We just tried this for the first time. We had the brisket, mac and cheese, and baked beans. They threw in two sauces and gave us a banana pudding because of our wait (which was not bad at all). To start with, the brisket is superb. It is tender, flavorful, and has the wonderfully subtle smoked flavor from how it was slow cooked. The sauces were both delicious. One was on the sweet side, the other more smoky. I was happy that neither made the mistake of being hot, which only serves to numb your tastebuds so you can't fully taste the meat. And you'll want to taste this meat. The sides were both excellent. I did not expect to be impressed by the banana pudding, but boy was I wrong. It is perfect. It has Nilla wafers in it, and the pudding is not overly sweet. It has no artificial flavor to it at all. Add a little homemade whipped cream, and you won't be able to find a more delicious dessert. If you ever tried the banana pudding from Soul Kitchen (which used to be in Oswego), Hell's BBQ's is better. We will return soon for the pulled pork. Best smoked meat in the area! Full of flavor, tender, juicy, and high quality cuts of meat. I'm not sure what the hell reference is because this food is HEAVENLY. The sides are equally delicious and flavorful. It isn't cheap but the servings are large and it's comparably priced with other high end BBQ. read more

My job usually takes me all over the US where I luckily get to eat great BBQ from places like Hard Eight in Coppell TX or Jack Stack in Kansas City MO just to name a few. I usually don't mind the $35 dollar lunch because they have the quality to justify their prices and the portions are big enough to fill you up. I really hate to write 2 star reviews but we came to Hell's BBQ with very low expectations but wanted to try the peach cobbler anyway, we arrived at lunch time on a Sunday and there was only one person waiting on a to go order, we ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches, one with a side of baked beans and the other one with a side of mac and cheese, an order of peach cobbler and a bottled water, our bill including a small tip came to $42.30, not too bad but it was simply not good at all, the sandwiches and sides for $12.99 each were too small, the pork was dry and the peach cobbler was horrible, one thing I know for sure is, we will not be coming back. read more

The bbq was dry and just not up to bbq standards. No one knew anything usually real bbq places people talk to you ask questions or recommend . None of that happened. Our area needed a good barbecue place and Hell's offers that and more. The barbecue is absolutely delicious. The sides (Mexican corn, veggies/potatoes, Rio rolls) are so good that I'm actually grateful they are only open on weekends. Their desserts are a little on the sweeter side but if you aren't afraid of a good sweet dessert, definitely give them a try. My only negative comment would be that I keep wanting to try their apple cobbler and it's always sold out. I also need them to stay open a little later. First, I contacted the business prior to writing this. I'll always give a way for them to make it right before leaving a review. I ordered a fair amount of food on NYE and was excited to try them as I'd had a recommendation from a friend. Overall, the meat was good (nothing amazing, but pretty good) and the brisket eggroll was delicious. What I have the major issue with I ordered the loaded nachos (quite pricey at $20) the chips were super stale and inedible. I was told that they had just opened a bag as I was the first order of the day and that they would let the supplier know. That's great and all but that doesn't correct it for me. I won't return and suggest anyone else find other great local bbq places with quality ingredients and better customer service to spend your $ at. read more

My husband and I are complete foodies, especially since we both have been in the restaurant industry for 25+ years. There are no really great BBQ places around here, so when we heard about this place and based off the reviews, we were excited to give it a try. This place is tucked away, and in our opinion, not in the best location for success. When we walked in the door there were only 4 people inside eating and there were 4+ girls behind the counter standing and waiting for customers to show up. It was decorated cute for the holiday. We ordered a 2 meat combo with brisket and pulled pork, a large mac and cheese, 1 pound rib tips, a large Mexican corn, a banana pudding and a cognac bread pudding. The price tag was $98.19 and it was NOT worth the money. I will start with NOTHING was seasoned or had flavor. This is BBQ and it should be oozing flavor. The pulled pork was dry. the rib tips were sliced too thin and very boney. The brisket was cooked perfectly, but again had ZERO flavor. The mac and cheese was over cooked and mushy. The Mexican corn...well, I should have known better than to order it here. The coleslaw that came with the 2 meat meal, again it lacked flavor. The 2 rolls that came with the meal were not fresh. The banana pudding was very thin and runny. The only good thing was the cognac bread pudding. This was the only thing we did not throw away. They have 2 sauces; hot and regular. Both tasted the same and the "hot" was not. Overall, this was very disappointing and whom ever is back in the kitchen or in charge of this place, should rethink the quality of food they are putting out and the manor in how they are cooking this food. We should have walked out right after we walked in once we noticed the lack of customers. We will continue our search for real authentic BBQ. Too costly for quality. read more

Officially the BEST barbecue I have ever tasted!! I had the pleasure of enjoying Hell's BBQ Catering last week. They were gracious enough to donate and prepare an entire meal to our charity event. They prepared and donated enough food to feed all 250 attendees and 30 homeless people the following day. Aside from their amazing donation, the food itself was absolutely FABULOUS! They prepared BBQ such as chicken, pork, and ribs, mac-n-cheese (AMAZING!!), Chipotle Chicken Salas (their specialty salad), homemade cornbread, baked beans, rice, deviled eggs, and homemade peach cobbler. Everything was simply delicious and obviously prepared with love.
