First, I was quoted $300-$400 for a move-in cleaning, plus an extra $30 to clean two high-ceiling windows after I sent photos. Once they arrived, the quote increased to $450. Second, we had agreed on a specific arrival time, but when I reached out to confirm, she changed it. Thankfully she honored the original time after I pointed it out, but changing the appointment time without asking the customer first was frustrating. Third, the two high-ceiling windows were never cleaned, yet they still expected full payment. When I asked if the total could be reduced to $400 as a courtesy, I was met with a lot of pushback. She then offered to have her husband come the next day to clean the windows for $100, even though I had originally been quoted $30. Lastly, the cleaning itself was only okay. There were still a few missed spots throughout the house. My advice would be to be cautious of very low initial quotes, because the final price may end up much higher than expected.

Brenda came with a partner and they were both incredibly kind, quick, thorough, and easy to communicate with from the start. They got into all the things you don't normally clean on a regular basis--fans, vents, grout, etc.--and even managed to remove a stubborn rust/grout stain at the bottom of my bathtub that I've never been able to get out myself. My entire apartment was seriously spick-and-span when they were done! I will absolutely be using them again and recommending them to everyone I know. So happy I found them!

***** Edited to add, Maid in Orange reached out to me yesterday to apologize and take full…read moreaccountability for the ways their office staff dropped the ball. Happily changed my original rating of 3 stars to 5 stars and am looking forward to my next cleaning! ***** Let me start by saying that Karen did an excellent job - 5 Stars!!! However, I would give the office 1 to 2 Stars. I've used Maid in Orange off and on over the past 4 - 5 years and often recommend them to friends. For this particular visit, I booked one technician for three hours, with an arrival window of 2:00 - 5:00pm. Both the website and the reminder email make it VERY clear that this is an "arrival window" and not the actual hours that the technicians will be in your home. So, I planned my day around being home at 2:00. You can imagine my surprise when my teenage son called me at 1:25pm to tell me that someone was at the door to clean our house! For this particular visit, I did not want my entire house cleaned, I only wanted specific rooms/areas done. Because Karen arrived when I wasn't home (and because my son didn't know which areas of our home I wanted her to clean) she ended up cleaning and moving things that I didn't want her to touch. And thus, 15 minutes of the time that I paid for went to waste. Again, this was NOT Karen's fault, she said the office sent her. Honestly, I would have let this go and not written a review at all, however, I called the office at 1:30pm two days ago and still haven't received a call back. Also, in the past, I have always received reminder texts in the days leading up to my cleaning appointment and usually receive a text or call to let me know that the team is on the way....this time, I did not receive any of those texts. Perhaps there has been a change in ownership or office management??? I can recommend the Maid in Orange technicians but am disappointed with the customer service. When a customer calls your business to let you know that you've made a mistake, a returned call is the bare minimum.

The arrival window we were given was between 9-10 AM. Though we were told that we would be notified 30 minutes prior to the team's arrival, we didn't receive any texts. Today, Esperanza arrived alone at around 9:55 AM and said it would be $150 for 3 hours. Though we expected 2 cleaners for 1.5 hours, we agreed. Esperanza told us later after 2 hours of cleaning, that the kitchen and living room would take 2 hours instead of 1, so our total would change to $200. This was a little unexpected but we agreed to this too. However, she finished after a total of 3 hours of cleaning, she didn't need the additional 4th hour. But when we were about to pay, she charged us $200. We ended up paying $180 but she did maybe an extra 5 minutes at most, not a full hour, for the extra $30 we paid. Esperanza was nice and she cleaned our place well. We just weren't very satisfied with how what we agreed on, and expected, kept changing. Also, I'm not very sure if they take out the trash or not. When I asked, Esperanza agreed, but she looked a little surprised, so I guess this is one extra thing I was left wondering about.

Avoid this company for any move-in/move-out cleans…read more My husband and I booked a full move-in deep clean for our new home. The service was scheduled for today at 9am. Last night, Mary asked to move it up to 7am. We agreed, and my husband was there at 6:50am to let the team in. They didn't show until almost 7:30, with no heads up that they were running late. Around 9:30am, one of the two cleaners texted my husband saying she had an emergency and would come back in a few hours. We were understanding, of course. By 2:30, no one had returned. My husband called Mary (who didn't even know about the emergency), and the cleaner then texted him asking him NOT to tell Mary. When he asked Mary for a discount since we were now way behind schedule, she said she couldn't because it would come out of her own pay. We have movers scheduled for the following morning, so we needed this service completed by tonight. At 3:40, I called Mary myself for a completion estimate and had the most unprofessional customer service interaction I've ever experienced. No apology, no accountability- just blame-shifting and complaints about her own employee. At one point she asked ME to call her workers for her since they weren't responding to her. I said that wasn't my responsibility. She got defensive and aggressive, then demanded to speak to my husband instead. We tried to cancel outright. She refused, claiming the team had done "80% of the work", which was false. It seems like all they'd done was pour cleaner into the toilets. Nothing else was touched. By 4:30pm, the team still hadn't returned. Only when my husband called back to say we were cancelling regardless did she finally agree- and framed it like she was doing us a favor by not charging us. We ended up cleaning the townhome ourselves tonight with the help of my sister, but this ordeal threw off our entire timeline. I don't blame the individual cleaner- emergencies happen. But Mary's complete lack of accountability and professionalism in handling it says everything. Hard pass. ***Response to Owner's Reply*** Mary, while I appreciate your apology, I don't find it genuine. You only attempted to call me to apologize yesterday after my husband called you out on your rude and hostile behavior towards me. You didn't offer any solutions during our conversations. And even admitted to us that you wanted to fire your employee despite knowing her for 10 years. The only thing you offered was a discount towards a future cleaning service, and this was AFTER you agreed to cancel once your team confirmed that they didn't even complete 10% of the job. I hope you learn from this experience and treat your customers and employees with more respect in the future.

Super quick responses and reasonably priced! Anddddd they work on weekends too! Anddddd they saved me because I was freaking out about having to clean after packing and moving. I had scheduled my cleaning for a Sunday afternoon and received a call from Kiran saying that the team they had originally assigned was going to be later than the original time slot because they were at another place. Unfortunately that wasn't going to work for me so Kiran came herself to clean my place! She and Alex did an amazing job and made sure everything was clean and pretty! They were super nice and Alex ended up having to help me clean off a couple of things that were in the garage that I was taking with me (because I can't do spiders) and even helped me put them into my car because they were heavy. They took a little bit longer to clean my place but I'm glad they did because they actually cleaned so many things that other places would have you add on. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and go through them in the future!
