Hemingway Brunch was a very pleasant surprise! Our group of 7 had brunch here on a Saturday morning and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The restaurant is super cute on the inside and my group was able to take some great pictures while waiting. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name) was the best! I started with the Espresso Martini and it was one of the best drinks I've ever had. The other guests had the Bailey's Cream (w/coffee) and Cranberry Mimosa and they were delicious also! I had the Meat Lovers Omelet w/breakfast potatoes and pancakes. Everything was so yummy and I loved that they brought out warm syrup with the pancakes. This place was great. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was amazing. Around my table we got the Oreo panned, the cinnaholic pancakes, the avocado omelet, the chicken fried steak, the country Benny, the California Benny, and the French Benny. Everyone loved their food and it came out quickly. Definitely get in line before you show up even if it says there's not a big line. Came here with some family for my birthday and the waiter, Bryan, saw my birthday card on the table and brought out an extra special birthday surprise at the end of the meal! So nice! But we will get to that at the end... To start with, I got a Cafe Americano with caramel to drink- yummy! For food, my husband and I got two omelettes that we shared- Bacon Avocado and the Hemingway. They were both great! The sides were plentiful and we were so super full- fluffy pancakes, juicy fruit, hot biscuits, and potatoes. Sister-in-law also ordered the Hemingway omelette- she loved it. Initial impressions really make a lasting impression. My sister had been here before and said it was a great place for breakfast. Upon entering a supposed host greeted us and then went on her way doing something at the front and didn't care about communicating with us what was going on. A number of people who looked like waitstaff even flew by us, looked at our group and disappeared just as quick. Not sure what was going on and left me a bit confused. When we were seated our waitress came over. A couple of misses but overall a very solid experience with her. If it weren't for the awkwardness at the beginning this would've been a great experience. I ordered the southern Benedict which basically was biscuits with a sausage gravy and a side of mixed greens. It was good but wasn't amazing. The dish was certainly filling but at the end just tasted like a run of the mill meal. Not sure I would be back though. The convenience of location outweighs the quality of service and food. This place is my go-to brunch spot for so many reasons, a few being how beautiful it is inside and all the delicious menu items they have! I always get something different when I go, except for the lemon poppyseed pancakes, which they serve with lemon curd. It's absolutely a must-get and worth the upgrade on any side pancakes you get. This place gets pretty busy on weekends especially holiday weekends and since there isn't a reservation system I recommend seeing if they opened their Yelp waitlist and putting your name down early. They do try to get you seated as soon as possible and get your orders in quickly so you can eat! read more

I have dined in multiple times and also used takeout. There is a huge difference when you order takeout, the ladies in the front do not care about you if you placed a to go order. They are not friendly and they do not treat you the same as a person that dined in. They happily greet the dine in customers and say thank you when you leave, but you don't get any of that treatment when you have placed a to go order. You have to wait long time for someone to take your order because they have to find a waiter willing to answer the phone, then you have to wait for that waiter to take your card to pay for your food when you arrive at the restaurant. I have stood there 10-15mins waiting for the waiter and the ladies in the front jut give you a nasty look while you wait. Can they designate a person for to-go orders or don't accept phone orders at all when the service is this bad. read more

Hemingway is for everyone..... they have an extensive menu and drinks to compliment your entree. The food is bland. Needed both salt and pepper. Being a Louisiana girl I understand food will never match our flavors in many places however this could be a gift to meet dietary needs. I watched my server draw on the chalkboards up at the front, despite being asked for more coffee and the pancakes she forgot that were supposedly "just coming out." It was our first time at Hemingway Brunch but had I known it was going to be freezing in there I would have definitely taken a sweater. My kids and I were so cold it was uncomfortable. We had to order warm drinks to warm up. It was also very loud. The food was fine I ordered the French benny, I also ordered a Bailey's cream and it was more milk & coffee with a tiny splash of Bailey's.
