone. He eventually just offers me a shot. I don't particularly like shots so I kindly slid the remainder of the spilled drink and declined the shot, suggesting that Managment show the next customer a little more grace and respect in tone. Obviously an establishment isn't responsible for spilled drinks and don't have to be kind at all. I get that. But I guess that's what separates a great establishment from a mediocre one just selling drinks and not an experience. Good luck to them.

My main concern when looking for a hotel in NY/Brooklyn was having a microwave and fridge, and thankfully our room had both. We stayed in a room with a window facing an extremely busy intersection, with honking going on all day and into the night, but thankfully, the windows were thick enough to block out most of the noise. The AC sound also helped drown it out. The room and restroom also felt spacious for what you get in NY. There was daily breakfast, which was your typical hotel breakfast with a variety of options that changed daily. It's about a one-mile walk to get to DUMBO, which wasn't bad at all, even when we had to do it in the rain. The subway is about a 10 minute walk, and there are two corner stores down the street. Honestly not a bad location! Just be careful when crossing that crazy busy intersection! I would stay here again!

Anytime I requested or asked for something, I would be told it's 'done' and that I'm 'good to go', but inevitably I would find out that NOTHING had actually been done!! This led to me also receiving very rude interactions with the housekeeping managers, who would act like I was in the room without permission due to the lack of communication between any of the staff here regarding my check-out times and other such issues.
