    protein pasta bowl

This place inspired me to start a Yelp account. It was part of a food tour (the most unique spots in NYC) that I did with my mom, and I've had food from here at least twice a week since then. The tiropitta and spanakopitta are phenomenal, and I've tried every one of their meals with no complaints. Try the pasta bowl or halloumi burger and thank me later. Also, it's a cool little spot, nicely decorated, with the sweetest people behind the register, and the owner who's there a lot is always so attentive and you can tell he loves customer service. I don't live THAT close but I love taking a walk every time when I pick up my food (and it's in the best neighborhood too anyway).

Recent bakery opened in the Village about three months ago, focusing on halloumi savory and sweet items, imported from Cyprus. Their smaller items are weighed by the ounce... I immediately knew I wanted the halloumi ball and puff (2 items, $5.12 with tax)... OMG, these bite size (or 2-3 bites) were like a warm cheesy hug! I could've and would've gobbled a bunch more, they were so good with a crunchy pastry (flaky for the puff). After finishing the first 2 items, I also got their bagel bite with halloumi and cream cheese, what a fun way to highlight their products and a nice nod to NYC, plus a spinach. I thought I would bring one home to save it for later in the day, but I ate them all in the store!! They also have gluten free, non halloumi and some grilled items... it was a pleasure speaking with Constantino, the owner, who has plans to continue growing the menu with sandwiches, quesadillas, and I think he said vegetarian gyros. I look forward to returning so I can get the same items I ate today, plus try their sweet and other savories that I haven't tried yet. After one visit, I am confident saying I'm adding this to my faves list/highly recommend list. Go support this small business, what a great treat in a neighborhood packed with so many foodie possibilities.

I was in the West Village and when I was crossing the street, I saw Hello Halloumi, and recognized it from Instagram. I decided to get a small box and tried the fried halloumi fritters and the cream cheese and halloumi bagel bombs, and they were AMAZING. The fritters could use a little jam on top. Sweetness would pair nicely with the fried cheese. Their Instagram says they are "A savory bakery and specialty coffee shop in the West Village unlike any other. Give them a try!

I've been intrigued about Hello Halloumi on Greenwich between 6th and 7th Ave. I love halloumi cheese so my attention was piqued. I swung by recentlyto pick up 2 Too Good To Go orders, and it ended up being such a great experience! I managed to score two boxes--one packed with sweet treats and the other full of savory pastries. The guy working the counter was really nice and actually took the time to walk me through exactly what was in each box, which I really appreciated. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be grabbing these again.

Really cute newish bakery/coffee shop in the village that has traditional Cypress foods. I was getting brunch with a friend nearby and she heard they were having a promotional thing. We came by and they were already offering up some of their halloumi to try. Oh boy is that melt in your mouth delicious ooey gooey cheese. It was hot and freshly made. I ended up buying an iced latte and a nutella chocolate puff pastry for myself and one for my boyfriend. A little bit pricey because I guess they price their baked and fresh goods by the ounce. The 2 little puffs were about $5ish bucks. The coffee was super strong and good flavor. The dessert puff was delicious and like a mini croissant. My friend's truffle made with halloumi and I think it was rose and chocolate flavored looked decadent. They also sell more savory items wrapped in filo pastry with halloumi and other items, gryos, sandwiches, protein bowls, and salads. Another item that caught my eye is that they have their own version of the dot cake but called the rose cake. They explained the cake is mixed in with a floral flavor and probably is a hella lot better than other versions and no lines to wait for it. Definitely worth checking out!

Hellohallouminyc just opened in the West Village, bringing NYC its first-ever halloumi-inspired bakery. This charming spot serves adorable bite-size pastries made with authentic halloumi imported straight from Cyprus, giving every bite that perfect mix of salty, buttery goodness. Their menu has an amazing range of sweet and savory pastries -- super flaky, super flavorful, and totally unique. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options, so there's something for everyone. We tried the Ice Rose Latte and it was incredible. The bagel bites and three-cheese pastry , nutella puffs were definite favorites too. They even offer catering if you're planning an event and want something fun and different. If you love cute cafés, creative pastries, and great coffee, this West Village newcomer absolutely belongs on your list.

A cute spot that sells delicious savory and sweet pastries that can be filled with halloumi. The space itself is small but you can see all the options they sell through the glass case. You pay by weight as the savory and sweet have differences prices per ounce. They also have cute reusable bags. By far the friendliest service with Em guiding me through her favorites and giving my recommendations! Loved how I brought up mushroom and immediately she asked the kitchen if their mushroom halloumi were ready. Really appreciate the tentiveness and how nice everyone was. My favorites were the fig poptart and mushroom halloumi! 100000% going to come back and try more pastries and also give their drinks a try too!

It's a unique concept narrowly nestled in West Village. The pastries are smaller than average but, that is because you pay by weight. Some people may not like that idea, but I think its a wonderful way to get so sample a variety of goods, without having to down 3 normal pastries. They also serve coffee and some sweets, but this shop is mostly known for its savory baked goods. For $6 I walked away with a halloumi focaccia, a 3 cheese pastry, and halloumi and mushroom pastry. My favorite: the halloumi and mushroom. It was so deeply savory and packed with mushrooms. The 3 cheese pastry was, as expected, cheesy. The focaccia was a letdown, too flavorless imo. But then again, the server never listed it in her recommendations and I can see why. Overall, its well worth a visit if you're not into sweet pastries and would like to try a variety of things without being overwhelmed!

Love the protein pasta bowl! There is a buy 1 get 1 free deal. It's flavorful and quite filling; I could only eat half of the bowl in one sitting . The cafe is quite small, didn't see any seats. It's more of a grab and go place. I would check out this place again next time but would love to try one of their drinks, maybe the rose latte.

The Mango and Pistachio looked so realistic and mirrored the flavors perfectly. I love the size of their cakes which are perfect to share with a group of 4. I indulged in their Black Sesame Mochi Cake and Blueberry Chiffon Cake which both have the fluffiest sponge cake base, a fluffy vibrant cream, and fresh ingredients and fruit. Finally decided to try this place after walking by it for years. I refused to try this in the past,…read morebecause I didn't like how many items they put on display. It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite. I will definitely be back for more cookies. This was such a wonderful find, and I'm so happy my coworker introduced me to this place!
