The worker kept us hostage for a while. Grabbing our fingers without permission and making weird comments about the size of our fingers. I picked out a ring and she said I shouldn't get it since it's too big which was her opinion since I had tried it on. Overall I think she wanted a friend. She made a few deez nuts jokes that were misplaced and inappropriate and we could not wait to get out of there. Then that day one of our rings snapped after barely any use. As soon as I stepped into I could feel my complete soul at peace. The staff was so wonderful and honestly fun to chat with. The girl who did my art was amazing (I'm so sad I'm horrible with names-long hair, taller and very kind). I showed her what I usually get on my phone and let her know to just go with the flow to make it her owns. While I was being assisted, two guests, a man and a woman, came in just to point out a beautiful steel drum and scoff at the price. "You can get one of these on Amazon for $30," he said loudly. I said that was rude and that you're not going to get a real, high quality steel drum from Amazon for $30. I came in the other day and I had a positive, beautiful experience that I felt I needed to leave a review. I was immediately welcomed when I came in by a lovely women who ended up helping me tremendously! She helped me look for rings I was actually interested in (not trying to sell me something I didn't want) she helped me find some crystals and was very seasoned to what each crystal was and it's purpose. If I could give this place ZERO stars I wouldn't hesitate. If I could rate my henna artist alone I would give her 5 stars. I came here two days before my wedding day to get henna on my ring hand. Simple and elegant design something to really show off my ring. What I got was a brides worst nightmare. The henna artist who did the work mentioned that she was new and when she finished told me that it would take 2hrs to dry. Ok waited 3 1/2hrs before bed. Woke up with BLACK blobs all over my hands, arms and FACE. I scrubbed my face raw with all of the suggestions on google and bawled my eyes out in horror and got there right as they opened the next day. Unfortunately the manager/supervisor on staff didn't care that it was the day before my wedding and I was covered in black ink. In fact she demanded *several* times not just once that I needed to pay her more money because the "product is expensive" I ended up getting half assed childish like drawings on my left hand to cover as much as she was "allowed to". I then had to go spend $75 in make up to cover my black face. You wouldn't go to a restaurant and get someone's order wrong and spit in their face and ask for more money when they ask you to fix it. The cost of doing business when you don't take the time to train your employees correctly should without a doubt be accepted by management. I should have AT LEAST received a refund for the shitty artwork and semi permanent ink I had to sport on my special day. I am disgusted with this business and I hope they never ruin someone else's special day like they did to me. UPDATE: the owner Sam has reached out to me and apologized profusely for my experience and has done what he can to make the situation right. I've received a full refund along with a gift card to the Henna shoppe. I was walking in Chandler Fashion Center when we came across The Henna Place. I was dazzled by the things for sale. Clothes, jewelry, wind chimes just to name a few. What attracted me most was the adorable young woman behind the Henna table. She wrote in beautiful cursive, the free word of the month, "BLOOM " with a small flower at the end of the word. Do not shop at this store or any other of these stores in the valley. They don't care about their customers or their employees. They are sooo money hungry that they are willing to sacrifice the employees and costumers to coming in contact with covid. They won't close the store for even one day to sanitize due to covid exposure. Instead they wanted to keep it a secret, hush hush and not let anyone know. Also fired an employee, a manager who tried to do the right thing and let employees know that they were exposed and need to get tested. But that manager was ultimately fired because she was telling employees. They are too worried about the money they won't be making during one day of being closed to clean and getting tested. Loved this place until today, was going to return two rings that were supposedly "sterling silver" to them today due to the fact that they gave me a severe reaction. Sterling silver doesn't give me a reaction but these rings did which is why I wanted to return them. I paid 40$ for these rings because they were supposed to be sterling silver.
